David Gessel's Auto Service has always treated us right. We have taken all of our vehicles there and get treated kindly and fairly. They will not do more work than what is discussed and if anything else comes up when they crack open our cans of worms, they always call before proceeding if it is a judgement call issue.

We have taken our vehicles here a handful of times. They have always treated us kindly, fairly, and with honesty. Most recently they replaced my valve cover gaskets and put new turbos and all fittings on my ecoboost. Runs better than ever.
David and his Mechanics are wonderful people. Very experienced and compassionate people who actually care about their work and Customers. They've always managed to take care of the mechanical issues I've had . With that being said their prices are reasonable they're not trying to take advantage of the customer.
Don’t go here!! Stay away! They charge you for parts. Then when those parts are defective they want to charge you even more money for the labor to replace the bad part. Bad customer service as they yelled us when we told them we wouldn’t be paying to have the part replaced since it was defective. It should last longer than 5 months.
This is the second time this part has failed.
Absolute joke of a business STAY AWAY took my mustang there for a clutch job on the 10th, got it back and it chattered... all they did was blame it on me and when they got it all out it and said it was "faulty" then we take a look at it and its completely brand new no problems, its now the 4th of august and just got the car TOWED back and were doing it ourselves took them 24 days and 800 DOLLARS!! for them to do nothing and waste my time & money, theres a whole lot more to the story and how unprofessional he was but its not worth anymore of my time, absolute joke.
Edit: comes to find out they DID NOT put transmission fluid in the car after charging us even more money for it!
Awesome place. Awesome people. They are very honest and don’t push you to get extra stuff done that’s unnecessary. Been around a long time and I’ll definitely bring my car to them when I need to! They had my car down very quickly and had some major things fixed for under $2k. Much appreciated and highly recommended.
This place has always been honest and trustworthy in my opinion so in reference to the review by BLKMarketsell, you’re obviously not telling the whole story.. what kind of idiot tries to make an automatic car into a standard and then doesn’t even know how to drive it.. use common sense.

Really good place to take your vehicle. I brought my mom's car in that I inherited. Most car places cost you an arm and a leg. They find anything they can test or do to charge you more money. These guys did a test and figured out what was wrong in a couple of hours and only charged me $30. They were very friendly and knowledgeable.
You guys are very Professional and you told me exactly what my vehicle needed unlike every other place that tries to scam you. you guys are very good and my van runs brand-new and perfect I will always come back to you guys.

Great local mechanic shop. They diagnosed my issue for $99 and put the part the car needed (coil pack) on and gave me the option to keep it and pay for the parts and labor or the option to just pay for the diagnostics and take the part off which I liked. Went ahead and bought their part and the car runs like a dream. Will be back with any other vehicle issues.
They are wonderful, they take good care of our car. When I go there with a problem, they know what it is and tell me what it is and even show it to me. Very reasonable priced. Very nice family business and very pleasant workers.
I would recommend them to anyone. Someone recommended them to me after I had dealt with another garage for 20 years and I was lost as to who to go to. I am so grateful to the person who recommended Gessel's to me.
I tried to do a brake job on my own vehicle and got in over my head a bit (drum brakes), so I relented and had it towed to Mr. Gessel's shop. He was professional and worked through to make sure my brakes were in good working order. He discovered a brake line that was damaged (On reflection I remember hitting a parking stop, most likely when it was damaged) and replaced it quickly. He corrected a couple of things that I had wrong and I am now able to stop, which is a good result. I had never met Mr. Gessel before and have a natural aversion to mechanics after being ripped off in the past, but Mr. Gessel is a good honest man who charges reasonable prices, traits that are sometimes difficult to find in Polk County. I have already been recommended him to other people.
Once again, David and his team of Technicians have went out of their way to repair my car and get it back on the road for me and my family. Went to Gessel's to have a new starter installed, they found an oil leak, just had that fixed and change oil. Going back today to have tires rotated. They will definitely be my choice of repair for my car from now on. Wonderful people and very friendly and knowledgeable.
Went here to have them just look at an issue with my power steering leaking, just expecting to get an estimate, however they were able to find and correct the issue, a loose hose clamp towards the bottom of my car within an hour! And charged me a really fair price for it all too! Will definitely be coming back if any further issues with my car arise. Good place!
