Very shady. . Car towed here. Hour later, I asked to come and get my belongings. I was told you can only get them on Monday through Friday 8 to 5. Because he didn’t have anyone To let me get it. I said well what if I wanna pick up my car, he said oh you can get it now. Come on man -make it make sense. And I also said his credit card machine was down so I needed to bring cash. . I will be reporting them to the Attorney General.
I would not take card over the phone. I was in the hospital battling pneumonia. They charged me for the week that I was in the hospital and then in person they could not take card, only cash saying their machine was down. Don't trust them, seem very shady.I would stay far away
Got into accident last night and had my car towed here by SPPD. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helped me promptly to understand everything needed to retrieve my items from my vehicle. I had to ask one of the tow guys a question, and he was more than helpful. Good company that seems to care. Thank you for treating me with respect. It goes a long way, especially in my situation.
All I can say is "knowing is 1/2 the battle" so f what Google say. Just forget completely about that, THEY OPEN ON THE WEEKEND folks. And that should have actually been obvious because they are a top rated, well established establishment that tows for the 911 accident responders and car accidents don't take a break jus cause it's the weekend.
Take it from me phone 1st ask the pertinent questions and have all your instructed documents and you too will have a smooth process. Some of they rules or requirements may seem a but too stringent for when you just trying to pop in and pop out on principal but these original 2 step and 3 step verification actually goes to serve us as the vehicle owners.
All my stuff was accountable for by the time I got my papers and proofs in hand and that was a full 5 days at least and 2 yards later. I had got T-boned on a Saturday and was tied up with new work until Wednesday and my joint towee to a whole nother over flow lot by then and trust me things worked out fine. Bob was honest understanding and unwavering on the Monday 8am when I went in. I called on Wednesday b4 going in just to confirm the process again and like the wind it was smooth sailing. "KNOWING IS 1/2 THE BATTLE " and I can only speak from the salvage and savior end. Now if you got your car Towed for some other testing the boundaries reason I can only hope these tid bits help you to cop your vehicle back with the least resistance, hiccups or hurdles.
Sometimes life ain't perfect but paperwork and process are just that. Coo coo I'm out. And I hope this helps you out your jam as expeditiously abd timely as possible.

My car was towed here following a major collision. We visited the next day to ensure everything had been removed and to take some photos. The gentleman at the counter was professional and courteous (we overheard him help another customer experiencing some documentation difficulties, and he was helpful and patient) . The gentleman who escorted us to the car was simply amazing. He was sympathetic and genuinely concerned. He helped us access some items which we would have had to leave without his assistance. He treated us with sympathy and kindness at a difficult time, for which we are very grateful.
Went to grab my belongings out of my car after a horrendous accident. Bob and the guy with the accent were super helpful. Thanks so much life is crazy as it is glad kindness still exists!
WORST TOWING COMPANY Ive dealt with...besides being rude and annoyed with everybody (most towing yard people are) they seem to careless about their clients, once they have your vehicle they do everything to keep it as long as possible to charge all kinds of fees, including moving it to different yards...after they have your car they keep asking for all sort of documentations, calls from insurance and forms.. they also make it nearly impossible to removed your own belongings even with proper ID. I happened to be involved in a car accident and the police, I guess randomly, calls for towing (that or they have some kind of companiy list for this service) and the insurance company and me had the missfortune to get these guys having to go at least 3 times personally after the accident to finally have car taken to repair shop ....AVOID.
I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about my experience was great everyone was so kind and helped me out with my car that had been towed after theft and crash. Thank you to everyone at Tri J Towing for making my day a little bit better
I had to go here with my daughter after she was in an accident and the police department called a tow truck to remove the vehicle. I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. Bob (owner I think) was friendly, kind and explained everything I needed to know in detail. Tom, who towed our car at the scene and later helped me retrieve any personal items from the wreckage after it arrived at Tri-J was very friendly and compassionate and helpful. The car was totaled and we didn't want it. I called two wreckage companies to sell it for scrap and to pick it up. I told Bob what I was planning to do and I learned that they also buy cars. He offered me more than the other two companies and it was another friendly and stress free experience. I would give them more than five stars if I could.
We are home safely and grateful. You are our Angel. Helping others in stressful situations. The entire process was simple and enjoyable. Geoff was amazing. And the truck was AWESOME. He had our car up in like 2 minutes! No wasted time.

Went here to pick up my truck after a minor incident. For 1 they are way over charging the good people of St. Pete with crazy storage fees along with outrageous towing fees which the occasional "misc" charges for God knows what. With the icing on the cake being how incredibly rude every single person at the yard was to me! From the counter to the yard to driving my truck away I was treated with nothing but disrespect and discurticy. I hope this helps at least a few people chose somewhere else!
If I could leave a 0 star review I would. My boyfriend got a flat tire on his way to work this morning and he was less then 10 minutes from his job and he just needed his truck towed to his job and they told him that their flat rate is $250?! Are you kidding me that is absolutely a scam for how close they had to tie his truck. Never again will we use this company and be aware for anyone else who needs a tow in the area they will charge you a flat rate fee of $250 no matter what.
Need better communication, told me that my car was on hold from that Saint Pete police and that no funds were going to be adding up daily and when I went to go pick up my car to my dismay $200 additional than what I thought was gonna be paying! How can I say? I’m not surprised!
I lost my car to a flood John came and towed me he made the worse situation into a better he has a great personality most helpful I have to say he was the best throng out of the worse situation I owe him a cake next time when in st Pete I just want to thank him personally and really appreciate all he did.. he’s the best
I was recently in an accident where someone hit me and my car was unable to be driven. Tri-J was there so quickly, the driver was the nicest, and Tara kept me informed and updated so I knew what was going on during the entire process.

A long way from home -
On Sunday night I just got done visiting my dad for Father's Day around Lake Okeechobee. On the way back, thankfully in St. Pete, my car broke down. Smoking out of the exhaust, rolling hopelessly on the highway for an exit to get to a safe point. The car hesitated and I got to a point where I could coast in neutral to get to the side of the road, blocking a gateway. Luckily, it was about 12:30 am so no one was trying to get in and out of the industrial complex I was next to.
I called Geico, I have roadside, I figured they'd be able to help me out and get someone out soon. Nope. ETA was 4am. How could I possibly wait that long on the side of the road? I was already tired, hungry, annoyed that my car broke. Geico welcomed me to call other tow companies and they would reimburse me. Why not? I figured even if someone was able to come out at 3 that was just an hour less that I would be stuck on the side of the road.
I called Tri-J towing. I believe from the time the phone call ended to when the tow truck showed up was about 20 minutes. I was met by a friendly man named John, who took pride in his work and demonstrated the characteristics of a true professional. He hops out of the truck, greets me, asks for keys, not to mention apologizes as the normal response time is 15 minutes- nonsense! I was so grateful to not be stuck on the side of the road and he was plenty quick for me. In under 5 minutes the car was on the tow truck and we were on our way back home - another 30 minute drive.
I was a bit shook up after breaking down, nerves on edge, adrenaline pumping. John wasn't just a tow truck driver. He was clean, he was an ear, he had stories and wisdom that alone were worth the towing fee.
Truly a friendly company, I hope the next time I require their services of towing it will be under better circumstances.

This towing company really put me at ease and made me feel like family after just being in a car wreck. They were willing to go above and beyond to help me with all the issues that I was having. I highly recommend them for any services that you need. It’s truly hard to find a company that makes you feel like family.
Everyone was extremely helpful and informative. From the office staff to Jesse who drives the tow truck. Obviously no one wants to tow their car but if you need to then these guys are very polite and professional.
This Tow company and tow truck driver, Jesse deserve recognition. He was very professional and handled my vintage vehicle with care. I called and requested him as my driver again to tow from home to her shop. It’s nice to know we can request the same driver and have him assigned to pickup without hesitation! My car was towed to this place while I was unconscious after an accident. I would have called my own tow truck and had it towed to my house. They have some kind of deal with SPPD. Not only did I lose my car, but I had to pay $250 for something I never asked for. Talk about kicking someone when they're down.
Car was stolen and impounded - overall terrible. But Carla was really wonderful and had great customer services. Drivers were nice too. Helped us out when AAA couldn't.
They were very pleasant and helpful. My Harley was towed after a serious accident and they were great assisting me with the insurance company, getting me access to the bike and gathering my personal items. Greet them with a smile, you'll get one back!
I had a great experience here. There are only a few people working, so patience is key. John was phenomenal, he was so kind and helpful to me. He honestly made the whole experience for me better, even though it was not ideal to have to be there in the first place. Would recommend. Give John a raise! :)
Not one of my fav places to go but...
Had to go with my parents(elderly) for unforeseen circumstances not caused by them. The window lady was professional and patient.(older lady with beautiful white hair cute hairstyle and pretty makeup). The service man that assisted my parents was kind and courteous and well. Despite the fact that I'm sure they have to deal with some real characters. Thanks for the good service to my parents.
I was involved in a car accident and this company towed my vehicle. After they were called by the police department, I immediately googled the reviews. I was nervous about leaving my vehicle there for an extra day because of all the bad reviews. When I got there everything actually went pretty smooth. Service wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Also, I left a pair of expensive shade, and my garage door opener in the vehicle. They called me to let me know that they will hold it for me until I come to pick it up. That was very nice of them because they could have kept it, crushed the car and said nothing. Everyones experience is different; mine was an easy experience especially after the crazy accident I had.
A friend of mines car was stolen and so we had to retrieve it from this place. From the start we were helped by people with great helpful and knowledgeable work ethic. Specifically Diane and Justin, who not only were hands on but they were happy to explain why a certain thing was the way it was and were happy to answer any questions we had for them. I even inquired into whether or not they have any positions for employment available only to be very happy to hear that they just may. Definitely two people who do their jobs as good as anyone and also possess great customer service skills as well. I would give them more stars if available and would recommend this place to anyone who has the need for any service offered here.
They did a REALLY GREAT job towing our car after an accident left my wife T-boned in the middle of the road by another driver that was at fault! Fast, courteous and friendly, they kept us informed all the time they had our car!
We came in today to the shop today and had a great experience with Justin. He made us feel very comfortable and at ease regarding our vehicle. The front desk staff was very helpful as well. I would definitely recommend thos company to others.
