Great all around from their management of the facilities, pricing, and customer service. Local landfill for us as we’re based out of Pinellas County, FL. Responsive when you call with questions as well
If you don’t bring a hard hat they will charge you an arm and a leg. $54 ton should of been my price but it was like $130 because we had to buy hard hats and vest so we can play “look at me, I’m working” like the government workers do while they yap to their baby mommas
Less than 12 bucks for a truckload. Cannot beat that. Quick and convenient. That less than 12 bucks isn't for any trailers. Just a truckbeds worth. Very well worth it for the convenience.
What could be easier? It’s $11 to drive up with your junk and hand-unload into a covered transfer station. Yes, you have to pay with a card, that’s pretty standard now .
We just moved here from Texas. Please believe this is really easy. No hour-long lines, no need to prove you live in the county. This is GREAT!!
Just don’t miss the exit like I did on my first trip, it’s an extra 16 mile turn around .
Best part of moving so far, was tossing allot of trash!! Got to back in, throwing, hurling and, thrashing everything into their well manicured piles. Customer service was outstanding!! Big recommendations!!!
Every time I go to Top Golf in St Petersburg I see this facility processing and burning trash. There is a huge plume of smoke coming from here that extends for at least 1/4 mile!
This pollution is unacceptable when there are other ways to dispose the trash more sensibly.
EDIT: since the review the city reached out to me and informed me the facility is clean and the smoke we see is water vapor. Thanks guys!
Horrible service I came from Pasco and I was unable to unload my trash just because I’m from Pasco. I called an hour in advance, saying that I’m from Pasco to get to the location and receive the news that I can’t dump here because I’m from Pasco spoke to a supervisor And I told her if I didn’t say I’m from Pasco would you let me through? She happily said that’s a possibility horrible horrible horrible service.
On top of everything else we have to deal with cleaning up, now I'm not allowed to use the landfill. Won't accept cash. Not everybody has access to banking services. "This note is legal tender...". No way this is legal, no matter many rich people say it is. Imagine all the illegal dumping that is being caused by some entry level politician's ego trip.
This place is great for most waste products. Chemicals, paints, and things of that nature is at another location, but that's only 2 roads away from this location, which is very helpful. This location is great for large/bulky waste such as furniture. They have a variety of places for different types of waste, including things such as televisions. They employees there are very helpful, thoughtful, and pleasant in nature. I highly recommend using Pinellas County Solid Waste!
Governor Desantis is reviewing the leadership team here. Most will be fired. During Hurricane Milton, FEMA called and told them to close the dump. So 300+ haulers had to re-dump thier debris back onto the streets of Pinellas County. People are getting fired, rest assured. Meanwhile, homeowners couldnt have thier properties cleared out in time, and mold problems began becaus the solid waste department closed the facility and left it deserted.
First time I ever had to go to the dump for anything. Had to pay $20.00 for a hard hat / vest which I thought was odd but whatever, I bet forcing that keeps their insurance premiums low.
I must say, every employee interaction I had from the lady who checked me right when you pulled through the gate, the lady who was at the scale and the gentleman who was at the scale on my way out could not have been nicer.
Mind you, I pulled in 10 minutes before the dump closed and have never been to a dump in my life. What great people I met. (hard) hats off to those folks, made a stressful day a lot better.
One tip because every company can always improve, I followed the black signs and then they just ended. Fortunately, someone was in front of me who appeared to know where they were going so I followed them. May want to look into your signage to be a little more clear. Not sure I dumped in the right place but you guys have bulldozers and stuff, I am sure you will figure it out. :-)

Usually very good, but today was frustrating. The message says no storm debris. I'm moving and needed to throw away a few things. When I got there they said only waste trucks! Told me to just leave the trash in my yard. I get we just had a storm, but at least clarify the message on your machine!
The reason for this rating is due to the citizens of Pinellas county just had a hurricane and they're trying to charge $29 for a hard hat and a vest just to go into your yard waste. I have a problem with people trying to make money off someone's hard times, so sad...
It's a solid waste dump it works. But now I'm veering away from going here as they stole a cc number and used it at Walmart and at the dump 2 times even tho I was there 1 time. Never again will they touch my card. Be careful our issue hasn't been fixed. And have a total of almost 500 dollars in attempts now.DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD. FORCE THEM TO USE THE ONE OUTSIDE WHERE YOU CAN WATCH YOUR CARD CLOSELY.
Great place if you like the little imp holding the number signs watch as an American flag was just ran over several times right in front of him. Of course to do anything about it he would have had to get out of his chair. What a disgrace, to many soldiers came home under that same flag for him to just sit there. The flag was retrieved by a driver from another company.
Amazing customer service from the man at the scale who explained everything we needed to do, to the men at the dumpster area who got us to the area to dump and to the man at the exit scale.
Everyone was pleasant, with a smile and a great attitude!

Whomever the two men were at the residential hand unload area on Saturday 8/28 8:20am were so nice!!! It was our first time going to the waste complex so anxiety was high. Complex was great! Subaru full of fence pieces and tires $4.25.
These guys work very hard to keep this place open. You can’t beat the dump fees here they are a blessing I come all the way from Sun City to dump here.
In the midst of an emotionally and physically exhausting slog through clearing out our deceased parents' hoarder shed, my brother and I found ourselves far, far from home and in need of a way to dispose of piles upon piles of trash in an unfamiliar town. Everyone told us that using the Pinellas County dump was easy and at $11 a load, a bargain. They were too modest in describing this municipal-service gem. Highlights: This place is highly organized. It's easy to know where to go and what to do. The staff here is beyond helpful--and incredibly pleasant and friendly. Five stars for customer service alone. I can't emphasize enough how stressed out, sweaty, weary, and filthy my brother and I were when we arrived at the facility, yet everyone we interacted with treated us with kindness, respect, and even humor. We had questions, they had answers. The work/dump space itself was easy to access and efficiently run. After nearly impaling ourselves on nails and tripping over junk at the house, this turned out to be one of the safest places we worked in all week. At the end of the day, my brother and I had a long and enthusiastic conversation over a beer about how positive our experience had been at the Pinellas County Solid Waste Disposal Complex and how we felt obligated to share details of our experience here where we could sing the praises of this place and its people. From termite-riddled lumber to gallons of paint and household chemicals to the sad leftover detritus of lives long lived, everything found its final, responsible resting place, while the staff guided us in disposing of everything easily and left us feeling positive about it all. In a world of dysfunction and bureaucracy, it was a pleasant surprise to encounter such an efficiently run municipal service center.
We've been coming here for a couple of years now. We moved to unincorporated Pinellas and have very limited trash collection services around our home. We usually wait until we have a full truck bed of things to throw away to drive down here.
The gate has 4 scales and usually goes really fast. You will stop by a scale and pay a flat fee (if you have a small truck/car) It costs us $10 per run.
The staff is very helpful and organized. We are in and out fast. They are also open on Saturdays.
I attended the Pinellas county Eco Fun Festival 2017. It was such a great learning experience. I learned how Pinellas county turns out trash into energy.
This place is amazing. Im at different dumps everyday and this one is by far the cleanest most easiest and fastest dump to use and go through. Fair with pricing and super excellent staff, from scale house to hand unload. Pinellas County knows what they're doing here. Always packed and never long waits. Keep it up guys!!!
