Well it goes like this...we needed a battery for our suv. The young man at the counter gets a rating of "6" stars for customer service! His manager gets the "1." My husband asked the young man if they had a battery lift strap. He showed us the one they sold, but was not likely to do the job safely. So my husband asked if we could borrow the one they use. The nice clerk asked if we would have it back in 2 hours (before they close) and we said yes--we would changevit right now. The young man said he would ask his manager. In less than a minute, the young man returned and said his Mgr said NO. At the very least, the manager could have come in to the store to give his reasoning...but no. Poor, poor customer service! The young man behind the counter should be given a leadership role. He already has one in the store to train.
First off Alan is my hero! My car brake fluid light came on and I wasn't sure what to do. When I came in he found exactly what I needed in less than 10 minutes. He also went above and beyond and showing my how to add the fluid and explaining to me the best way to ensure the longevity of the product. I was on and out in 15 minutes and got home safely. This location has excellent staff and customer service. I'll definitely be back.
Outstanding customer service from the GM, Courtney Wells! I had an issue where the camera and home screen went blank in my 2014 SUV. This location closes at 6pm and I arrived there around 5:55pm, so I was hoping for a miracle to get a diagnosis and answer on what to do. Courtney welcomed me upon entering, then immediately jumped into action! She plugged in a diagnostic tool, which didn't provide her with a code for a default.
However, that didn't deter her from helping me. She got info on the vehicle and used her own cell phone to google and try to find a solution. It was a sweltering 100 degrees outside and she was kneeling on the pavement by a hot engine, switching out fuses and working for 10-15 minutes after closing time until she figured it out.
I was shocked that she took the time and effort to go above & beyond what most would do to make sure she resolved the issue. Courtney deserves special recognition for doing this! I'll be a customer at this location and recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks again for all your help and outstanding service!
Not a car guy, but the help and info I get helps me knock out projects in no time!
It may be 50 cents cheaper at Walmart but at AAP they can offer tips to get it installed easier , its like they specialize in cars 🤯🤙😅
Great store with knowledgeable folks. They tested my battery and it was bad so I bought a battery and one of the guys put it in for me right in the parking lot
Purchased a new battery with Nguyen and Carl installed it for me. He did it quickly and was very kind and friendly. I would highly recommend this location!

Good location but sometimes difficult to get out of because of traffic in the area. For those unfamiliar with AAP, they will Liam you tools, small deposit, for just about Danny job you have to do!
The store was quiet when I entered so they immediately offered to help me. I purchased a battery & they immediately installed it. Great service! I have been to stores where I was the only customer & still had to wait; not here.
The two men working at this location tonight we're very helpful. I called up to make sure they had the battery I needed was in stock and then when I got up there they tested my battery to make sure I really DID need a new one and then replaced it very quickly. Afterwards they tested the alternator to make sure it was good as well. Thank you
Been to plenty of auto parts stores. I will drive out of my way to go to my advance on Gunn in Odessa.
Always have what I need, always friendly and the free battery, wiper etc install is a huge bonus. I can't say enough good things about this store and staff. Keep up the great work guys, we really do appreciate and notice the difference you make.
Abdel was phenomenal. He is cordial, professional and real. He helped replace my annoying Ford battery with ease. I will definitely be a returning customer at this specific location. Carlos also was helpful over the phone before coming in.
This is the best Auto Parts store, and the best Advance Auto store that I have ever done business with. James, Jason and Richard especially stand out from the norm for there very high level of knowledge, expertise, friendliness, and helpfulness. They are always ready to help with a question and have the automotive expertise to give you the information that you need. I cannot possibly praise those three gentlemen highly enough. Five stars just aren't enough to express it.

How can you beat the online 20% off coupons?! Going shopping online while in the store is almost faster and definitely cheaper than going to the cash register! ( that is if their computer system is running quick like it was today)
I have to say the customer service I received a few weeks ago was amazing! I needed to buy a new battery and the guys working that night we're happy to install it for me. But, when I lifted the hood one of them smelled something odd and noticed smoke coming off the battery.
He told me to get my family out of the car because it was so hot that it felt like it was about to explode! We brought my family inside and hung out for a bit. They said it needed about an hour or so to cool down before they could do anything else and hope it doesn't explode under the hood.
I cam back about an hour later and the battery was still hot, but it had cooled down enough that we were able to safely remove it and install the new battery without harm.
I'm writing this review because their reaction was perfect! They put life ahead of money and they were totally invested into the safety of my family and themselves. I will always shop a Advanced Auto parts because of these two amazing people 😀
Over the past 10 years I've bought things here and they've always attempted to help and have been pretty good. Today James didn't care to put any effort. If the part number didn't pull up in his computer he didn't try anything else. It's bad service like this which will have me buying this part and the next 10 years of my business somewhere else.
3 guys working, 1 guy outside installing a battery, 1 guy collecting parts for a big online order, 1 older guy who reeks of cigarettes who's behind the counter, dressed in uniform.
Im waiting to be checked out, older guy tells me " I'm not clocked in " proceeds to walk by me and goes to smoke outside?
If you aren't "on the clock" why are you behind the counter with an dvance auto parts uniform on?
