Will never be coming back here again. Extremely rude staff. The worker made me pull out the scrap I had in my car by hand. The wait was super long only to be charged base price for scrap. GO TO WORLD WIDE SCRAP METALS. Do NOT waste your time and money here. The process to collect my money was also really long and strenuous questions. They were unloading wire right next to my car. I wouldn’t be surprised if they damaged my car while I was checking out And grabbing my money. Really unsafe conditions at this scrapyard, surprised that I didn’t get hit by one of their workers. They need to work on practicing safe around their customers. This is a very bad look for scrapyards. I know that the work is really dirty, but they need to be more safe around customers.
Avoid at all costs, unless you want much less than the market value. Useless office workers that can't answer anything, terrible design and debris all over road and just as numerous other reviews say, low ball offers based on whatever they decide to consider your scrap, that are not even comparable to Tampa. PIM offered me 40c/lb by mislabeling the type, just left Tampa scrapyard at $1.10/lb, with most quoting me 80c/lb. Pretty scammy to offer more than 70% less than competition.

Took there top of the line stainless steel and they paid me 0.5 cents a pound. they graded it as "Sheet Iron"....go somewhere else instead. Don't waste your time here.
First-time ♻️ metal and found this place verses making a trip to the county dump. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Shout out to Ben, who guided me to where I needed to dump my steel? For a salvage yard it seemed well organized and clean even after several days of rain.
Avoid this yard if possible. They always find a way to cheat you out of a couple bucks. I turned in about 40 feet of coax cable and they wrote it up as 'sheet iron' and paid me .14 cents
Called to find out what tin prices were lady on phone didn't know what tin meant kept calling it scrap or steal there's different grades of metal an tin is the lowest if you're going to buy metal you need to know the terms of each thing
if you don't speak Spanish, they will rob you blind. The gentleman in charge of the scales has no concept that alum, used is this way, can only be this. I feel like the company did this on purpose, because, I was paid for low grade, but my bin was added to high grade. .30/ per pound difference. pay me the low price, but bill the high price. be aware for 'legal' scammers. PIM is now one, because they were bought by one of the biggest metal scammers in the world.
Best prices in town!! Always been honest with me. I brought in multiple thousands of pounds of 316SS and the yard has always paid more per pound than every other scrap y and within 100 miles!! You've earned my business.
First class customer service. I was a first timer and they gave me clear instructions. It was easy to drop off and felt good walking away with a little cash for recycling. Great team! Will definitely be going back and highly recommend!
Came here to get rid of some scrap metal and the employee in the field came up as I was preparing to unload an old stove and he yanked it out and caused it to pop up and slammed it into my tailgate leaving a dent and chipped paint. The people here seriously have no respect for others people property and based on the other reviews this is a common occurrence.
We were using them as a vendor at our business and they dropped us the first of the year with no reasoning other than they said ''they weren't making money." I offered to pay more but no return call back. I found another company within a day to drop a new dumpster and half the cost.....
"Pasco Iron and Metal" is a privately owned scrap yard. The staff has always been friendly, informative and well trained. They have handled large (several tons) and small (a few pounds) loads of scrap for me.
Their prices and competitive. The scrap yard is properly maintained and I have never had any tire damage. The crane operators are highly skilled and have always safely removed my scrap.
It can be intimidating going to a new facility. My first time there was a decade ago. The customer entrance is extremely wide. My first time, I pulled into the gate and parked to the side. The staff provided informative directions. Once, I learned the routine, the service provided has been flawless.
I recycled a washing machine today. Wayne and Alfonso were helpful in directing me to the right spot to unload the washing machine. Good first impressions. If you have sensitive ears like me, you might want to bring along a pair of ear plugs. There is noise from the machinery moving scrap metal around.
I go here all the time. Can't complain of any of my visits too them. Just really wish the prices per lbs. Of metal, aluminum,steel,wires, brass, copper ect. Would pay a bit more overall honesty. M L.
They obviously don't want my business. They stopped accepting my brass w/out a letter from my employer. So I brought the letter from my employer they requested. They said it's only a one time thing. They won't keep the letter on file and that I'll need a letter every time I recycle brass. Yeah my employer really wants to keep printing up letters for me. Now they've stopped separating my copper. EVERYTHING is #2 Now! I honestly should have just put everything back in my truck and left. I won't be going here anymore. I'll spend a few bucks on gas and drive to Tampa for more money before I go back here.
If you are attempting to actually make money on you metal do not go to this place they’re scammers. Understandable if you have a whole aluminum engine and they find one steel bolt in it they will call it mixed metal at least that’s what yards are supposed to do some may let you slide and help you out so you don’t take a major price drop. Not these people they don’t offer mixed metal pricing they call it shred appliances and rob you paying 4 cents a pound or they say 4.50 to make it sound better. I took 600 pounds of engines and engine heads all bmw parts so they were aluminum blocks and heads with a few bolts they called it shred appliance even though it was 99% aluminum so instead of making 100 plus I got 20 bucks then the aluminum pieces i took the time to strip the steel out of they called it cast aluminum which still should of been 30 cents plus a lb and paid me 7 cents so unless they’re close and you’re looking for a place to just dump your stuff and don’t care about getting paid then they’re great wasn’t that long a wait and people weren’t horrible but if you actually wanna get what your stuff is worth don’t go here especially if you’re not knowledgeable about scrapping they will rob you Blind. They’d let you throw platinum bars into the shred steeel pile If you don’t know any better. Businesses like this place not last in today’s tech age were people can easily see how scummy your practices are
Great scrap yard. Greg is awesome always helpful and extremely knowledgeable about different metals and he won't screw you over. The lady behind the counter is awesome always has a smile. Also the dude Adam is always fast to help you out.
if ou sa there not friendly you are locomy friend. great place goot prices and i sa that becuase there so friendl and good people. i had a blow out and a man stopped and offered to get me a tire off a truck he had at home just soi could get m truck home... go to the scrapyard a few weeks later and there he is in that hardhat and grey shirt. truly good people and good place overall.
Very friendly, always welcoming and helps us when we have to travel to St. Jude's in Tennessee. The scrap money helps pay our bills that have us so scared of losing everything we've worked so hard for! I highly recommend this place.
All the people commenting that the employees are not friendly must be some seriously nasty people. The 3 men I spoke with we're EXTREMELY friendly and polite!
Loaded dry van with Aluminum shaving. They sink into the floor and ruin the trailer wooden floors. Also somehow I end up with holes in my trailer walls.
Friendly staff. It pay$ to call ahead and ask about your items. Some things if you take a few screw out or separate certain types of metal you can get a better price. Clean copper is worth more than dirty copper. They can tell you over the phone about whatever it is your scrapping.
Great experience weigh in on the scale wait for thumbs up. Drive to the straight to the back wait one of the guys to assist you. Unload your scrap ,weigh out ( on the same scale ) go in get your ticket from Greg/person who scales you. Proceed to the window with ID then thumb print sign get your money and away you go. 10 min process.
I went to drop off an old BBQ grill, thinking it will be an easy drop off. I had to drive on a scale. Haul my own bbq grill out to the drop site, mind you it was just me. All the while I was given very poor instructions and had to go find someone and ask for help. Take note this was also my first time doing something like this, so I had no idea about the process. However, I expected a little bit more instructions and help to a first time customer. And I got a whooping $3.20 out of all that work. I get paid 10x that amt on my own job. Never again. Just my experience... Feel free to try it out yourself, but you been warned! ?
