Honestly Karl was fantastic. My car broke down on me in Boca Raton, lucky enough I was already near an auto-repair shop (Mazel Auto Repair) and the repair man Alex was nice enough to keep my car a few days to look at. After informing me its electrical issues and that I'll be spending more than the car is actually worth I decided to scrap it. I live 2 cities over which is about 25 minutes away. I shopped around for good junkyards looking for the highest bidder, but the reviews for Junkyard Dog blew me away. I called them up and spoke with Karl who was so informative and profession from the beginning of our interaction until the very end when he drove away with my baby. I had no way of meeting him until later in the afternoon to negotiate and get this? The man was nice enough to TOW MY CAR TO ME so that we can continue the negotiation process. Between the gentleman that answered my initial car and the younger guy picked up our Ford Focus, I will never recommend or use another tow/junk company. I had the best possible experience I could have had. Karl was very kind on the phone and the same in person. He made what was a difficult transaction for me very smooth and even easy. Any woman wanting to turn her car over to a salvage company needs to call Junk Yard Dog. What people don't understand is dealing with cars in any capacity....buying, repairs or salvaging.....can be difficult for women because of the treatment they experience from many companies. This is not the case with this company. Karl and one of his drivers i dealt with on the phone were very considerate and kept me posted on their whereabouts so I could go off and do something else while waiting. Junkyard Dog is by far the best salvage yard around. Karl is the nicest, kindness, most accommodating guy there is. He just now ( literally 15 minutes ago) handed my boyfriend a lot of cash for my 2002 Ford Explorer.... way more than I thought I’d get for an SUV with almost 300,000 miles on it!
