I should’ve read the reviews before coming here, things that happen to other people just happen to me I brought in a truck full of metal and parts on a trailer , before they picked up my truck, I washed how the guy use the computer and anytime they put something on a scale it would show up, but then when it came to my turn while I’m watching the computer, he tries to hand me a paper to fill in my details, luckily, I waited a minute, they drop my truck full of metal and parts onto the scale and nothing popped up on the computer and then I watched him type in a few numbers and then he was like that’s the weight. I was confused cause I was wondering how the weight could only be 2800 pounds. But then he goes to tell me there’s no motor and trans but the truck factory weight is 3800lbs let’s just say the motor and tranny weight 1000 for there sake! That’s 2800lbs , Plus all the metal and parts I had inside the cabin which actually Way more than a motor and tranny, I had three jeep full rear ends plus a lot more in the cabin! The funny part is they think it’s my first rodeo I’ve been doing this for years and this is the lowest weight and money I’ve received and they actually pay the most per pound. That tells you right there that’s why they pay more per pound cause they will create a weight for you! Never coming back
I am writing to express my concern about a recent incident I experienced at the scrap yard, I’ve been coming to this scrap yard for more then 4 years and never have had an issue but today was very upsetting to have experienced a horrible experience with the new scale guy. He came up to me screaming and yelling just because I was cleaning a couple chairs, saying I wasn’t allowed to do any type of cleaning or breaking down my scrap when there was a guy next to me taking off tires and nothing was said to him. The scale guy told us to leave if we didn’t like it and that they have the right to treat any customers how they please. Which I have noticed that there is favoritism, We have been a devoted customer for many years and that’s how there going to treat us is upsetting.
Ive been to a few scrap yards in my area and by far the coustomer service here has been the best they are very helpfull to those of us who are new to scraping
This is the best scrap yard in west Palm Beach! The employees are nice and patient !! They have the best prices in Palm beach! They are very understanding. If you are a first time scrapper you should swing by here !

The best Scrap metal yard !! They are fast and honest!! Everyone is friendly and helpful. They also have the BEST PRICES!!! They are not like other yards that are rude and nasty!
First time recycling metal, Gave these people 25 lbs of metal, and they only paid me for 0.073 lbs worth $2.00 found out when I got home and looked at the reciept. I thought there was a crazy depreciation on metal, turns out these people are thieves.
EDIT: ok so they heard my complaint and actually got it set up that that will never happen again and gave me some shirts. So I wanted to fix my review because other than that we love this place and the people. Never have a problem there and although they are small, they are extremely efficient and apparently read google!! lol that’s awesome they heard my complaint and actually took action. We come from out west to come here specifically.. EDITED: I would absolutely love to give a better review. But, today’s experience was absolutely awful. We got there 20 till closing, but because of waiting we didn’t finish unloading and they didnt weigh us out untill a few min after 4. But the lady working the cashier apparently leaves exactly at 4, no matter if there’s people there and because of that they wouldn’t cash us out. So they let us start unloading without telling us we would not be able to cash out. I live 20 miles from this place and choose to come here because I liked the place. But after this waste of my time and money I don’t know. There is no where in the place that states they won’t cash you out after 4. Even at 4:02. Never had I seen or worked at a place that I could leave on the dot while there’s still customers and people working. This completely changed how I felt about this place.
This is a great place ,great people only one thing they should change,if it's closing time and you are still inside waiting they should finish you up not give you a ticket for your cash the next day ,if they fix that issue ,they are 100 all the way and the new owners is awesome great job everyone
My first time there, so didn't know the routine. But not too happy with my experience. The person running the scale didn't speak English so couldn't answer any of my questions about weight or rate of payment. Meanwhile, other workers kept me busy writing ID information about myself and my car, so I couldn't watch the digital readout for the scale as my stuff was weighed. With so many recycling yards around, definitely will try another one the next time.
Just a heads up to get a price 1st as they are not always consistent - even though I bring out the "exact" same material out for electronics green board. I have receipts from the past showing 50Cents and I assumed that same rate and not the 8 cents. If I even go there anymore in the future, I will get a price 1st, this way I can atleast argue with them before they shaft me.
This is the best scrap yard in palm beach county hands down. They will help u separate your metals so you get the best price and tell you how to clean your stuff to get the best price for it. There was an old review on here and it was from my baby mama who was just trying to mess my life up. If you’re looking to sell your scrap you can’t go wrong with We By Scrap I lived in Palm Beach County my whole life and they are definitely the best Scrap Yard I’ve been to.
Place that looks out for you. If it your first time there and know nothing about what you coming to selling theyll put you on beat and help you sort them out correctly
I showed up at 3:33 to find the gates closed. Its posted they're open till 4. The man inside said they close at 330 on Saturdays. But as I sit here, I'm watching them let a regular come in. I'd advise everyone to choose a different location. If they're willing to turn 1 away because you've never been before and take another who has, that's pure BAD BUSINESS. PERIOD!!!!!
Worst experience ever! Do not go here they rip you off and do not care at all!!! Had my guy friend rent a truck to drop 1800 pounds of aluminum shutters which they paid 3 cents a pound for got $52!!!! Lost money on truck rental! They paid steel prices and when I called to say those were aluminum they have given me the run around for four days about having time to tend to my situation to go out and look at them. Worst rip off and terrible customer service
The staff is very nice and helpful. Very easy to drop off metal and get paid in cash. Took maybe 20 minutes total and I got more then I thought I would get for my patio enclosure metal. Plus they open later then any other scrap yard. Easy to find. Will them for now on.
