Well, I gave this place another try.Unfortunately, they still haven't corrected their problems way too long of a wait zero communication.I called ahead of time told customer rep.On phone I have trailer with excess of thousand pounds of aluminum.Would somebody be able to help me unload with machine said yes, when I get there?After waiting forty five minutes in line told me to unload entire trailer by hand I left
I brought 30Lb light metal, three people were were ahead of me in the line, but I waited over an hour under the sun, everyone worked slowly. Finally they counted $1, but I did not get it, because to print receipt for $1, its take cost $5. They cheated me with money. Just wasted time. I don't recommend this place.
I had to send my wife while I was at work in Davie every scrap yard is close except for them. She had both kids and parked up front they wanted her to move because the lines were long. When she told them she couldn’t because the kids they moved her to the front of the line and got her done extremely fast. They also paid .28 cents more per pound on number one copper. Thank you for making this a great experience for her she has only been to one other scrap yard ever. I’m very thankful for you guys
Actually, kind of sad. Walk ins over power scale no 1st come 1st served services. Was a competitive option somewhat close by..Now They change management to Spanish new employees that are slow and not helpful do it yourself yard or communicating only in Spanish. All prices paid have gone down while others go up, They dont want steel as told not a steel yard go elsewhere .02 cents lb. ?? Even helpers at yard unloading services out the window so they can talk and watch you. No eyes backing in next customers efficiently to unload next in line. I stop going here years ago. Will never return

Absolutely terrible experience twice! The first time I’m pretty sure they stole from me, and this second time I only went because they where open and they shuffled me from line to line for an hr and taking people who walked in behind me with the same metal as I. Absolutely don’t use and if I could I would have given zero stars.
Always fast and on point. If you have scrap, these are the people to work with. Those of you who think you got ripped off, the price always fluctuates so before bashing, check the price on your metal before scrapping.

They take forever because walk ups are allowed so your in line waiting, while people are walking up infront of you getting helped
. To the owner have your employees keep the vehicles in line or it ruins your whole process had to leave after 1hr and 30min can't wait all day.
Went to this place for the convenience off the highway thinking it would be great because of the reviews in stars. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Had 3238 pounds of steel and only got $145. Myself and a ton of people I know scrap metal all the time. I will definitely spread the word to NEVER go to this place and tell them to also spread the word. Going to try to right this wrong tomorrow but I’m not holding my breath for them to step up and make this right.
Pretty much robbed me, DONT GO HERE! I brought well over 1000 pounds of metals and the receipt (which they weigh in ounces so you have to do the math to find out how bad they skimped you) equaled right about 250 pounds!!! I had wayyy over that in steel. They weigh and take it away so you can’t even take it back! Told me one price, then gave me way less then what they told me. Robbed me for well over 500$ in clean aluminum and insulated copper….
I sat in line since 12:30 Finally being the last for car sitting there at 2:20 the guy walked up to me and said no we’re closing soon we won’t take you this place has disgusting business and work ethic I will be sure to let everyone know how they run things
This place is the best place to get cash for your scrap... My husband and I go here all the time when we need a dime . But seriously this place is busy for sure, but they are great people... They pay you top dollar for your scrap.. I would definitely recommend Capital Scrap to everyone looking for a place to cash in at...
Do judge it by appearance. The staff is good at what they do. Their courteous and quick. The area is tight and bustling, so pay attention. Prices are the best around. Highly recommended.
We have actually been using Capital Scrap Metal for a few years, and figured it was time to write a review for them. Capital Scrap has been truly fantastic, they come to us, their pricing is more than fair, they mail a check once all scrap has been accounted for, and Diego C. conducted himself professionally, he even helped clean our shop after the removal. We’ve had Diego visit us here at the Johnstone Supply branch in West Palm Beach. Very nice person and a diligent worker. We will continue to use Capital Scrap.
The guy in the yard was helpful and I actually got more than I thought I would, however when I was getting paid they didn't give me my coins because they said the change machine was broken so I guess they just kept it. That feels like a scam to me.
Otherwise I would have given 5 stars
Was at the wpb location today and had many different verity of metals and walked out of there with less then 20 dollars went back to the guy who was weighing and I told him that my ticket was wrong and he told me to be quite and took my ticket and changed the amount by a few dollars I reviewed my ticket later and seen that alit of my stuff was not even on ticket so there for I got robbed by and employee and and was gonna ask for my stuff back and it vanished right along with the buckets and milk crates I carried in there
I put hundreds of good reviews in on places but now I'm winding up doing two in a row bad. Don't go to Capital Scrap Metal. Advertised copper prices for the type of wire I brought in are well over a dollar and they paid me $0.65 on the pound. No one there could speak English with enough skill to even discuss the pricing with, and once I tossed my metal up there it was gone. So I was left to take the price they gave me. I wonder now what kind of pricing ripoff they gave me on the other loads I brought here in the past.
The owner wrote me back and said this was a lightweight extension cord and they never pay very much for that. This is 2 AWG wire. 150 amp service wire. Look at the pictures. To reiterate, I'm not an electrician , but I worked at home depot for 4 years in the the electrical department. It had tinned connectors on the end of the copper wire, which the guy bent back to see that it was bare copper. I sent pics but obviously the owner never looked at the pictures I sent or looked at the wire.
I was upset that I could not find anyone to discuss this with on site; the guy who was receiving the wire was busy, and the cashier said her manager was not there. I gave the owner a chance to make it right, but he hasn't responded back yet so I'm amending this review to reflect his actions, or lack thereof, and his comments.

This was my first time visit and even know everyone there was very helpful instructed me what the procedure was! It didn't take long before knowing how to start ! Justed watched other customers and followed.. Great setup that this location!..
I just went there today and I went the other day the other day was fine I feel as though I had gotten more money than I did this time around I am not happy with the pricing that I received when I go on minus as that metal prices are $115 for when I went there the prices were $70 doesn't will not be going to back down location I'm going to stick with the deerfoot location
Good hard working guys that work here.. They even sort out your metal for you so you can get the most for your load.. I'd recommend capital over the rest
Best scrap yard I been to. Guys really kno how to hustle to get you in & outta there. No wasting time . Always hard at work & cleaning up so next person can be takin Care of quickly & efficiently. Usually leave with more cash than expect. That's always a plus
They rob me blind, i brought almost 400 pounds n they only pay me for 200, WATCH THEM because they guy with the forklift holds the weight and doesn't let it drop completely on the scale. A bunch of scumbags
Dropped off some aluminum today, very professional and respectful in the yard. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is due to the fact that the speaker system at the cashiers window, was very loud and I was not able to understand the lady who sounded like she was screaming at me. Update that speaker system and then I'll give you 5 stars. I'm sure others will appreciate it.
When I was in my summer home in Florida I had some scrap metal that I wanted to sell that I got from the junkyard for bringing in my old car.
