Bearded guy with glasses extremely rude, smiled every time he told me he couldn’t help me get my truck and it would be another 30$ per day. First they close at 5 not 6, so don’t get there at 4:30 it just pisses him off. The lady in the office when I came back was friendly and no issues. The situation as a whole was messed up and not all their fault, but get somebody else to help you cause the bearded dude just wants to go home and will laugh at you as you scramble trying to simply pay for your car and resolve the situation. Bring cash as well.

Great family owned company, always responsive and fair. They have always been there to help in stressful circumstances revolving mechanical issues. We would never using anyone else for our towing needs.
Terrible and RUDE. Rude, rude, rude. They don’t answer questions and keep your car hostage even when you have all the legal documents just so they can charge you more. The woman we spoke to on the phone was completely awful — I don’t like giving bad reviews but this place is clearly here to scam you whenever possible. According to other reviews here it seems like my experience is very common. Being towed is a hard thing to deal with— why twist the knife more

Illegal practices, i don't know how they still stay in practice. Office hours do not match Florida law requirements ( must be open till 6 pm), refused to release information required by law.
Edited: the fact that the business has to lie about booting or warnings only proves my point. None would park car in the same area after warnings or incidents. Everyone who has been affected please contact me to join the effort for legal action.
this is a great place. They’re super helpful and went above and beyond out of their way to help me with my car. They even helped me out when I had a difficult time getting my windshield fixed. I highly recommend this place, extremely professional and friendly.
I was in a very bad motorcycle accident. City towing was the tow company that towed my motorcycle. I went to trauma that night and I was unable to walk and was unconscious for 24 hrs. When I finally came to, I called city towing and told them I’m unable to walk and I will be in the hospital for 3-4 weeks learning how to walk again is there any way you can work with me or can I have someone else pick up the motorcycle. The lady on the phone was very rude and heartless towards my situation and said “no we can’t WORK with you and only you can pick up the vehicle. So as of right now my bill is over $1000 and I’m still in the hospital. They have already sent a paper stating if I don’t pick it up my motorcycle it will be auctioned off. I understand rules are rules, but a company should have enough moral values to understand situations like mine. There is literally nothing I can do. I don’t know how people like this sleep at night. And yes this is the right city towing.
Update 2024: had to get another car towed. Quick and easy process. They were responsive and Abby let me know everything I needed to bring with me and explained the process to me.
I needed a tow when my car broke town. They were very courteous and professional over the phone. They came out quickly and handled my car with car. Will definitely use them again if my car ever breaks down!
If I could I would give negative stars! The lady was very rude and was eavesdropping while I was on the phone with my husband and then made a rude comment to me which was totally unprofessional and uncalled for I do not suggest going there for any reason
Wanna know how terrible the service was here….. They will Tow your car even if you are outside in front of it. They will call the police on you and make you feel like a stranger to your own possessions. There's more!!! If you don't document everything they say. They will up charge you for storage and whatever else they can think of. If they take your car call a lawyer immediately, they've gone bankrupt before for this kind of service
Call absolutely ANY OTHER towing company besides this one. I called for a lockout and Carly, whoever the receptionist is, is incredibly RUDE and called me “stupid for not answering the phone” when my phone was locked in my car and I told them to call me at my work phone (which seemed to be such a difficult task for the team). Marvin, the driver, also rude. Refused to meet me at my locked car and tried to get me to sign papers before he even saw my car or even do any service. Overall really unprofessional and hope to save anyone from wasting their time or their money with this location.
Useless! Had to use them as Triple A requested them and let me tell you the job did not get done, and took them 2 days to figure that out. Finally had to call other tow company to come get my car and took them 5 minutes .
Wish there were zero stars, quotes an hour, waited, then moved another 48 minutes, then moved another 20. When I called to try and get a real time line the worker was beyond rude and cancelled the tow just because she wouldn't guarantee the arrival time. Not being respectful of other people's time is complete incompetence. Missed my daughter's first volleyball game and wasted two hours if this business had only been HONEST from the start. I could have made other arrangements. NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, NOT HONEST ABOUT ARRIVAL TIMES. You'll be waiting forever and BY ALL MEANS DON'T QUESTION THE LADY ON THE PHONE. SHE WILL CANCEL YOUR TOW and make you wait longer.
The owner Charlie was very friendly & helpful! He went out of his way to help me with my vehicle and relieving my stress. Hope I don’t need another tow anytime soon but if I did I would definitely recommend this company! ⭐
I sincerely wish that I could give negative stars to this horrible company, these people pray on accident victims I wanted to call AAA to have my car towed after an accident they swooped in like a phantom and hooked it up and took it to their yard without even giving me the chance to call my tow truck then proceed to charge me and outrageous hook up fee and then nail me every single day for storage for being in there I believe they are working with the police in order to both screw people or steal their automobiles because people in accidents can't afford to pay their outrageous money if you see them make sure you have your vehicle in sight or it will be gone. Also just to add to this review the lady that answers the phone has to be the rudest nastiest shortcut person I have ever dealt with in my life if you don't like your job or your life just find a nice Corner focus on death and wait for it anyone who acts like that you might as well just end it all. So rude so unprofessional so nasty what a horrible human being she is !!!!!

Today October 3, 2022 my car wouldn't start and I called my insurance company and they called this towing company and after three hours they still had not showed up, several attempts to call them was either met with a voice message system or the calls were either disconnected or they simply hung up but after 4 to 5 disconnections after finally getting someone on the phone it was obvious they were hanging up on me. I repeatedly called my insurance company to see if they can give me some idea as to when they would be showing up and they also tried calling them and I insisted on waiting on the line while they tried to call and the operator came back and said she also had been put on hold and then disconnected from the call so like I said after 3 plus hours they went on and cancelled this towing company and sent out another company who talked to me on the phone and told me how long it would take them to get to me and my handicapped, elderly mother who was with and they kept their word and arrived in 45 minutes, gave me a jump and my car started and I was able to drive to my dealer to have it checked out for anything other than the battery, but it turned out to be just what the new towing company said it was which was the battery and I am so grateful to that company for rescuing me and my poor mother, I would not use this company they never even made contact with me throughout the entire ordeal the new company kept texting me letting me know their ETA. Reminder: this is the company that my auto insurance company set up, NOT ME.
These people were the kindest ever when we went to sign over a totaled car to the insurance company, The woman at the window was patient with us and explained the procedure. The man in the yard helped us empty the car contents and carried the big full box to our waiting vehicle. This was an A-1 experience. Thank you very much.
The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful, I couldn't even be mad at the situation. She gave us options for my belongings, and suggestions on where to go, as They only take Cash. So that might upset people but I doubt its her policy. Might also be standard for tow yards, idk. She said we could get it towed and explained that insurance would reimburse us which we didn't know and she didn't have to say, as it doesn't help her any. Literally if im gonna get Towed, I hope it's there Every time. Ha
My community was in the process of removing a tree and my vehicle was parked in the closest spot next to the tree. The community manager attempted to reach me via email and went to my apartment. I wasn't contacted by phone. I was away attending to the details surrounding 3 deaths in my family, one of them due to COVID. At any rate, my vehicle was towed. When I contacted Big City Towing, I was advised the vehicle would be onsite until July 15, at which time it would be put up for auction. The vehicle was towed sometime in June. I had many expenses related to the loss of my family members. I simply could not pay more to pick up my vehicle. I advised Big City that I would not be able to pay to get my vehicle out. Since this was a second vehicle, quite old, and used for recreation, I decided to let it go to auction and pay the remaining fees when charged. Fast forward, today in my mail, I received notice from the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles stating that since I no longer had insurance on that vehicle, my license is scheduled to be suspended effective 8/19, 10 days from today. FLHSMV is requesting a response from me which I have no problem providing. Once the vehicle was scheduled for auction, I cancelled insurance to not have to pay since I no longer hold title to the vehicle which brings me to my problem with Big City Towing. I called them to get the date my vehicle was towed. The person who answered the phone seemed irritated that I called, was very short with me, and told me that she could not provide me with the date the vehicle was towed because the information was not readily available. I let her know I understood and would be happy to wait on hold. I let her know I needed the information to pass it onto the Motor Vehicles department in Tallahassee to prevent my license from being cancelled. Again, she reiterated that she couldn't do that because it was a Monday and didn't have the information readily available. If I wanted documentation, I would have to pay for it. I didn't want documentation, I simply needed the date of towing. I asked for the owner of the company and she stated that she was the owner, wished me a good day, and hung up on me. I called back and told her I would call again until I was able to get the date of pick up. She then threatened to report me to collections without cause since the account doesn't even have charges on it as of yet. She also told me I could pay now for whatever charges incurred thus far and she would provide me with a receipt that I could send motor vehicles. Apparently, whether its sold or destroyed, if there is a balance, the owner has to pay. I understood that; however, we haven't reached that point yet she made the "collections" threat. My point: she had time to collect payment and provide me with receipt yet she didn't have time to simply give me a date of pick up. I will send my letter to Tallahassee without complete information. This person, whom I didn't get her name but stated she is owner of Big City was only interested in assisting me if I had money to give her; otherwise, she had no time. Aside from the poor customer service, her greed and lack of compassion, especially during these trying times, coming from an owner of a company, is astounding. We're living in very challenging times with many experiencing financial hardships due to many different reasons. Having a vehicle towed was stressful enough. One would think the owner of the company would know how to deal and manage the public with some heart. By the way, I am a licensed Community Association Manager. In other words, I am one of a very large network of property managers who utilize towing companies. Big City Towing is on my DNU (DO NOT USE) LIST and every LCAM in South Florida who asks will know about this company and its heartless owner.
People, let's help and lift each other as much as we can. One never knows what's going on in someone else's life especially when it comes to loss of life and its related hardships.
Absolutely unreliable. I have been waiting 5 hours for tow assist n keep getting told "an hour" last call they hung up on me. Clearly they pick n choose assignments. Just imagine if i was a single female in disabled car in unknown neighborhood for this long. Your safety or well being are definitivly not a concern or priority of theirs
During a difficult time City Towing came through and assisted me. The women at the desk and owner had a heart and made some exceptions and due to unforseen issues waived 2 days worth of storage fees. Eric (One of the drivers) was also phenomenal and instrumental in providing further assistance when AAA failed.
Normally I don’t ever post reviews for businesses, but I had to make an exception for this one. Out of all the bad reviews I’ve seen for this company, most have one thing in common. That being the receptionist. She truly did have a horrible attitude and genuinely did not care about the costumer even if that customer was one that was attempting to get a car that was towed without me knowing. Although it was an inconvenience I was not upset enough to berate the receptionist when finding out the information from the receptionist. And if they recorded the phone calls, that would prove my point. From the very start I was spoken to in an
unprofessional manner, and before I could have any closure with the answers I was given or ask another even if it was going to be the same response, I was hung up on, and the last time was even threatened to be charged an extra fee if I called about the issue again trying to work it out. If i were in the wrong that’s fine, but at least give me the same respect that was given. I’m sure their actual service is exceptional but again I believe they need to really review their receptionist costumer service ethics.
Bunch of crooks . I told them and the store my car was at I had another tow company coming to pick it up and take it to the shop and they towed it regardless a half hour before camel towing was about to arrive . Had to give them 123$ for a 3 block tow before they would release my car to camel towing who was only charging me 65$ to bring it to the shop. This was very inconsiderate and not cool. Hope they are happy with the 123$ when I did not want them touching my car. I would never reccomend them to anyone with their steep price let alone taking my car when I contracted another company.
Customer service lady was great and driver was very proffesional. Even though i called 5 times to see when my truck was arriving customer services was still very polite,patient with me and accommodating.
The office dont open at 8am so dont be fooled by false advertised opening hours. I Got to the Lakeworth lot at 8.15 and had to call for them to tell me someone will be there soon, 20 minutes later they called back saying my car is not there while I was standing on the outside looking at my car, still no one came, then another 10 minutes another phone call asking me to again state my plate number, finally a 3rd call saying my car us worthless and u gave to pay $$$ to even be allowed to take the plates off, this is after my husband tried to go there twice within a week if them having the car and he was told he can't because it's not registered to him. Finally about an hr later the lady on the phone to me to wait a few more minutes someone will show up shortly and abruptly hang up on me. Not to mention her rude offensive tone. Wasted an hr to be rudely dismissed and disrespected.
This tow company towed my car Saturday. I was devastated historical angry not with them but with my hubby. The tow guy told me I needed a power of attorney letter and a hold harmless agreement signed because the car is in my sister's name plus a copy of her ID. We called this guy over and over just the make sure we had the right name of the paper work and he answered everytime. I know we annoyed him I could hear it in is voice but he answered. I took care of everything drove alot of hours to meet my sister and got it all completed and notarized both documents. On Monday exhausted I called bright and early too early and got the answering service which was so nice and later when they opened I got Amber and she told me it would cost me $255.00 to get the car back as long as I had all my documents. I called her back to let her know I am a little anxious so if I am upset when I get there please for give me in advance she was over me in five seconds short but it's a tow company I am sure they hear alot of crap and they don't make money from being sympathetic. Lol it's true. Anyway finally got there money in hand and dam it no amber just a tow guy looking over my paperwork. The front desk girls finally came they are not the most talkative but they were good. And I paid $229.00 to get it out. So it was less than I was told I got my car back learn a valuable lesson and they really did not make it difficult as long as they have there stuff covered they good. One suggestion it would of made my life so much easier if they had the required paper work on there website or make it available with there tow guys. For people in my situation. Other than that they are really nice people working there just know it's not personal just business. Thank you city tow for my car back.
This morning the manager told me the price for the evacuation of my car $ 75 but when we arrived at the place and we had to unload the car driver said that the price is now $ 95, but it does not matter. After my question about why he has increased the cost like crazy and was going to go to my car to the office. I had to block his path a. It was something I did not yet met. Very bad company and aggressive drivers. It do not advise.
