These people are the absolute best of the best. Extremely professional and highly knowledgeable. It just doesn’t get any better. If you have a problem, these are the guys to call.
I am writing to express my disappointment with a phone call to Poseidon Marine Towing Corp.
When I called, the man who answered the phone was extremely rude and quickly began raising his voice at me. I was taken aback, as I had not been disrespectful or confrontational in any way. There was no reason for the conversation to escalate the way it did.
I am still unsure why this interaction turned hostile, but it was genuinely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. A company in the marine towing and emergency services industry should understand the importance of professionalism, patience, and respect when speaking with customers.
Based on this interaction alone, I would not feel comfortable relying on this company in a situation where help is actually needed.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how customers are treated over the phone.
We had a dead battery at 3:20am on the inside of Tavernier. Carlos was right on it and got to us 20min later. Upon arrival, he handed us the jumper pack and we were on our way. The whole experience couldn’t have been better. Thank you, Carlos. We will never forget how you literally saved the night.
The service provided by Nelson and Ilene is the best I called them, and 15 minutes later the tow boat came to us to help.
Great people I really recommend working with them.

Any day on the water is great day, right? Carlos of TowBoat US Islamorada made it even better!!
We had troubles coming up from Marathon so we anchored out. The next morning we also started taking on water.
Carlos was there in an hour and got my friend’s beautiful 48’ CHB to Mangrove Marina and literally reversed her and tucked her perfectly into a slip. What a blessing!
It was a gift to see his team mate pull up on the other boat and hand him a cold soda. That shows quality right there.
The icing on the cake is, even though I’ve been yelled at by many a captain, dude at the dock, or even at the boat ramp — that didn’t happen this time!
Carlos showed the utmost respect while I maneuvered lines and took instruction from both him and the captain. When I had a question or something to confirm, his answers were patient and kind.
It’s not every day a woman is treated with such respect on the water. If I ever need help again, TowBoat will be the first call I make!
We needed help with a soft grounding and called the 800 and got nothing but confusion so we called on the VHF and got a hold of Ilene she started a captain out for us right away, then straightened out the confusion with corporate. By the time we got off the phone with corporate, Nelson our captain, had us up and running again. I definitely give Ilean and Nelson 5 stars!!!! They are awesome at what they do and absolutely saved our day. Thank you so much for not only the speedy recovery, but the friendly conversation as well. 10/10
It was a beautiful day in Islamorada, and my family and I were enjoying an outing on our 23-foot boat, heading out to the sandbar.
Unfortunately, after hours of being out there, we ran into trouble and found ourselves grounded at the sandbar.
Thankfully we have a Towboat U.S membership.
From the moment we called llene answered the phone and assisted us by getting a Towboat dispatched to our location as quickly as possible.
Captain Nelson showed up and came to the rescue. He displayed great skill while carefully navigating our boat out from the sandbar without causing any damage to the haul.
The entire process was smooth, and we felt at ease knowing we were in good hands.
TowboatU.S. Islamorada made a rather stressful situation much less frustrating.
I highly recommend them if you find yourself in an unforseen situation. Any boater who is in need of reliable, fast assistance while out on the water should have a Towboat US membership!
My family and I were out on the water in Islamorada when our jet skis stopped working, we got lucky to come across Ilene and her husband who helped us out tremendously in a time of need. They literally went above and beyond to help us and get us to shore safely! I recommend Towboat US over Seatow any day!!!

Captain Nelson saved our cookies today. Skiff lost power in the Everglades and they were there within the hour. Dispatch stayed on the phone with us and made sure we were good until Captain showed up. We are lifetime members now! Nothing like having someone there to assist quickly when you need it most!
What excellent service and teamwork. Today, I had the unfortunate need to have my boat towed. I contacted Ilene at TowBoat US Islamorada. Before I could hang up the phone she had Captain Nelson dispatched and on his way from Islamorada to Key Largo to rescue us. Captain Nelson was professional, humble and expert in his control of his vessel and the vessel in tow. Without incident he brought us home and docked my boat perfectly… on the first try!! Thank you for your excellent and speedy service.
Our boat had engine trouble and grounded on a sandbar during a bad storm….professional and fast! TY!! Motors started working and was able to make it on our own & Capt told us to call for a partial refund ! Refund by the time we were back at Marina! Ty to all Captain & crew!! Blessed!!
I have known Captain Carlos Galindo for many years. He has always been a standup guy and anytime I or anyone needed assistance when he was around... he has helped out. When I had my first boat back in the early 2000’s, I was a boating rookie. After a long day at the sandbar, I unable to get the boat started to leave. Carlos hopped on the boat, identified the problem and got me on my way. Most recently in Islamorada after getting my Jet Ski serviced at Riva Key Largo.. my Jet Ski began to sink. Carlos was at the White Marlin Beach sandbar and saw that I was having problems. He came with his boat and bilge pump and began to pump the water from the ski. He then towed me to my dock around the corner bilge pump running the whole way. Without him there that day.. I would have definitely lost the Jet Ski. THANK YOU Carlos for always coming through.
Neil was great!! We broke down at Island Grill and he can over and picked up up and towed us all the way back to Long Key!! Thank you Tow Boat! Love this service, can’t beat the price when you have a membership!!

They responded with such swiftness that I have not experienced elsewhere. It was a large payload (38’ Cruiser) and it was perfectly handled without a single scratch.
Ran out of fuel on our way back in from fishing, called for help and they showed up in no time with 20 gallons of fuel. Hooked up to my bow and started towing us towards home as I filled up the boat with the fuel they provided. Once I was filled up and got the boat running they disconnected and followed me into port just to make sure it was indeed a fuel issue and nothing else. 5 star service
Very professional. We have needed their towing service twice over our years of membership with Tow Boat Islamorada. Let me tell you, in both cases we were very happy to see them!

I would recommend tow boat us over any other service! Carlos and Eileen ACTUALLY care about their customers. I didn’t even have a membership and they arrived within 25 mins! Do not choose seatow over them! Sea tow is way over priced & do not care if your boat is sinking. Eileen and Carlos truly provide you with excellent service & treat you as close friends or family. As soon as Eileen and Carlos arrived they rushed to save our boat and cared as if it was their own. They’re awesome!! I can’t thank you guys enough!!!
Shout out to the boat USA captain who saved my butt last night. I lost my anchor and was adrift in those riduclous winds at 3am. He got there quick, hooked me up, got me under control and helped me tie up safely. I went from being in a serious predicament to safe because of that man. He knew his stuff. Islamarada is lucky to have him watching out for everyone. Can't say enough good things. Thank you I'm sorry I don't know his name .
