Got my car towed called the number that was on the sign you’d think I stole that man’s car how unprofessional and rude he was over the phone I’ve worked years in customer service and that man had no type of customer service let’s not mention they advertise as 24 hours you’d think over the phone he would’ve let me know the pick up cut off time no so when I got there I’m in the office and realized I forgot my keys I politely asked him would it be fine if I paid for my car and came back because I left my keys him and another gentleman made it such a big thing when they are literally advertised as 24 hours I would’ve been fine if he politely and professionally told me no but the attitude and force he gave about it was disgusting as a young black women standing in front of two white men who are obviously very unprofessional the smartest thing I did was left I came back the next morning to pick up my car and the two men weren’t there thank God it was a lady in the office and she was honestly so sweet so understanding so professional and it literally took me 5 minutes to get my car it took 5 minutes to sign one paper I gave her cash she opened the gate and that was it the way them gentleman acted you’d think the whole process took 45 minutes it was literally a quick interaction they honestly need new staff other than the lady in the office who was the only one with customer service I was never rude never nasty to either gentlemen I had the money I parked in a tow away zone which was my mistake not theirs so I was not upset about being towed I was upset about their lack in customer service
They are untrustworthy! Literally just ride around looking to tow people cars. I was in a union meeting at the park avenue post office left my badge in the dashboard they still towed my vehicle then going to lie and say it wasn’t in the dashboard
Ability and driver Justin were at my location of breakdown exactly to the second on when the wrecker would arrive. Justin was friendly and experienced which made him an absolute pleasure to work with. If the need arises again that I need a tow, Ability will be the 1st call. 10 ATA BOYS for Justin and the great service by Ability.

i'm pretty sure NOONE wants to have to call a tow truck, BUT w/ Ability Towing this is what you'll get. A team that is fully capable of handling your disabled vehicle needs. Today Tommy was my Driver & he was Great! he arrived 30-40 mins after my call in (& possibly could have been earlier as i missed his 1st call!). He explained everything in clear to understand terms. ensured my vehicle was secured & transported me to a repair shop where i was able to get my vehicle back into normal operations! On days like today (chaos for me) when my vehicle REFUSES to work w/ me but rather makes all efforts to work AGAINST ME. i found a silver lining w/ Tommy & Ability Towing! They do a job that is Necessary, yet how often do we stop to think of all the HARD work that is necessary when dealing w/ disabled vehicles of ALL SIZES! Having a Professional Team Member like Tommy arrive & know he has the skills to handle the task at hand is one challenge i didn't have to worry about. Thank you!! keep up the Great Work Ability Towing!! for those reading this. Give Ability Towing a call next time you need towing services!! =)
p.s. i reserve 5-star ratings to only companies i have personally had business with. to get a 5-star rating said company has to perform their responsibilities as advertised. I don’t understand the bad reviews. I had a great experience with ability. I called at night got a great price. Quick response. I believe the gentleman that helped name was Tommy! Very nice and professional. I would definitely use ability if I need another tow! Great prices! Great customer service!
They are very rude. Towed my car from job, I had to get off of work only to get a ride there, Noone was there, when they finally got there,.the manager was very rude. I felt so threatened as a black female in there. I tried to call the police he wanted me to leave and all I wanted was my car. I tried to record, so when make my report I have evidence he proceeded to tell me it's private property. I couldn't help but to think if I had been white I would have been treated different. I would never recommend this company. Go to Jim Patton or anywhere else
My car was towed by the police because it broke down in the road. Web site says its open 24hrs however that's not true. I have gone by to sign proper documents to have the vehicle released to my insurance company so that it can be repaired but no one has been there. I've called multiple times only to find out that the business phone has been transferred to a personal cell phone and I was blocked. I had to call by blocking my number to get an answer only to be told the office isn't open today even though the web site says it is.. I have never heard of a tow truck company being closed!!
This company... they were contracted out by roadside because my cars fuel module died while the car was in my garage. They certainly towed it out but caused so much unnecessary damage to my vehicle while doing so.
The driver was originally told that the car was all wheel drive and it is not to be dragged out by the back end. He did try to put my car in neutral, I'll give him that. But when it didn't work out he became frustrated and seems like he decided he was just going to get my car out any way he could. Completely ignoring what he was told and the owners manual.
He attached the tow hooks to what he thought were the tow eyes and when it snapped he said it was his equipment getting into place. Unfortunately, it was not. The snapping sound was the underside of my car being torn apart. He then attached the tow hooks to the rear axle possibly causing damage to that as well. Because he dragged it from behind he scratched my front and rear bumpers, real and deep scratches that require bumper replacements. Additionally, he dragged my car causing tire marks and possibly causing damage to all of my tires.
My father-in-law called and while he was a bit aggressive, the owner on the other end of the line was super unprofessional, didn't listen, gaslit my father-in-law (who has worked with cars for a decent portion of his life and knows what he's talking about), and after 2 minutes hung up on my father-in-law.
I absolutely would not recommend them and would recommend any dealership or roadside company to do their research on towing companies and maybe not contract one that has a 3.1 star rating.
Amazing!!! They had the most affordable towing BY A MILE and were super quick, friendly, and professional. Hopefully I won't need towing again anytime soon but if I do I'll be calling them.

The low rating makes sense. Called tonight to get an estimate and set up an AM pick. Was told, "You don't call to get an estimate at night". Not sure what kind of business doesn't want business. On the plus side, pretty sure I've never had a more unprofessional exchange with someone at business. So, thank you? Feels like I dodged a bullet by not working with this company.

Ability towing was the worst experience I ever had. They told me they would arrive in 1 hour to tow my car to a mechanic. I ended up waiting 3 hours, only to be told they forgot about me and wouldn’t help me in any way to come back and get my car same day.
Worked well with my insurance company. Staff was friendly and courteous. I’m currently awaiting shipping of my personal belongings from the vehicle that was totaled. They are working well with my insurance company to get those belongings shipped to my home. Very satisfied with them. I’d recommend him to anyone without hesitation.
Very rude. My daughter and her boyfriend went to a football game ,got their car towed and the individual answering the phone was very rude and condescending to me and both of them. Had no problem being rude to two minors and an adult. Disgusting management.
They tolde it would cost 105 dollars but then charged me 125 dollars. Tried to pay cash but driver had no change for a 20 dollar bill. They were pretty quick but I had to help the tow truck driver get my spare off. Joining triple aaa to make sure I don't get ripped off again.
Ability towing was professional and helpful. They took care of my daughter and her car when I wasn't close enough to do it. When I had to go and pick up things from the car, they were again very helpful and assisted me in getting things done quickly.
Courteous, prompt, communicative, fair price, and went the extra mile to bungie cord the hanging bumper so it didn't drag. Superior to 5 other places I called. Great job!
Great place. The one guy will talk to you about anything (they even have a picture posted behind the counter if a sign saying I'll talk to anyone about anything). Good home town family owned/operated business that helped me out of a jam with prompt professional service unmatched to any other tow truck company in Tallahassee
When my truck broke down I, understandably, panicked. But the nice people at Ability were so professional and personable that I managed to calm right down and even laugh by the time we got to the repair shop. 10 out of 10, would call again.
So let me start by saying that Brain has no Compassionate towards others. He sucks and if he was working for my company I would FIRE him with out any remorse. This lack of of human being Insulted me by saying that I was a bad parent just because my son was up in FSU 800 miles away for home with no credit card or no cash to pay for his total bill. My son is 18 years old and he has money to pay for college & books and other expenses. Not for somebody to take advantage of him towing his vehicle out of his dorm parking lot. I will never ever recommend nor use you service ever again.
These people are sick!! I begged them not to take my car and those sick pervs asked for money and something special. I was so scared and creeped out with the cat calls. These people are sick! So sad. I’m so sorry for anyone who has to deal with this place. You feel like you’re in a barn yard and it recks.

Also !! The ruined my paint job... once I got my car back I found numerous paint chips.. said something a the lady with purple eyeshadow told me I don’t know how to take care of my car !!!!! They went wild when they pulled my car out because I couldn’t give them a special treat. Call the police when you are handling with these people. It’s sick.
So I called and asked for a tow in 90degree weather, have all of my info including my cell#, 45mins goes by with no call and 6he receptionist tells me with an attitude that his driver has been doing paperwork and will be there soon, another 20mins pass by, I call BK to cancel and he does it happily. These guys are extremely inconsiderate of your time and unprofessional,not to mention over priced. Take your money elsewhere!!!!
Ability Towing is one of the best towing companies around Tallahassee. The drivers are performing a job and no matter where you are they all conduct themselves the same. Their jobs are dangerous(drivers do not pay attention to them beside the road, they have guns pulled on them & idiots wanting to fight them) and at times super demanding so we can't expect them to walk around with a smile on their faces 24/7. Be kind to your driver and remember the reason for why they are there in front of you ... either it's for a break down, need assistance or you have parked some place that you knew you shouldn't have to begin with! So instead of pointing a finger at the driver or saying how crappy or rude they were why don't WE try and great them with a smile or even start with some kindness ourselves! GREAT job Ability & Drivers... keep up the work!!
My wife's car broke down on I-10 just west of Tallahassee. I called a number of towing companies with no answer. Ability Towing called me right back after their phone went to voice mail. They gave me an a quote on cost and allowed me to think on it. I could not get a hold of any other company. Called Ability Towing back. They were picked me and the car up in less than 30 minutes. Allen, the tow operator was beyond friendly as well of safety oriented. The cab of the truck was clean and comfortable. He was able to drop the car off at the shop I use & reduced the price of the tow because it was not as far as he estimated. A car braking down is never a happy or fun moment. This stressful situation was made so much easier by the service I received. I would recommend this company to anyone who is broken down in the Tallahassee area.

Worst customer experience of my life. Towed the *wrong car* (a complete stranger also suffered from their incompetence), and still charged us more than they said they would. Every employee was rude, right up to the managers and owner. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Can I give it negative stars?
How do these people sleep at night? Car towed on Sunday and told charge was $140. Car registered in my name, so in order to release it to my daughter I had to overnight documentation proving I was the owner. The employee KNEW it would be a couple days to get the dox to them. Sent documents on Monday, my daughter goes to pick up the car on Tuesday and was told it would be another "$50 for storage of two days"! No one told me that and then the employee I dealt with on Sunday LIED and said he did tell me there was a storage charge. HE DID NOT TELL ME! and they wouldn't let me pay with a cc over the phone on Sunday because it was out of state. Discriminated! NEVER use them!
