  I love this scrap yard it is right near my house, but I can't stand the kid behind the counter. Try giving him a penny so that he doesn't have to count out $0.99 and just give me a whole dollar. He would rather count out the change than just take a penny. And wants to act like he's not allowed to do it absolutely ridiculous. Like your drawer isn't going to be off count it's the same amount of money being transacted. Use your brain I would definitely give five stars to this establishment if not for this person but some people just don't have any sense.

  I sold some copper wire to the Leesburg location. 341 lbs. and all they paid me was 0.55 lb. I checked on the going rate in the area and it was $2.55 lb. This wire didn’t have any connectors or anything else on it. When I do business with someone I expect them to be honest and fair. I’m sure that this was not done by the owner, but this guy is the face of the company. Too bad that it takes 20 years to build up a company’s reputation and only 20 minutes for an employee to ruin it. It’s sad that I’ll have to go somewhere else to do my recycling. Save yourself the time and effort, go somewhere else. I will.

  Very helpful and friendly staff. Prices meet market values. Easy lay out for dropping materials. I’ve been to a few places around and this is my go to! Lakeland is horrible, don’t go to Lakeland! If you go more than once, and get to know the people on property, they are really good people and will have fun with you, telling jokes, talking smack (jokingly) and make it a fun place to go! 9.5 out of 10… if I lived closer and didn’t have to drive so far it would get a 10…. But I guess that’s more my problem than theirs! Thanks for all you’ve done Scrap Fam!
