I had a very bad experience in COPARTSouth Tampa. The treatment by the employees was unprofessional and unpleasant. I do not recommend it; the service was really poor and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Terrible experience with these lying, thieving, worthless people. After an accident our insurance used this facility to tow the car. Items were left after the accident however were no where to be found after returning to recover our items. A two drawer dresser full of bedding and a few electronics. They said they can’t be to blame but they were the only people involved since we left the vehicle. Do not bring anything here unless you are a fan of being lied to and stolen from.

I had my car told here during Geico claim progress. All my personal items were stolen out my car. They are acting like those items were never in my car. They even stole my Jeep car floor mats. Who steal used car mats?

THEY ARE VERY LAZY AND NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. THEY CONSISTENTLY TRANSFER YOU BACK TO THE AUTOMATED LINE, PUT YOU ON HOLD FOR 20 MINUTES BEFORE RELEASING THE CALL OR TRANSFER YOU TO ANOTHER STATE WHO SENDS YOU BACK TO THESE LAZY EMPLOYEES. ***WORST BUNCH OF LAZY EMPLOYEES WHO NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE***

Please make sure you take ALL your belongings before letting them tow car. I was in an accident and was shaken up, so I arranged to come the next day to get my belongings. When I arrived, they had already packed up MY belongings and opened back pack to put some of MY belongings in it. When I went through it, I realized that my religious necklace was not in there. They looked at the pics they took when it was brought in and you could visibly see it hanging. It was not valuable, but had sentimental value, as it was blessed by my priest during Easter vigil. They said they would follow up and get back with me and never did. I didn't call back, because I knew it was gone and would just upset more with their BS that they would give me.

We were victims of Hurricane Milton, and tree damaged our car. Tow truck driver took our car without ringing doorbell so we didn't get a chance to get our personal items. I called numerous times and no one answered and no call back. Copart Broke into our car and took our personal items and didn't ship out our personal items as requested by insurance company. According to some reviews many people go there and their items are missing and stolen. It's been over a week and no response. Tow truck driver also damaged our driveway dragging the tow flatbed on our driveway. We can't drive 1hr away because our other car is gettting repaired. No wonder this company has horrible reviews. After reading these reviews even if I go there they'll just make my experience worse. Continue to take advantage of victims will shutdown this business. UPDATE: change 1 Star to 4 Stars. Geico use them to pick up my car and they were supposed to make an appointment. They took it upon themselves to arrive at 1:30 AM without notifying anybody and they slammed into my garage, and drove off, again without notify anybody. I called the manager and he was so rude! He created the problem and he was so unprofessional!!! So now I guess I have to file a police report as it’s a hit & run with damages. Definitely not what you wanna go through after a flood!

Holy cow these two Copart flatbed trucks cut me and another person off with no space! I had to slam on my breaks and my dog went flying between the seats! I was on 75 by exit 261.

My husband's truck flooded and his golf clubs could not be retrieved by us (electronic entry). Priscilla Ramirez was absolutely AMAZING and coordinated for Copart to retrieve the golf clubs so they could be picked up. Priscilla was a pleasure to work with, called back when she said she would, and was very knowledgeable. Copart is lucky to have Priscilla as an employee!!!

They are the worst! Got there and after you pay for a membership they say you can only see one vehicle. The person that talked to us was Johana, from the beginning she was just difficult, they said you need a vest to get in and they can sell you one for $5 but they didn’t have change. She basically wanted me to leave, I even told them I callled before coming here and they didn’t say anything about this! Long story short they have a very bad attitude and are very unprofessional. I’m canceling my membership!

Our experience was absolutely horrible. From bad communication to being provided with wrong information intentionally from inexperienced employees. The staff could care less about the wasted funds being spent on a blank tow trip, after being given one address for pickup to being told nonchalantly "all I have to do is call the tow truck driver and have him go 15 miles north, he can go back". Even the automated system will provide you with the wrong address and your car will not be located at the 12511 North US 301 site because it does not exist. This company has had my vehicle for 3 months and I have not been able to locate my vehicle, as it is not located at the original location given. Also please be advised that we were not told verbally nor was it written anywhere in plain sight that Copart only accepts a specific form of payment (cashier’s check). Once I arrived uninformed to pay, they would not accept the only form of payments I had which was cash or card. It’s not indicated on the copy of the details given from Copart and some of the information written out by the office is inaccurate. I will be contacting the BBB and their Corporate office because as you could image after being involved in an accident the unprofessional treatment I received is the last thing I imagined to endure. Below you will find the actual address so you don’t loose money like I did the address that they are giving customers is a further address it really doesn’t exist at this time

If I could give zero stars, I would. Is there not any protocol for notifying someone their belongings in their vehicle will be discarded? A courtesy certified letter (or just a regular one), a phone call, something! All of our belongings are just gone. Do better please.

Their costumer service is just garbage. I’m coming all the way from DeBary to see 3 cars and they don’t even let me see 2 because I have a “basic membership”. They are the first Copart that does not let me go and check more than 1 car. According to the website I can check 2 cars, but according to the lady at front desk “every Copart is different”.

So Far everyone was helpful, I'm a little nervous because my truck is there and without inspection it sounds like they're going to total it,front hood and grill damage, no flat tires,doors close evenly,electrical fine Heard from quit a few people stating that they total cars for resale.Sure hope this isn't the case.

I got into an accident and this is the place the insurance goes through. They towed my car without any key and I drive there to take my stuff out and they had broke in and my car was wiped clean. The lady was so rude who I tried asking where my stuff was looked at the photos they took after and claimed it came squeaky clean. They also took panels off the car and tried to take stuff that was wired in… and left the stuff they ripped out hanging from under the dash. No one there would help unless I had photos that showed the inside after the accident. This place has so many reviews about theft and tried to blame the tow company and refused to give any info on that. The manager was so rude and only took my call after I had my insurance call and get someone to try and help. Basically told me to figure it out on my own that even if they did steal stuff I would have to use my insurance to file a claim to get money…. Such scums and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Purchased a vehicle from Tampa south copart. The vehicle only stated "clean title" " undercarriage" as damage " enhanced. Vehicle photos didn't stand out on the other problems not stated like transmission removed, half the engine removed, driver door damage greater than a baseball size dent, or at least the words "Mechanical". I contacted that location twice and all i get is "as is". I informed them of the knowledge of as is, but felt this was a great misrepresentation of the vehicle's state. Contacted other yards from copart and the customer service were a little shocked at the lack of info there. Let me be clear, I did not expect a full refund, but something to help remedy the situation.

I've been to a zillion CoParts in my career. Sometimes CoPart staff are...um... tricky. The people at this location are so friendly and helpful. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted. The team was kind and helpful and super efficient. Wish all our inspections could be done at this CoPart!

This private business is worse than any government building I have ever been in. I signed in on my phone like they ask and initially it said I had a 17 minute wait. Which I thought wasn’t crazy bad because I just needed to get my personal property out of my vehicle that was totaled. About 5 minutes goes by and my wait time went to 35 minutes. Another 5 minutes later my wait time goes to 47 minutes. Another 5 minutes later my wait time changes to 75 minutes. One person behind the counter working to help people with several others on the phone. No on cares about the patrons at all. Then when I was able to get to my vehicle that they fork lift to the front. My property had been stolen. When I told the employee my property was stolen she said “oh well “. Worst customer service in my life. And from reading other peoples reviews it it evident that this business does not care about any customer whatsoever.

I read several reviews prior to my visit and was a little worried, but I was pleasantly surprised, and very appreciative to Michael and Tommy who help me with the process of retrieving my tires and wheels on my jeep. Michael and Tommy were courteous, professional and provided excellent customer service.! I can’t speak about anyone else, but these two were great! Thank you for making this experience a positive one!

I just received my car from them Today with over 800$ in personal belongings missing my tag gone car completely cleaned out trunk destroyed my belongs they were left are just thrown all over trunk. I called the own who never returned my call. And now has me blocked from his personal number. And was upset when I did call him. Called back to speak to Someone and he tells me none of my stuff is there I can call the police if I want. These people are rude and thief’s. And I will be filling a police report against you and your company and I also will be calling my lawyer.

If I can give it 0 stars I would. Do not do business with this Copart, they have their lot in Riverview but don't tell you it's at a sublot 50 minutes up the road. You book an appointment to find out you have to wait, I sat there and waited 3 hours for 1 car. What's the point of making an appointment? I had to sit and wait for it to be loaded in the dark, and then had to drop it off in the middle of the night. It's not the forklift drivers fault though, they are overwhelmed with work and too many appointments booked at once

First time here and pray it’s my last. They only have 2 employees working the front desk with an office full of at least 10-15 people waiting to be helped. And what really irks me is that all I need to do is go to my car to collect my personal things. There needs to be a separate process for people like me who come here to do simple things as such. I’ve been waiting almost an hour now and there’s been people before me and in front of me who have more complicated time consuming issues. I could have been to my car, grabbed my stuff and been on my way already. This is ridiculous. They need to put better systems in place and hire more people.

Understaff and unorganized. I had a 1 o’clock appointment to pick up two vehicles and a 4 pm appointment to pick up three vehicles they mixed match the vehicles that they’re bring. When you go into the office for updates you get the runaround. I waited for five hours but based on my queue they cleared me out of the system really quick. I guess they do this so upper management doesn’t see how disorganized this place really is, if your a transporter or a customer avoid this carport at all cost.

QR code at the door for automated process to get on the line. Very easy to navigate and very helpful personnel who worked to make a tough time easier. This is one of those places you actually feel the people working there seem happy and seem to enjoy their job. They helped me get my belongings from my car. They even fedexed me my tags the day before I got there and provided me with a tracking number while I was there. Genuinely good place with good people. Not something I hope to expect these days but pleasantly surprised.

I’m not one to complain or write reviews since I’m pretty much easy going and understanding but I’m very Very displeased and very disappointed in this place. I was in a accident 2 months ago and my car was unfortunately brought to this tow yard. Was in contact with them a few times on getting items retrieved to me that were in my trunk such as jumper cables, emergency kit and an air compressor which are not cheap to replace. My insurance company approved them to open my trunk to get those sent to me as I was suppose to come up and get them but had a Covid scare and was told they could be sent to me which was great however when I got the items in the mail, only my emergency kit and jumper cables were in the shipment but not my air compressor. I called back and asked why my compressor was not sent to me and their response to me was “We didn’t find a air compressor in your trunk”. I knew for a fact it was back in the trunk since it was used a few days before my accident and was put right back in the box and into the trunk! So I was told by a supervisor that they would look again and call me back. Finally after not hearing from them for a little while I call back and get told the same thing, they didn’t find it back there. They even try to blame the tow yard that my car was at prior to arriving to Co Parts but my car was dead and there was no way that the previous tow card could’ve opened my trunk. My mom then gets on the phone and calls them back and speaks with someone because we knew for a fact it was back there and were not happy because we knew something shady was going on such as theft or dishonesty. We get told again they would look again and that they’d call back. 5 minutes later they call back and say that they have it and will hold on to it for us to come get. After 3 times of being told it wasn’t there and they didn’t have it!!!! We got there today and retrieve it and walk in and are standing at the front entrance for 5 minutes waiting for someone to come up to the counter even though there’s 10 people in cubicles that see us. Finally we speak to someone about our issue and they give us the box with the air compressor (after not being able to find it because no one jotted anything In the notes after talking to them Monday) and the top of the box is damaged (wasn’t like that before since it was new when I got it) and the outside of the compressor had been scratched up along with the instruction manual missing. We spoke with a woman who seemed shocked by it all. Very disappointed and will be contacting corporate as soon as possible! I work too hard for my items to be stolen and especially to be lied to!!! Whatever you do, avoid this place!
