Having a horrible day since the car was picked up, but he made the experience as nice and comfortable as possible. He took great care of the modified Jeep and caused no damage.
Tried to trick me and force me to buy parts through them . I have a sealed part from NAPA in the factory sealed box brand new. Yet i must buy the part through them or they wont
I had been told at a previous shop that we needed about $1,200 worth of brake work, I also had a muffler issue and a temperature gauge issue. My transmission was having a problem and I just replaced it so it was under warranty... But I figured I would need quite a lot of work and as it turned out most of the problems were much easier to solve than anticipated! They even help me find a transmission place that worked with my warranty! It honestly is very seldom that you find someone who tells you the problem was much less than you had anticipated.. usually everyone's in it just for the money but I did not find that this was the case at all here!!
They have honesty and integrity I am super impressed!
*Update.. it is now Aug of 2025, They became my "go-to" and my compliments are now more personal because I know them better. Good people, good work.
Harold auto center was a great experience, honest and fast ! My 2001 Lexus is driving like a brand new car ! Went in with a shifting problem, they went through everything and pointed out all problems my car had and quoted me a great price ! Harold's is my "go to" place when my car needs service. I was referred to them by a neighbor as an honest repair shop, a member of the community, and I am so glad he did. They are friendly and welcoming, knowledgeable and accurate, reasonable costs without the usual up sales I've experienced elsewhere. I recommend it highly with no reservations.

For over 10 years, Harold’s has been my “go to” for any service work I’ve needed on my cars. I’ve used them for tows, oil changes, brakes, suspension work, tires and just about everything in-between.
Good friendly folks that do quality work at a reasonable price. Plus, where else can you get your mechanic work done inside a dinosaur?

We came in after getting a repair at another shop, and following that repair our check engine light kept coming on. He helped us figure out what went wrong. Not only that he was extremely kind. Will be back! Can't beat quality customer service and genuine people!
Absolutely unprofessional lady with blonde hair in the office who was rude and confrontational right when I walked in. I came in with all the paperwork and valid license, trying to get my purse out of my car since it was towed yesterday. She tells me im not the registered owner because the paperwork said a male, before she even knew my name, and the male is my husband. I give her my finance contract because the car is financed and she says just because you have a finance contract doesn't mean you are on the title. I could've gotten another paper for her but she said snarkly "we'll see about that", and "I'll just look it up". Okay. She says she needs the keys and I told her I couldn't give them to her and she's throwing her hands up in the air, throwing a fit because I said it was my only key and my last one was lost by another auto shop, she goes back and forth saying "give me the damn keys" and tells me I will have to call the sheriff's office to get my belongings, I told her she can't legally hold my stuff and she just went on and on. I can't believe I had this interaction with an employee. I understand they are doing they're job by towing my car if it was in fact parked illegally, but I didn't give them permission to tow it, and I don't have to give them my keys. They got the car there just fine without them and the guy who escorted me to my car didn't even give me a problem about the keys. Hopefully they can find someone to replace her but that really wasnt a great look as the first point of contact for this company
I’ve been a customer of Harold’s since 2005. They have always been able to repair my vehicles at a reasonable price. A great working staff and a very knowledgeable front desk staff. Jerry has saved me and Max towing us several times when we broke down. Brenda always gets me in when I need an oil change. Thanks to all of you. Long live the Dino! Just had an oil change yesterday. I would refer them, absolutely. My vehicle has a new place to call "primary care". I did forget to ask if they had a veteran's discount, though. Next time and with older vehicles, there's already a next time.
I heard harolds is a good place to go if you had an older car. I went in for diagnostics which he couldnt do because he doesnt have the right tools. I knew my brakes werebad so i had him take care of them. A few months later all my brakes seized up and now im dealing with another break job. He supposedly fixed them but they were destroyed in less than 3000 miles. I wasnt confident in his abilities when i was there and now im paying for it. His communication was terrible and he seemed annoyed that i needed work done. Im fairlycertain he desryed my brakes because supposedly i was all set, but now i have an even bigger problem than i started with.. Maybe he was a good mechanic at one point but now hes just plain terrible. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Youre basically paying this guy to mess uptour vehicle
I broke down and I needed to get to a safe place. Just a few yards up the rd was a gas station I was trying to push my car too. (I had back surgery) Sheriff's department called for a tow truck (that I didn't want) and this company shows up. Instead of giving any compassion or help the operator informs me he will tow it to my house for almost 300$ I couldn't afford it so they took it to their yard. And now I'm unable to pay to get my car back. Very unprofessional
I had my air-conditioner recharged here. Very reasonable price and great service from the auto mechanic. Brenda in the front office is pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you Harolds!
If your have a motorhome rv that needs work they say they can't fit that size on their lift and they won't even get underneath to fix a brake line. They must be spotless mechanics. So I called a mobile rv mechanic and he had no problem fixing the brake line laying down and was done in 30 minutes, now that's a mechanic!
They are such genuine and caring people. They help in every way possible to get your vehicle safely back to you. I’ve been there several times over the past year and every time they have treated me like a priority. I was concerned finding a place that wouldn’t try to pull a fast one since I’m a woman and I’ve finally found my place. I would recommend Harold’s to anyone!
We were on vacation when our brakes decided to seize up. We were not far from Harold's, so we rolled in and we're so grateful that they were able to get it resolved in a few hours! Great service, staff is wonderful.
Most rude experience I've ever had, and in my opinion, sketchy practices. Apparently they had to tow a car they say was in my name, but was sold to a towing company almost 3 years ago. I explain this to the lady on the phone, and she starts screaming about how it's my responsibility, how I owe $600, and how I can "enjoy riding the bus for the rest of my life", if I refuse to pay. These people sound shady to me, and I would advise not using their services if you're looking for any sort of professionalism, because it's obviously not to be found, here.
This place is a life saver. I caught a flat tire and needed assistance with the tire change since I didn't have the tools needed in my car to change it. I called and ask and they said they can help and within minutes of me pulling into the drive way was assisted in a matter of moments. You don't see that often. Thanks Shawn you a true hero..[

Shawn towed my truck and gave me a ride home one night after what seemed like the transmission locking up.
He was very understanding of my situation and he actually put me at ease and made me feel better about the outcome. I was expecting a catastrophic bill because I was price gouged by TOP LINE for many years, but that was not the case they are honest and simply charged for what they did at a fair rate!
Debra was so kind and professional and they did good HONEST work. If need a good auto shop GO TO HAROLD'S!

Came for an oil change for the first time, was told that my timing cover was dripping. They gave me an estimate of $900 and told me I could come next week to fix it. I went to a dealership to get it looked at there as a second opinion. 3 different mechanics looked at it there and said that there was nothing wrong with it. Thankful that I got a second opinion instead of just paying for it. I won’t be coming back. I’m very disappointed
Getting my car fix at a big dinosaur who would ever think? My car needed some front end work just left the place down the street (bunch of clowns they said they could fix my car) as soon as I walked in and was greeted by Brenda I knew I was going to be in good hands. There were already 4 customers sitting in the lobby, good sign to me that this was a great place to get your car serviced. I was really impressed on how they took the time and explained to me what was going on with my car and the cost and time a factor.
Next time you are driving down 19 don’t be intimidated by the big dinosaur, it’s a friendly, honest, place to get your car work on.
We moved to the area 2 yrs ago & I really wanted my car to get serviced at the big dino!! So, that's where we've been going for oil changes. They're always very polite & reasonably priced. That's good, but what gets them 5 stars from us is my transmission. Yep, it went out. My little car's 19 so we were kind of expecting it. AAA let us down by not being able to get us a tow, so we called Harold's. Of course they'll tow it! And, they do transmissions! Because of supply-chain issues my little baby was in the shop for 6 weeks. Awww!! The staff at Harold's kept us up-to-date with timelines for parts & answered all our questions. We really appreciate the way everyone we talked to took care of us & my car. And, now my Little Gray Manatee is running good & back on the road!!
I was 1100 miles from home and had an issue with my Honda Odyssey. I pulled in after 3 in the afternoon and they fixed my van and I was on my way by 4:30. I also felt the price was very reasonable. Great people and very knowledgeable.
I rated this place long time ago, but I must change my rating as the service has gone down the tubes. If you bring your vehicle in and tell them no time frame on the return we waited 3 weeks to get our vehicle back it was terrible than when we asked about the issues it was STILL having after 2k worth of work they said they did not have it long enough to look at the additional issues... we were stunned as the length of time it took them to get to it. when we would call and speak to the woman in the office she would advise that they are busy and will get to it when they get a chance... it was not the service we had a few years ago sadly and the bedside manner has changed. we were nice paid our bill but sadly wonder what happened to the service and professionalism from years ago?
Harolds Auto Center has been upfront with me about any repair or the possible future event of one. Last time my amount due was less than my estimate. They are honest and fair and have been to us for years. I have run into a few shady mechanics, I could tell you some stories, but Harolds is not one of them. When 2 other mechanics gave me the run-around on my AC compressor, I took it into Harolds and he fixed it for much more reasonable than the other 2 places and it works beautifully. They have a steady clientele for a reason! I am glad we have our beloved Dinosaur friends at Harolds Auto Center, their honesty is very much needed in today’s society especially when dealing with peoples rides.
Being new in town I knew that finding a reputable and trustworthy mechanic may be difficult. It just happened that my neighbor gave a very positive referral. I followed up with his suggestion with some well needed car repairs and they came through 100% with everything that I was looking for in a mechanics shop. I will return for any required repairs! Lynn
