I've been going here for about 5 years. Today I pulled up to the gates at 4:40 pm and they had already closed the gates with a few of the last customers inside. When I asked them if they were taking anymore they told me that they stop accepting scrap at 430. Nowhere online nor in person does it say anything or has it ever. It just says closes at 5:00. I understand running it that way but definitely expected to at least see it somewhere instead of having to be turned away when finding out.
I go regularly, and have not been anything less than happy. These folks bust their butts, are kind to patrons, pay as well as anyone, and are closer than the rest. I too received a check that wasn't honored, due to the bank fraud explained in a recent review. It's sad to see another member of the community hurt a local business, especially over $44! Had $44 been so important to that reviewer, one would expect them to have complained earlier. I was literally behind her. She got that check in NOVEMBER; she was freaking out in APRIL!
That's not fair to this business or the fine folks who work there. Unlike the vast majority of scrap yards, they are respectful, kind, honest folks. My check was from January, it was for $122, and it was made good asap. Things happen and we always need to examine our own role; wait six months, no business can just stroke you another check. There are laws against it, corporate rules, bank rules, etc. I would submit that 1 star review is unfair and inaccurate, because it doesn't acknowledge the six months. Just my $.02... ‼️❌ DO NOT ACCEPT ANY CHECK‼️Before yesr I would have gave 5 stars but NOT ANYMORE!!!! They gave me a check instead of cash for 44.10. 44.10 not much right. U wouldn’t think so but I went to capital city bank where the check is from and the teller told me the I was no good. NCF…. I’m confused… she writes me a note to give to the man at Beyer so he knows what’s going on. When I get back to Beyer the man told me the banks now closed and checks are final. I said find me the cash. He refused told me I would have to come back another day to get another check!!!!! SAD. DOWN RIFGHT SAID ❌‼️⭕️
Drove from Chiefland to Trenton to find the only entrance was for employees only. If you're not open to the public, you should advertise that. Thanks for nothing.
It's really the closest salvage yard within a reasonable distance from my house is the main reason that I go here usually. It is quite a drive here from my home about 40 minutes I'd say I wish Tri-County metals were open back up in Chiefland that would be really cool
Extremely friendly , honest people work here. It is awesome... Quickly in and out but, not treated like a number. I truly recommend. Beyers.. Go here don't settle for less or mistreatment elsewhere..

Which is a nice little extra money for the cans that would
End up in the land fill, these also were cans that me and
Family emptied ourselves so
There was no dumpster diving
To collect cans.
They took our cans in when we came in under the wire after an unbelievable day. Helped us get on our way when we ran out of gas backing up and pulling forward on a hill. Above and beyond today I'd say. Thanks crew.
I've been able to find what I need here every time & prices are reasonable. People working there are very friendly, helpful & will even direct you somewhere else if they can't help you or they don't have what you need. Recommend this place highly
