Was a great trek up the stairs with a beautiful view! Would love to know why there are smaller stairs at the top, can't find the answer. Definitely will go back!

This is a fun lighthouse to explore with a museum/gift shop. The original lens that was manufactured in Paris in the late 1800’s is housed here!

Historic working fresnel 4 lens . Great playground for kids with ship. Picnic tables. Lots of room. Historic artifacts related to crooked river lighthouse. Small, reasonable gift shop. Lots of kid gifts. Friendly staff. Great location.

We went to the crooked River lighthouse and did the tower climb at the lantern fest and it was awesome. They had so many beautiful lanterns and the lantern ladies were beautiful. They had bluegrass music playing in a blacksmith during demonstrations. It was really really nice and I hope to go next year I brought my seven-year-old along and we did the tower climb. She loved it. We got to see the full moon. Everyone was so nice.

The lighthouse offers more than just the lens and shop. They host lantern events and markets as well. We appreciate their continued efforts in providing carrabelle new experiences and offers. I cannot "climb" the lighthouse, but I always hear good things about the view.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. A friend and I drove in from Tallahassee and it was 100% worth the drive! Make sure to get your tickets in advance and stop by the gift shop!

This is far different from other lighthouses we have done. We were excited to check out this skeletal style lighthouse. We were very surprised on how stable it is and the views are spectacular! Now I must warn you if you are a person who do t like confined spaces, its a bit tight especially if others are coming up or down, but if you make it to the top you won't be disappointed!

There are 128 steps to climb to the top. There is a sign on the way up that will make you go, “What?!” and then you’ll realize that they got you!! Coz they got me! Haha!

Did the sturgeon moon lighthouse climb and it was so awesome. It's a must do if you love lighthouses!

This is a cute lighthouse. The volunteers are very informative. The stairs and top were a little bug-filled, but understandable for the area. There is a cute pirate ship out front as well.

Climbing to the top in this narrow lighthouse or the challenge at over 70 years old but my wife and I did it and the view is magnificent. The beach that is close by is the one they use to train the landing craft for the Normandy invasion in world war II such history and beauty.

What a cool place! Stopped and walked around while a car show and craft fair was happening. Museum is very nice! Next time I'll climb the lighthouse!

Great lighthouse. Museum and gift shop is very nice. Views at the top are great. The climb is a little more narrow and steep than some others, but not terrible. Worth stopping in.

The Lantern Festival was a nice time! Small yet very informative. Beautiful lanterns adorned trees and people alike. Seafood, Korean and other food was available. Interesting historical facts/tour of the replicated house of the lighthouse keeper, Celtic music and dancers all added to the fun. There was plenty of very convenient parking. I look forward to attending the next one.

Historical small museum depicting the times of th Lighthouse. We climbed to the top and admire the surrounds, we were lucky to have a wonderful clear and excellent temperature.

This is a nice little place to stop and visit. The shop attendant was very nice as well. If you decide to climb the lighthouse be aware that it is a circular metal staircase and it does narrow at the top but the view of the bay is wonderful. Adult prices are $6.00 each to climb and you pay at the gift shop.

Such a great historical find! We didn't climb to the top, but the museum was nice. Very friendly staff and lots of parking.

Crooked River Lighthouse is one of two remaining lighthouses in Franklin County, FL. It has a 4th order Fresnel lens that still shines nightly. A replica of the lighthouse keeper's house serves as a museum and gift shop. There's also a small playground, picnic area and you can find the trail head of the Carabelle Beach bike trail here. You can climb the 128 steep steps to the top for a stunning view of the coast and surrounding forest. Tower climbs are $5 per person, and are usually available Wednesday through Saturday. If you enjoy lighthouses, this is well worth a look!

An easy stop an interesting history provided by the current lighthouse keeper. Weekends seem to have the events, like a full moon night, and bonfires. Pet friendly. No poop bags available. You can walk to the top for a small fee.

This is a beautiful lighthouse. I love the structure and can't believe how narrow the staircase must be to get to the top. Imagine trying to carry buckets of fuel to the top. It's surprising that a lighthouse keeper didn't invent the elevator. Anyway, I was disappointed at how unkept the grounds of the lighthouse look. It was a bit of an eyesore and brought down the value of the lighthouse in my eyes. The keeper's house wasn't open when I visited so I could check out more history on the lighthouse.

I didn't catch her name, but the lady running the business the day we stopped by was very informative, friendly, and a pleasure to meet. The lighthouse climb was fun. Always enjoy lighthouse tours!

Neat lighthouse that you can climb. This one is pretty narrow inside. If it's hot outside you're going to be hot inside except for the few windows it has. View from the top is pretty nice. Keeper's house little museum is interesting with some nice artifacts. Small little gift shop where you can get a momento.

This is the first lighthouse like this I have seen. My husband and friends climbed it and said it got smaller at the top but the view was worth it.There is a replica of the original light keepers house. They have a lot of interesting things about the build and how the light keeper lived. You can also watch a 17 minute video. If you are thru the area stop in.

Saw this Lighthouse on the Visit Florida site. Decided to check it out while traveling in the area. Even if you can't climb the stairs, the short film in the Museum is interesting about the history of the Lighthouse. We enjoyed talking with the staff. The stairs are narrow, but worth the climb to the top! We were the only ones there when we visited. Highly recommend visiting this historical Lighthouse!

Very beautiful lighthouse with great views at the top. Climbing up is pretty tough (it got HOT) but going down is rough and you have to go backwards at the top of the spiral staircase. If you have small climbers be careful of the narrow stairs. Otherwise, I highly recommend! The gift shop/museum was nice as well!

What a fantastic place! The adjacent beach is incredible, and the lighthouse keeper's residence has been turned into a gift shop/historical artifact museum. With items such as the lighthouse keeper's uniform, books, desk, and more, you really get a feel of what their life was like. The lady in the gift shop portion was abundantly helpful, and there we purchased a booklet to begin collecting stamps of every lighthouse we visit. Truly a great experience!
