I've used East Hill Automotive several times now. The last time was for what I thought was going to be warranty work to replace a bearing they had replaced a couple months before because it was making a terrible noise. Another shop (Profast on Palafox) told me my back left bearing was bad. I took it back to East Hill and they said it was the FRONT left. They replaced it and the noise stopped.
Best in town. No question. From the front desk to the back of the shop. Can’t recommend this shop enough. If you’re having issues with your vehicle, I highly recommend reaching out to Ryan and he will get you taken care of. Thank you Easthill Automotive for getting me back on the road!
Very positive experience. Professional, approachable, respectful, responsive. Needed plugs & coils, but they checked out other systems and discovered that brakes & rotors were needed (metal to metal!). Repairs were completed timely as told. Cost was very reasonable and competitive with the chain shops.
You don’t always get the desired result with car issues, sometimes a thing breaks and it is simply too expensive to justify fixing. What is important is having someone walk you through options openly and honestly. So while I can’t speak to a repair, I found them to be excellent communicators and reputable. I would take other vehicles here in the future.
My pruis battery went out. Toyota wanted $7000.00 to fix. They walked me through the process of ordering a replacement and did the work quickly. Cost me half that. Would recommend for any hybrid work.

Love this place. I have been going here for a few years. I've gone to other places in a pinch and kick myself I didn't go to Easthill. Customer service is amazing and they really care. I was having car issues driving with my young daughter on 98 and they stayed on the phone with me to make sure I got home safely and had a tow truck first thing to take my car to their shop. Finding a mechanic you can trust is a rare thing this day in age. I’ve been bringing my cars up to East Hill for over a decade. I was taking them up there when it was still the old Tartan garage, I can say without question these guys know what they are doing and will do a good job. People always want to complain about pricing on everything, id rather pay a premium price for a premium product than try and go cheap and pay even double or triple because I was being cheap. Anyways, enough of this old man’s ramblings, I trust East Hill automotive and highly recommended them for anything you need done to your car.
Second time using them for an oil change. Is very convenient for me as is close to home, they have drop off vehicle option the night before and is ready when I’m off work the next day. Very professional and good communication.
I had a power window “bounce back” issue. I was quoted a price (parts & labor) for what they thought the problem was which I approved. When they took door panel off they were able to reconnect something that got loose and didn’t need the parts they quoted. Not needing the parts, the Price came in over $200 less. That is honesty & integrity.
When I took my screaming vehicle into East Hill Automotive, I was greeted by Ryan he asked what was going on with my vehicle and was able to quickly to diagnose it for a ac compressor. What an absolute legend, he was able to get my car in and out within a day. And she’s blowing like she never has before! Burrrrr . 10 out of 10 I would recommend them to anyone.
I have along with other members of our family have been dealing with East Hill Automotive for some time now. I/we found them to be very honest and reasonable in their prices.
Most important reason they do excellent work.
This has been one of the worst car repair experiences ever! I took me vehicle in for a front end suspension issue. They kept me truck for two weeks. When I was finally told it was ready, the technician said I might hear some noise in the front-end but it should go away after driving. So, I left and immediately heard an unbearable howling noise that just got worse. When I got home, and turned the wheel to get it into the garage , the front wheels started locking up! The same issue I brought it in for. I called them immediately to report the issue and returned the vehicle the next day. Needless to say, my truck is still in the shop, not fixed but they got paid $3114.70. Still no word on when if ever they'll fix it. They get one star only because it was the only way to post this review.
My son brought the car in for an A/C issue. While the air is now cooler (better than warm), it’s still not ice cold. They said the system was overfilled, yet still proceeded with a full evacuation, recharge, and added UV dye for $198. That raised some questions: Was all of that really necessary if there wasn’t an actual leak? And why was verbal approval needed for something that could’ve just been corrected?
They also performed a “free inspection” without asking, then used it to try upselling other services. They flagged the serpentine belt which I already knew was old and had a replacement ready but there was no actual urgent concern. They also said a tail light bulb needed replacement, but we later found it was a wiring issue, not the bulb.
While the staff was polite and applied a small discount due to the “misunderstanding,” it was still more expensive than other local shops offering the same service. If you have money to spare, maybe it won’t bother you. But for those trying to be careful especially if you’re sending someone younger or less experienced, I hope this review helps you approach with caution.
Update:
Wow, after 5 days, the AC stopped working again just back to blowing warm air. You say the issue was “fixed,” but five days later the A/C is back to blowing warm air. That’s not a fix, that’s a $198 band-aid. Never coming back here.
I am so pleased with the work and communication from East Hill Auto. They were recommended to me for some pricey work on my CRV. Within 24 hours, they contacted me with competitive prices (I checked) and clear explanations about what was going on.
As a petite woman going in alone, I truly felt treated with respect and never felt like they were going to overcharge me (which is often the case, so I fact check and research every situation).
Overall, I felt respected and confident in their assessment and work, happy with their performance and speed in completion, and I will definitely be coming back for any other issues.

Wow! My experience with the shop was incredible! Despite arriving with a complicated issue related to misfires they were able to diagnose and solve my problem without charging me an arm and a leg unnecessarily.
They kept me informed every step of the way and their technician took time to explain what they were doing and why.
It is rare to find such a knowledgeable shop that really puts their customer first in this way.
