If I can give a 5 stars more to make it 10 more and more I will. Cause I had a blow up tires on I 75 south in the middle of the night God sent me a savior when I called swanson’s towing and recovery. An old man came I forget his name this man he is Angel. He came to change my two tires, before that he left the job and went to buy food for us cause my coworker and I were starving, the best thing about him, I had to drive 2 hours to get home from Quincy Florida, the trip was 4 hres30 minutes, he texted me to make sure I get home safe that was so amazing from him. I advice anyone to contact that company, the solution is there.

I’m almost glad my car broke down. It was nice to meet someone not corrupted by greed. They did a great job towing my car. Charge me a very reasonable price and renewed my faith in mankind which I really needed.

Best, kindest service—and on a Sunday afternoon! Our vehicle (with new tires but unfortunately with no spare) had a complete blowout, on a side road. We called AAA but they were of no help. Called Swanson’s, and Doug came right out, despite the problems that maps were having detecting our location. Unfortunately, the rim “in the book” was different from the the one on the vehicle. So, Doug had to make yet another trip. He did so without grumbling and was patient and professional the entire time. I have complete trust in Doug, his knowledge, and appreciate that he did what many folks don’t, anymore. Help a stranger in need. Thanks, friend! We hope not to need you again, but won’t hesitate to call you if we do. ….and AAA called us over 8 hours later, and after we were safely home. They would have left us stranded, on a side road, in the dark. Bye, AAA!

I was in a tough spot and needed my car towed from lake city to downtown Orlando. Doug was the one that took the job when no one else would. He was on time and professional and also put his customers first. If I ever need a tow I will most definitely be calling him. Thanks Doug

If you have to use this disgraceful company to do long distance towing DO NOT USE THEM!!! He will not answer you calls or texts. If you try to reach out too much he will get annoyed and leave your truck in an abandoned parking lot. The parking lot had other cars that have been parted out and if I didn’t get up there when I did my truck wouldn’t have been in one piece. I had to get the police involved so I could get my keys and the address that my truck was at. He so NOT a person to be trusted with you car or truck. He will prioritize other customers in front of you and will not do what he says. He is the worst business man I have ever met and if you value your car or truck do not use him.

Impressed is an understatement! Swanson towing is the best towing company I’ve ever interacted with. I was driving my 1998 bmw to Tallahassee when my tire popped, I did not have a spare unfortunately. Luckily Swanson towing got to me quickly and got me off the highway fast. He dropped my car off at a tire shop. He was very helpful and professional. Thank you for everything.

Doug was cool. Super nice. I Was stuck in my yard . Not in the best mood. He Got me out quick. Ended up seeing him at the gas station 10 minutes later. We chatted for a minute . He brought me an orange soda while I was putting gas in my truck. I’ll always call and recommend y’all when I’m in need. Hopefully Doug is able to come out .

I want to thank Doug again for all the help and service he provided. An enjoyable day at the Ichetucknee Springs State Park turned out into distress when we lost our car key with most of our belongings inside the car. I tried several numbers(including the AAA) the staff provided but none responded as it was a Sunday. The ranger there contacted someone and told us a towing company would soon arrive, and they did. Mr. Swanson helped unlock the car to take out our belongings, towed our car, and dropped us at our home in Gainesville. He even arranged for a locksmith to come and help us get new keys for our car. He was very friendly, reliable, experienced and answered all our queries. We are so thankful that he showed up and offered to drive us back home otherwise we really didn't know how we would manage. We definitely recommend this towing company.

My family and I were traveling for vacation and broke down on highway 75 at 2:00am. We have AAA but they were having problems finding someone to tow us because we had three passengers (they only allow one passenger to ride along because of covid restrictions) and we have a large 3500 ton truck. They eventually declined our service request without informing us. We had no one we could call for help since we weren’t from the area. We were stranded on the highway for hours in the middle of a thunderstorm with no help. We called Swanson Towing and he picked up within a few rings and said he was on his way to help. He offered to drive us in his personal car to the nearest hotel just to get us off the road while we waited for one of his drivers with a big enough tow truck to come and haul our truck to the nearest dealership. This family owned business came through for us is such a crucial time of need, and we are super grateful for their services.

Called for a tow for husband's 04 f-150. It was stuck in park. Couldn't get it moving. Figured we would just tow it home and deal with it later because it was getting late. Called Swanson's and they were on the way. When they got there, Doug helped my husband figure it out really quick. Diagnosed it as a fuse problem, helped him change the fuse, and we were on our way. Such an amazing company. Would definitely use again. And Doug didn't act like it was a pain (even though the situation was a pain for us); he was very professional and ready to help. Definitely would recommend this towing company! Great job!

Super helpful over the phone, when I had two tires out he referred me to a guy that swaps them out onsite. After the guy who swaps them wasn't available, he drove over to where I was stranded with two full wheels that he had lying around. He then helped me jack up the car, and try to take off one of the wheels before realizing that we didn't have a hammer to get my wheel off. He drove back, came back, and we found out that the wheels he brought wouldn't fit. He then got ANOTHER wheel that might fit, and put that on. Just before driving off, I heard a screech as the new wheel scraped the caliper. We stopped, took the wheel off and swapped it for the better of my two failing ones. He and his son followed me at 20-something mph as I limped toward high springs. This guy goes above and beyond anything I'd expected. Thank you for doing so much to get me to a motel safely, and to try to get me across the state that Sunday night.

DO NOT utilize this towing. I requested service on a Sunday. As to date they still have my car, Today is Wednesday. He was instructed to take my car to the dealership in which he refused siting payment. I waited for his wife to call to do a transaction on they phone. This was discussed from the first day. Long story short, he never held up the bargain. My car remains at the towing company. I had to get the Sheriffs Department involved. They were confused as well. It had taken their influence in order to resort back the original agreement. So now I wait at the Sheriffs Office for wife to call for the payment over the phone.

A short time ago, our Avenger suffered a computer issue. Fortunately, it was in our own driveway. I began calling around to see who was able to tow the car to our mechanic. As we don't live "in town", just finding a company that was interested in the job was a real problem. I called Mr. Doug and suddenly I felt like I was in the right hands. He immediately told us that he was willing to do the job, but he didn't stop there. He asked a few questions about the problem and then offered to come out to our house and see if he could help us fix it! We scheduled a time for pick up, and during the conversation, I became emotional about a very recent tragedy in our family. When Mr. Doug got to the house, he treated me with the utmost in kindness, compassion and just plain good old fashioned southern manners. He took care of the tow and then he refused payment, saying that he and his family had decided to donate the fee to a final memorial for our family. I cannot tell you who to use when you need towing services but I can tell you that there is no better company and no better people than Doug and his family. I will never forget their kindness and professionalism in our time of need. I just wish there were more than 5 stars for them. Please don't use anyone else. This is the towing company that you need!

100% recommend this family owned company! They are friendly, fast, well priced, and went above and beyond to make this stressful and inconvenient situation so much better. I broke down on I-75 on my way from Tampa to Missouri just north of Gainesville with my 2 dogs and easily found Swanson's Towing on my google search. Doug answered right away and got to me within 30 minutes. He welcomed us and even had a dog bed set up in the truck. He brought us back to his shop/home while he worked on my Jeep and even gave the dogs treats and water. He showed me the issue and explained that the fan belt broke and the debris tore the seal out of the power steering pump. He was unable to get the part needed that night so let me borrow his vehicle to stay in a local hotel. The next day he was able to fix it and we were on our way.

Locked my keys in the car, put in roadside request through progressive app. After 30 minutes the driver hadn't been alerted and wasn't even on the way. When he performed the service he had to be reminded multiple times he was leaving tools behind. Cut three hours ahead he is calling saying he didn't get paid. At 11 pm he texts saying he is going to report us to the police for theft if service, ranting on about how we need to pay our bill and how much of a pos I am for not paying when he didn't ask for payment. I finally get ahold of my insurance agency and the company has been paid. Will not recommend to anyone. Edit: finally got ahold of the company. Got an apology and told that the driver will be taken care of.

This family owned company is a Godsend for people in and around this area! They not only have towed my vehicle for me at a moments notice! They also generously helped me with my secondary vehicle that had just went out on me. Mind you this was all on late Christmas Eve night. I had been referred by several people to this company and it is obvious that they go the extra mile for the CUSTOMER not the money. Thank you so much Doug you are amazing and my heart feels so full. You instill so much faith in humanity! Lol I really cant thank you enough! I am truly so grateful <3

Sincere, Good people! Family owned and responded to me immediately last night when my axcel broke and tire came off! It was a horrible incident but this man found a way to make me smile and laugh and forget how horrible the situation was and reminded me that my safety was what was most important. There aren't many honest good people left in this world but this company is full of them. I am so lucky to have called them first. He answered immediately and had me home quickly without any further damage to my vehicle. He is mechanically inclined for sure and helped me fixed my car without my asking. He offers his kindness just because he's a kind man. I have made a friend in this man and I couldnt be happier with my decision to call Swanson ... thank you. Thank you so much sir. You will forever be referred by me. I need to get more business cards from you so I can pass them out.

These people have been a God~send🙏! Another towing company (in Lake City) was scheduled to tow my Expedition...but when I needed to reschedule for the following day in order to get a key to them, they refused service to me (for changing plans!) They were cold, rude & had zero compassion while I all but begged them. I was devastated. They had quoted me a price 40% less than others I had called. So short on money, I was also needing to buy another vehicle as my very old SUV just bit the dust. I just happened to call a wrong number for the last towing co. on my list and got a super nice fella at a tire shop who told me to call Swanson’s. He told me I would get honestly & fairness. And boy was he right! Swanson’s gave me a towing charge that can’t be beat😊. But best of all, the Swanson family is Honest, Kind, Friendly, Caring...I can’t find enough adjectives to express the Goodness with which they operate their business. Integrity means everything to the Swanson Towing & Recovery folks! AND they’re opening up a used car dealership AND I GOT A DEAL on a used Nissan THAT PEOPLE ONLY DREAM of from a used car dealer! I will recommend and refer anyone & everyone to Swanson’s Towing, and I wouldn’t go ANYWHERE to look for a used vehicle until I FIRST see what they have❤️

Was locked out of my car and unable to open my door with the old wire hanger truck. Mr. Doug from Swanson’s towing showed up within barely 20 minutes and was in my car within 4! Superb at his job and even put a smile on my face when I was ready to bust my window!!! 100% recommend calling these guys if you need help with towing or locked out related problems and accident!

Was just recently at the gas station in Lake City. Me and my fiancé literally got done pumping gas and want to get in the car and it would not crank. I asked like 4 people and I guess that nobody carries jumper cables anymore :/. Then thank you to the Good Lord! A gentleman from Swanson Towing pulls right up and checks the battery and jumped right off. I tried to pay him some money but told me be safe and marry Christmas! God Bless you sir!

Outstanding service!!!! I was stuck on I 75 in the wee hours of the morning with my child. Tow truck came out right away, and service was prompt. The driver showed great concern for our safety and comfort by taking extra measures to make sure we were out of harm's way while on 75 , and even offered to take us home after the car was bought to the dealership. Now thats what I call OUTSTANDING SERVICE. Thanks for everything Doug! Will definitely use their service again.

I was in a desperate situation. I had to be back in Atlanta early Tuesday morning. No excuses. I was visiting Gainesville for the Labor Day weekend and locked my keys in the trunk. Also, the car was locked! We called triple A, they came and unlocked the car , but it caused a system override. Because of that system issue, the trunk would not release. The button would not open it. Stuck and desperate. Through a few phone calls to Mazda roadside service, they sent a locksmith to meet us. Doug Swanson showed up with some funny stories to ease frustrations. I laughed and I began to relax, a little. If this didn't work I would have to wait until Tuesday morning before this issue could be resolved. No way. Doug, with his infinite wisdom, found a way into the trunk through the backseat. 2017 Mazda 3's, don't have entry to the trunk from the backseat. Doug found it! He never gave a hint that he was tired of trying. I believed he would stay no matter how long it took. It took upwards of about 2.5 hours to solve the problem. He even ran to the store to purchase tools to make this happen! I didn't get his autograph, but I am forever grateful. Seriously, I was on time Tuesday morning. Superman, to say the least. Thank you Doug!

We was stuck in Gainesville, FL. Great service! The gentlemen that helped up us was a lifesaver. We had a 2 hour drive back. Wonderful and caring people out in this world and couldn't thank y'all enough. I would recommend this towing service close to the area. You guys are awesome!

We were stranded in I 75 northbound near the Florida Georgia line. We were traveling with our truck and 5th wheel camper when we experienced a blow out on our camper. Swanson's Towing was very responsive in getting to us and providing courteous and professional service. Not only did they change the tire promptly, but they checked the other three tires for air pressure. All three of the tires were low and they added air to all, not to mention two of these were on the side where traffic was flying past us! Please know when calling on Swanson's Towing you will be treated with courtesy, professionalism and most important fair. Thanks again to Swanson's Towing for getting us home safely. Prompt and courteous service at a very reasonable price. Lifesaver for sure. Would recommend to anybody. Ok. These kind people have rescued us twice in the last month! Mr. Swanson's own truck was unavailable when I called,but he had another there within 30 minutes. When it's over 100 degree heat index time is of the essence. I cannot thank this man enough for his kindness. Anyone in need...you won't be disappointed. He's great! Thanks again.
