Absolutely great experience. I needed a battery for my Jeep. The guys checked out the battery and seen the connectors were corroded and the battery was bad. They cleaned the terminals and installed the battery in 20mins. Great place, great people and great experience. Thanks again!!!!
I really think I got lucky finding this place to repair my alternator. I have an older car that is getting harder to find replacement parts for, including replacement alternators and parts for them. I’m super happy with the service I received there, and I would recommend them to anyone needing electrical repairs.

Dave is the epitome of customer service. I came in looking for a reversing relay for the anchor windlass on my catamaran. Dave quickly found the part, we brought it back to the boat and it didn’t look the same as the relay that was previously installed. I called Dave on the phone explained the situation, he talked me through it. I install the new relay and it worked perfectly. That kind of customer service is what keeps people in business. After a very frustrating and disappointing months long experience with Balmar, I was eventually referred to ECB for the alternator part Balmar couldn't or wouldn't furnish for their brand new alternator (Made by Letrika/Mahle). It seems no one in the alternator repair industry nor myself up to this point knew that some or all 48v alternators have 12v rotors! This after talking with several well known shops in Tampa, St Pete and other areas who seemed to think I was a nut when I told them it was a 12v rotor in a 48v alternator. It took a little convincing but ECB took time to help me out and researched my issue including the fact that it also has very special magnets imbedded in the rotor (I think for low speed performance). They located the part in Europe and ordered 2 to have a spare in stock.
No one else would take the time or even seemed interested in taking on a "one off" situation to help me out. I still wasn't sure I would get the correct part, especially since they didn't require a deposit for this special order but I was elated when the part arrived and was the exact item I needed.

I called East Coast Battery to get a quote for a battery. I was prepared to replace the battery myself with the help of a Youtube video (complicated job for this type of van). Thankfully they offered to replace for a small fee. Very efficient and friendly service! They have earned a customer for life!
Very affordable products and carry a nice stock. Battery prices skyrocketed for some reason lately or major chains are sold out of the reasonably priced ones but East Coast Battery had a good durable battery at a really decent price. It’s why we should shop local more often. Thanks guys!

Dave and Dave are magnificent. I have been working closely with them since 2006 regarding my alternator and separate charge. Controller needs. Specifically having them rebuild alternators when possible and recently with the installation of two separate 400 amp outer lithium ion batteries I have carefully listened, and taken advantage of their very good and clear advice to keep the alternator from getting too warm and producing too much current.
These guys are extremely knowledgeable on anything alternators or charge controllers, and I strongly recommend them to anyone
I am a born and raised local Fort Lauderdale resident and just recently had my first experience with East Coast. If you need any type of auto/marine battery or even replacements for your UPS devices, talk to Dave at East Coast. Their prices are extremely competitive even with Big Box stores plus you get the advantage of folks with tons more knowledge. They can also test your alternator and your existing batteries to see if they have any issues. I will definitely be going here from now on for any battery needs.
I have used this company for many years to buy batteries and have miscellaneous items overhauled or repaired. Yesterday I was in there to discuss a starter issue and they told me my issues are not the starter or solenoid but maybe the switch or a fuse. They were correct and it saved me a whole lot of aggravation and money. I can highly recommend them!

I am in the marine industry and have been using East Coast for many many years. I even use them for my personal vehicle. Dave is very responsive and extremely knowledgeable. Their prices are fair and normally cheaper than any other nearby battery place (they've also jumped through hoops in emergency situations). They are a staple in the industry and I HIGHLY recommend them. I always try to shop at local small businesses and they are my first choice for all of my battery needs!

These guys know their stuff! I brought in my old Balmar Marine alternator in rough condition and they restored it and made it look brand new saving me hundreds of dollars. Anyone looking for experts in batteries & alternators check them out.
These guys are the best in the business. I needed a new starter for my boat a couple weeks ago. I must’ve called at least 4 different places that all told me they had one in stock. After visiting a few other shops no one seemed to know what they were doing. So I called the guys at East Coast and they hooked me up.
About a week later I needed a new alternator so I called up East Coast as they were closing up shop, they told me they would wait for me to come pick up the new alternator. These guys are solid. They know what they’re talking about. Best in the business.
We walked in with 2 alternators with numerous wires hanging loose from them. Dave took one back to the bench reported it was fine and rewired it. He then tested the second one with fewer wires. He let us know their size and showed us how to attach them to the engine in both normal and emergency mode, what size fuses to use, etc. If their printer had worked he would have given us instructions. Great work--all while we waited for a very reasonable price. Thank you!
The guys at East Coast Battery & Electric are wonderful! I'd mentioned my nervousness of being without a functioning engine during peak hurricane season so they must have moved me to the front of the line because Friday afternoon the rebuilt starter with solenoid was ready. I am totally plugging for these guys! I support small businesses as much as I can because they tend to care, both about their work product and customers. For me, paying a few extra dollars (if necessary) is worth it. In this case, I paid far less than the quoted price! As I said, they are really good guys.

Excellent service. Purchased a voltage regulator there. Received helpful advice and the price was $100 less than at West Marine. Years ago had starter repaired there too, also great experience. And, dog friendly!
The Davids (there are 2 of 'em) are the best, always helpful and pricing is great. My friends and I buy over 20 marine batteries a month. Boat Rental Fort Lauderdale, 816 Marine Electric, and Advanced Outboard Marine. They will help with all your electric stuff, very smart.
The staff here knows their stuff. Prices are good. Been here many times and they awalys treat with respect and offer solutions in the customers best interest. If they can't help a customer they will steer them to a company that will.
