Went to get an alignment on my 07 GMC Sierra Classic and the guy says "I can't adjust your idler or pitman arms". The parts he was talking about are non-adjustable. Seemed like they were trying to up sell me parts on a simple alignment.
I used to ALWAYS refer people here HOWEVER I recently went there to see if they could simply put air in ONE tire. The OWNER refused unless I agreed to to pay. PAY...FOR AIR....IN ONE TIRE. I've been coming here for YEARS and have sent a lot of people their way. I WILL NEVER RETURN and I will encourage others NOT to spend their money here, too. This is so sad because there were definitely my go to.
Spoke to the gentleman at the front desk 2 days ago. Told him I needed 4 tires mounted and balanced and gave him the tire size. Show up at his shop with an appointment and $24 a tire goes to $35 a tire. I will be going elsewhere to get the alignment done before they change that price too. Watch yourself with this place
I stopped by Burkes around 8:30 AM to get air in my tire, and the experience was great. The attendant was pleasant and quickly filled my tire...at no charge. I know it might seem like a small thing, but good customer service makes all the difference. My husband recommended this place to me, and I can see why. I’ll definitely keep them in mind for future tire needs!
I called and asked how much it would be to get a patch on my tire and was told $15 the gentleman I spoke to said come right away cuz we don't have anyone right now. I told him it would take me at least 20 minutes and I got there and they had people which was fine but then when they went to do the patch they told me it was going to be $30 when I was quoted 15.00. Anyway I left without getting it done pissed off for driving that far and give the wrong information and price. I will go pay somebody else $30 since they didn't back their price they quoted me
Burkes Tire is the place to go for all your automotive needs. Just my humble opinion. They are on the ball, they do not fool around. Always fair and honest. Extremely unprofessional & closed at 5:10 when the website says 5:30pm. After calling & informing them I was on the way just to have 1 tire plugged they turned me away. My tire popped a few miles from the shop due to lack of professionalism and a lack of care. I will look for a corporate number or I will continue to add my bad review over and over until this is reconciled.
I went to this place in good faith in May , even bought my own brake pads for them to install to cut some cost and here it is November and it's as if they never changed them. The whistle is back and I smell the dust from the brake pads. My theory is they never replaced them but stole my brand new ones. If I go back I'm going to watch them do the work. Then they have a nerve to say no warranty if you bring your own items to install.
This is my second time here but I’ve only ever used them for tires but this time I had a bad leak in my brake line. The tire technician noticed it let me know not only did they get the service done same day as a walk-in, but it was way cheaper than all the other places I called. Everything was correct. Cars running great. I definitely will be stopping in again
My daughter attends DSU. She got a flat late last night, I'm in Texas so it's a situation. I remembered seeing a tire shop last time I was in Dover. Checked Google and it was Burke. Sent my kid over and her tire was repaired quickly, and for an amazing price. Appreciate it very much.
First time at this Burke Tires location, I normally go to the South Dover location. I was very impressed. They have multiple bays for automotive repair, in addition to a couple of bays for tire service. The prices are great and the service was very good. You need to make an appointment in advance to ensure you get taken care of. We had all four (4) tires replaced and am alignment. Everything was done great, and the vehicle drives perfectly. Highly recommended.
DO NOT GO HERE! Few days before 02/23 I had alignment done. Asked about any oil leaks as Jiffy Lube noticed some during oil change. Set an appt for 02/23, was told it’d be half days work drop off at 9. Around 3pm I went there to wait since it’d been 6 hours. Got the car around 4:30ish. Paid $694. Fast forward 03/12 got oil change & they mentioned the SAME leaks! Gave me an invoice & highlighted the leaks. Went to Burkes right away, spoke with the mechanic in the office. He says he did not diagnostic it, took my word for it. We were in a rush, it could be leaking but he would have to look again. That’s what diagnostic is for right? To clearly see the issue. What he wants to say is, “it was never fixed, it was still leaking but you were in a rush after we had your car for 7.5 hours and we still made you pay”
They did not put oil back in my car after it being serviced even though they charged me for it. I ran the car for 4 days with no oil and now my car is broken down and not worth fixing. So I'm now out of a car and the money I had to pay for them to complete the services I asked for. I suggest people don't go to them and if you do, double check everything before you pull out of the parking lot.
great service, good rates, and a crew that's fair and you assist you with your cars. they are expanding which is a good sign that's these guys are doing a good thing fixing cars on 13!
update 12/8/23. I had my rotors, back brakes, oil change, and tire replaced - $524! Francis was great, truthful, and these guys do a great job ensuring you your car is fixed. I like when they say when you're leaving of you hear anything, bring your car back and we'll take care of it
I got a flat on my way to work and called Burke to see if they’d be able to squeeze me in for a tire change. They were able to get my tire off and changed on my 30 minute lunch break, with even enough time for me to get back to work. I’m super impressed with their efficiency and how kind everyone was.
Stay away from this place..over $1,300 for a new rear suspension and when I went to go pick up my truck, I walked by their “mechanic” and directly asked the guy how everything went and he said it was “A lot better” but my truck drove EXACTLY the same…They insisted and picked the most expensive thing instead of what I told them the problem was all along..I said it was the bearings and I was right, but when you have uneducated clowns in the place who pretend to know what they’re doing, this is what happens..Stay away from here for repairs because they are some shysters…Somebody warned me beforehand, but I didn’t listen so hopefully someone else reads this and actually saves their time and money.
I recommend Millers Brothers Auto on Pearsons corner road..They are actually honest and fair.
By far the best place I've been since I moved to DE . I moved here 3 years ago and have been screwed so many times by other shops. I finally found this shop about 6 months ago. I got front brakes and they were literally half the price of the other 3 shops I got quotes from. Then again today I came in for used tires because I won't have the car that much longer. I thought I needed 4 but they were actually really honest and told me I only needed 2. I mean what mechanic do you know that would do that. They all would say ok 4 new tires and take my money. The honesty this place has along with its great prices is why I took the time to actually leave a review. They are that good!!
Go to TIRE KING for all your tire needs and services instead. Save yourself the hassle. Yesterday my trailer tire had the smallest leak in it real small I mean micro and I waited outside for 40 mins till they opened. The manager or whoever was inside said we can definitely help you. Then I go get the tire out the truck after he tells me to get it then I asked them about another leak on right tire.. just so I can stop both tires from leaking. I walk up and this worker waves me off says we can’t fix that here . The manager asks again in shock to make sure they can’t and then the worker said no and waved me off and then manager basically did the same. I ended up going down the street to tire king they didn’t charge me an arm and a leg and was super helpful knowledgeable and fast. I would get new workers that service was the worst I ever got at a tire shop.
Well, I wish I checked reviews earlier. It takes forever to get the job done and they will basically screw you over. 90$ for oil change and 3 days to change one little thing in the car when they said it’s gonna take few hours.
Update: after being straightforward with them they managed to get job done in 30mins.
Just got a used tire from this place. It's difficult to call it used because it's a really nice tire with good tread. They changed the rim, balanced the tire, took off my doughnut and put the new tire on. For all of this they only charged me $43. You can't beat the price or the friendly and speedy service. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I highly recommend them.

I recently got repairs done here for the second time. Both were very good experiences. Very knowledgeable, reliable service. The mechanic took a few minutes to explain some things to me, and assured me everything would be taken care of. The total price was very reasoable, and to top it all off, having Patty handling everything was great! I appreciate her so much for the time and energy she willingly put forth into helping me get back on the road safely. Her communication is clear and honest, and always helpful.
These guys are dependable! I feel sure that I am receiving honest and consistent service. I like their drive-up-and-get-in-line option. The young gentleman that worked on my tire tonight had a bit of an accent and I was not able to catch his name. I would like to point out that he was professional and friendly. He explained the work he had done and what was needed. I was pleased with his work!
I was so impressed with the honesty and integrity of this tire place. I came in for a quote on four new tires. As I left the store, I was unaware that I had dropped my tire money ($700 in cash) out of my pocket when climbing back into my vehicle. I left and then at my next stop realized I had no money and in a panic went back to the tire place hoping for the best. Apparently the mechanic that had found the money had the honesty and integrity to look at the shop video to see who had dropped the money..... and it was waiting for me when I walked back into the shop!! Not only were they the best price but everyone in there was so friendly. I will be a customer for life!
Horrible, do not use for auto repair!! They said they could repair my thermostat. They took it apart and couldn't put it back together. They also killed my battery. I had to tow it to Mini in Annapolis, MD to fix. Stay away, There are No Trained Mechanics There. Would give them no stars but Google won't let me!
