Had a vehicle that was towed from my property that was listed as ownership in my name the following morning the was released to a individual that provided a tow slip with a vehicle not matching description nor was he verified as the owner.
Jordan was so professional and fast! I had been broke down all day, and he came along and saved the day in less than 10 minutes. He was precise, efficient, and took the time to explain everything he was doing step by step. Excellent service—I highly recommend him!
I asked for a price in writing before hiring them to tow a car . I've had towing services suddenly add on more costs and then threaten if you don't pay we will impound the car and charge you $29 / day.
So why won't they provide a price in writing ?

McKinney’s Towing had a great approach; the team was professional and helpful. However, the prices seemed a bit high. While the service quality was good, it would be better if the prices were more reasonable.
Mike showed up within 30 minutes on Christmas even to tow my car with me and my wife, was very nice and professional. Truck was immaculate and was a nice ride 40 minutes north. I appreciate the help when no one else was picking up the phone.
Broke down last night around 7 pm and within about an hour and a half, I called Mr. McKinney and they picked up my vehicle and took it to my family’s shop in Maryland. When I called, he said they were very busy and he was calling in another driver but they still managed to help me pretty quickly. Mr. McKinney was very helpful and courteous on the phone. And the price for the tow was exceptionally lower than other local companies. If you have an emergency and need a tow, I would definitely call McKinneys first. For older folks, you don’t have to go online. Help is just a phone call away. No automated system. Mr McKinney answered the phone and I think that’s pretty great!!
The Towing Company with heart of gold! I was stuck, locked out of my rental car with a dead battery in a field in Dover . Luckily Mac, the owner, came to the rescue. He really went above and beyond to help me make sure I was able to catch my flight out of PHL. He was quickly able to get me into the vehicle and jumpstarted, but then when there was an antitheft function he was unable to bypass, he gave me a ride to town in order to catch my rideshare to the airport. This was after he tried everything in the book to get the ignition out of anti-theft, and then even asked his wife to go over to the local rental agency to check at the counter for a availability of a replacement. Mac and Mc Kinney's are a company of integrity that's becoming more rare in this world. Have full trust in Mc Kinney's if you ever need assistance.
Amazing, fast service! My tire went flat as it sat in the parking lot at my workplace. I used Geico’s Roadside Assistance for the first time and as soon as I submitted it (12:17pm), they had McKinney’s on the way in by 12:18pm. The serviceman was there by 12:25pm! My spare tire was on by 12:30pm. I wish I got his name because he also gave me advice about where to get my tire fixed and how to use the tow hook that was sitting with my tire if I ever get stuck in the mud or snow. Thank you so much!

Called at 8:45 pm -after hours. Tow truck was in general vicinity and arrived within 25 minutes. I would say he arrived in 10! Driver was friendly, considerate and helpful.

I was charged $450 for a tow and two day storage fees when the car was in the lot 14 hours. I followed the tow truck to get to the lot and was told it was closed and to come back first thing in the morning. I was charged $150 “cleaning fee”, $150 towing fee from Smyrna to the lot in Dover, $100 for two day storage (knocked down to one day so I only paid $50) and a convenience fee. The workers were rude, unhelpful and dismissive. I don’t know what average fees are for a 10 minute drive but this seems a bit ridiculous.
Extremely rude and condescending driver. Stated several times that I was being dishonest about the state of my vehicle. Up charged me because he was upset stating that he had to do more work by sticking plastic wedges underneath my tire. Very rude and disrespectful I will never use them again, and if this is how they treat their customers neither should you.
My kid had a flat and the spare was also bad. She was more or less stranded in Camden and obviously scared and I was at work. I called a few places and ended up calling back to Mc Kinney's. They said about an hour and gave me a very reasonable price. They were there within 30mins and towed the car and the girls to the tire center. I 100 percent recommend them. The women that answered the phone was very nice as was the tow driver to my girls. Other companies were 2-3 hour waits and significantly higher prices. One company was $70 more. Huge difference for the same service. In the future I will always use this company for any services that I need that they can provide.
Rob and Dave were amazing. I had an electric rental that battery died on a deserted location. I went on Google and got Mckinneys towing and Road service. I spoke with Rob which stayed on the phone with me, reassuring that everything will be ok and one of his guys would be there to help me. He coached me through this traumatic time (being that I’m a woman and I was by myself). Then his tow guy came (Dave) which also was amazing as well. They made me feel like family and that they were genuinely concerned. We tried to charge the battery, however the battery would charge at a slow rate. They made sure I got a hotel and guided me through this whole ordeal. ROB AND DAVE WERE MY ANGELS, AND HONESTLY I WISH THEY HAD MORE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD LIKE THEM. McKINNEYS TOWING COMPANY IS AMAZING. HONESTLY, IF YOU EVER HAVE AN ACCIDENT OR IN NEED OF A TOWING COMPANY IN DELAWARE THIS COMPANY IS IT. I CANT STRESS IT MORE ROB AND DAVE WERE AMAZING. They overcharged me because they could. Classic Locksmith wasnt available but got my door unlocked last time for $60 and it took 5 min. McKinneys took 5 minutes as well but charged me $150. They are crooks and are not too polite either. Not on the phone or in person. I dont like giving bad reviews but I have to be honest
Hey look it was a tough situation. Motel called them on my car because not parked in front of my door. That’s a separate legal issue. McKinney’s excellently cared for my car and it was returned without damage or missing items.
Driver Brian was excellent! Truck showed up in less than 20 minutes. Brian did an assessment of the problem and,battery would not start after getting a jump start. Brian, even assisted me and called a location to tow my vehicle to for help with buying a new battery. The company really took care of me and, I am thankful they came out! I made all my appointments on time. McKinney’s 24 hour towing has great service you will not be disappointed!

This is a mixed review, the two employees at the Lot have 5 Star for excellent customer service. The owner, 1 star or less for how he chose to treat my daughter while her husband is deployed with USAF. the flags look great on the trucks, but after towing my son-in-law's vehicle after his deployment, the owner chose to charge them full storage fees of $50/day while we were attempting to locate the vehicle. We would have gladly paid the towing, but the $250 full storage fee charged to a deployed Airman, while technically justified, was very disappointing.

Needed roadside assistance through Geico, waited an hour, tow driver finally gets there to change the tire. I think I’m good to go and start driving to find that he did not tighten the tire tight enough. I’m in the middle of no where and had to rely on patrons in the area to assist. Thank God they had tools to tighten.
fast tow! very expensive charged me 7 hours for going to Elkton md to and back Dover almost double what i thought it would be. Holly was very nice! the owner I had left a message on my phone , stating that he was not discounting for nothing that was just alot of traffic he was not nearly as nice
Unreliable and clueless company. I needed my corvette towed to a repair shop, so I called this company based on a recommendation, turned out to be a mistake. I called and got a 45-60 minute eta. Two hours and 20 minutes later I had to call and ask where their truck was. I was told that I would get the next available driver, seemed odd that they had my info and noone designated to actually come get my car. I was given another 45-60 minute eta. Four hours and eight minutes later the truck finally showed up. By the time my vehicle was on their truck and moving, over four and a half hours had passed. It was a good thing I wasn't stranded somewhere or in an accident, they didn't seem to have any concept of time or care that I had wasted a good portion of my day on their account. In the end, I had to pay over $100 for their "service". Don't call this company unless it is your only option.
