Friendly and competent workers. Reasonable prices and quick service. I was just there for an emissions test, not repairs.

I was put out of service at the weigh station on Union Ct, the police called these guys to tow me, 700 dollars an hour unbelievable, and conveniently they won't let you pay by credit card, debit card, or Zelle, you'll have to pay cash (of course nobody carries that much cash in their wallet these days and they know it) or they'll tow you to their offices an hour away, where you will pay at the front desk including the time it takes to get back to wherever you want to take your truck. 2900 dollars for what was originally a 5 mile tow. And the next day when the mechanic was going to reconnect the driveshaft on my truck, he notified me that I needed a new u-joint because the guy who towed me damaged it when he disconnected the driveshaft from my truck, I had to get it fixed today, it sucks, It was the first time i felt like someone was trying to squeeze my wallet as hard as possible.

Thieves, absolute thieves. Bring in for wheel, pick up, car won’t shift, burns hot. Destroyed the vehicle, won’t admit. Wanted more and more $ each call, creating new problems. Wanting us to pay. Unreal. Terrible business practices. They don’t care and laugh at you . Do not go to this business. Whatever you do. Don’t. You’ve been warned…..

Absolutely terrible. Dont let your student use this shady place! My college student needed a tire, they recommended we do 2 instead of one and we approved, they Quoted a price and charged $130 more then the quote at pick up. She Told my husband while he paid that the tires installation must have costed more? ….….. When i called to ask about a diagnostic fee on the invoice, after being on hold for a while, she came back and said and i am quoting her “EVERY VEHICLE TOWED IN FROM AAA, has to have a diagnostics test run for $129.00, so they can find out for themselves what is actually wrong with it”. With your own eyes - it needed ONE TIRE, we called and told you it needed ONE tire. We took your advice and did two! Thank you for taking advantage of us because you knew damn well there was Nothing we can do about it. Quote $314.00; actually charged $450 Will also notify Aaa.

I really hope I can rate 0. An unpleasant experience in this place happened recently. When I asked if they could provide cleaning for my towed vehicle or take responsibility for it, an employee who claimed to be a manager responded in a way that made me uncomfortable. He had a long tool and was rude and pointed at me, making me feel threatened. The experience made me feel very scared and uneasy. I hope my comments will remind other customers to consider the professional attitude of the staff and customer service before choosing a service here.

My engine blew up…. Matt L was great to work with. He was direct, honest, and helpful. I can’t speak for the other reviews on here, but my experience with T & B was great this time! Lanette in the office was kind, and speedy as well. Lastly, I walked through the back shop at one point, and it was as clean as a shop can get!

They worked on our car quickly and did a great job. We appreciated the extra effort they put in to diagnos our issues and gave up affordable options.

a life saver! i broke down at 6pm and AAA was supposed to send a driver that what an ETA of 7:35 but they never even showed up. at this point it’s 8:30, i called multiple places, and finally found T&B. a driver was on his way within 20 minutes and was phenomenal. after 3 hours waiting/trying to find someone, im glad i found this company. thank you!!!

I had great service from T&B. I wish I could remember the name of the driver, I've misplaced his business card, He was a really nice guy and shared some stories of his time in the army as we made our way to Uncasville. Great guy, great service!

Absolutely outstanding experience with their towing service. My car was pretty far down a steep, icy hill. This was the third truck to come by and I thought I’d have to rent a car until the snow thawed. The driver was so determined and used some awesome ingenuity to get my car free. It had been about 22 hours of being stuck at that point and I could not thank him enough. I also spoke to someone on the phone and she was really nice and helpful. He called ahead to get info and then again when he was close. Really great work and I’m so grateful.

Used them through my Verizon roadside assistance app. Driver contacted me and said that he was going to be a few hours and that he would call me when he was on his way. Never called and lost our car. Just dropped it wherever he wanted and cut his phone off. I contacted the roadside assistance ,and they told me; that the tow company told them, that we needed to call the police. Well I called the DMV dealer and repairs unit and the department of consumer protection. They were floored that a licensed company would be so negligent. We're moving forward with a formal complaint against the company. I wouldn't use them again if they were the last place on earth.

I am renting an electric vehicle to use for work and I ran out of charge and had to be towed to a charging station. Aaron was an absolute godsend. Arrived quickly, was professional and kind, he hooked everything up and was an absolute surgeon with the tow truck getting me into the charging station spot positioned correctly. He went above and beyond to help me during an extremely emotionally exhausting and stressful day. Cannot reccomend enough thank you so much Aaron!!

Finding out that your car has been towed is probably one of the worst realizations you can have, especially if you are a car fanatic like me. As a UConn student, I’ve been going through a lot of external issues that required me to bring my car on campus (temporarily) due to a lack of support I was receiving from the university. T&B Motors not only took amazing care of my car, but showed me more understanding and empathy than officials at my school. I’m not well versed in this industry, but I can confidently say I haven’t met a nicer, kinder, and more accommodating group of people. Having been towed a few times this semester, T&B has showed me incredible kindness that truly speaks to their integrity and ethics as a business. I am planning to do all my car maintenance here even though I live about 40 minutes away because of how incredibly they have been throughout my UConn parking struggles. I truly cannot emphasize how much I respect and appreciate this business and highly highly recommend them!!

My own personal experience with this business was nothing but positive. Van alternator went on the highway 4 hours from home. T&B came in half an hour and took us to their shop where they diagnosed and repaired my vehicle. The fact that they were willing to squeeze me into their shop time that day so that I could go home that evening is something that I am very grateful for. BE patient with auto shops, they deal with lots of people and being nice can go a long way, same as any other person you may meet. The owner showed that he cared and worked hard so that the potentially bad predicament of being 4 hours from home with no vehicle didn't turn into something worse. Thanks for getting my son and I home. Also, the other young mechanic (forgot his name) that worked on my car and Jake the tow truck driver were phenomenal. Jake was very kind and made conversation with us on the way to the shop. Just all round good guys working there from my observation as I waited on our vehicle.

I had both of my vehicles emissions tests done here recently and loved how friendly everyone was. So I decided to come back a few weeks later to have them do a bunch of work done to my truck. They did a fabulous job and spelled everything out up front prior to having the work done. Very very satisfied customer here! I’ll continue to use them every time. Jeff

I work for a large carrier and we have used T&B Motors for many years. I had to give a shoutout to the tech/operator Steve. He is incredibly professional, courteous, quick and kind. I have had Steve complete some pretty complicated and very stressful service calls with reefer trailers. High dollar loads. Just this week in the last 3 days I called him 3 times for 3 or 4 different units in 2 different states. He has been working non stop on little to no sleep and still accepts and runs the calls with a smile. Over the years I have gotten to know many great techs in this industry and even amongst the very best Steve is at the top. Truly one of the best of the best. Steve is an incredibly important asset to your company and I truly hope you treat him well.

The only thing I want to tell anybody about this place is that please NEVER, NEVER, and NEVER use their service. The woman who runs the business is unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional. My nightmare experience absolutely adds to the reviews from whoever has their worst experience here. Before deciding to get my car to this place, I had noticed there so many negative reviews about the service here. I still took a chance to try it only because AAA suggested I could get some discount if I towed my car there for diagnostic and repair. It turned out it's the same discount with AAA anywhere else. Anyway, it's just a little saving and I don't care as long as they can do a nice job. So I trusted them with my car. It was the engine oil cooler leaking, which they diagnosed and repaired by replacing an engine oil cooler hose and a metal part. The woman was not even able to describe the services clearly at checkout. The rudeness was there at the beginning of the conversation with me as a customer. Yet the worst is yet to come. After only two weeks, the leaking exactly the same thing happened again today. Since it's obviously within the warranty, I called her. And there she was, as I expected to be rude and manipulative again. The first thing she emphasized is that they need to diagnose it to see if it's other problems of my car and she didn't say any sorry to the fact that they would cause me another trip and make me figure out how to get a ride or any inconvenience whatsoever. Although I didn't expect they can care more about a customer, given their ugly history shown in the reviews, and I was disappointed, I didn't get to struggle on this much more. However, when I called back to ask about whether I could drop off the car in the afternoon instead of the next morning (because she mentioned that in the first call I gave her), and before I could continue asking about my worries about the service the next morning, she was unbelievably impatient and literally stifled me by cutting off my words and hang up on me. I can't believe this is the way she talked to a customer who just paid about 500$ repairing her car there which however didn't get to last even two weeks before the same issue happened again! Her rudeness and disrespect and unprofessionalism was...OMG!!! This woman really drew my attention. I'll follow up and see how this goes and I don't mind bringing it to court if necessary - if there's any manipulative schemes on fixing what they didn't repair well but charged almost 500 dollars. This is when you can not just let it go by saying ''not worth the fight!"

The receptionist Leah was very nice. It was also great that they didn't "find" something wrong with my car that wasn't. Women who know little about cars tend to get railroaded into phantom repairs, so I'm VERY grateful that they didn't do that to me. Instead they recommended I visit the dealer since they didn't have the equipment to do what would fix my problem. My only complaint was that I dropped it off at 8 am and when I called at 4 to check the status, being as they close at 5, she told me it was on the lift. About 30 mins later I got a call with their diagnosis and only had until 5 to get there to pick it up. I had to walk, so it was a hustle not to lose my car overnight. Then was I told I was "only charged for 30 mins"... Pretty sure it WAS only 30 mins but ok ? But, honestly, not a big enough deal to remove a star. Anyway, they were cool otherwise and I'd totally use them again. Recommended!

Car battery died at the post office (a few hundred feet away). $54 for a jump that took less than thirty seconds--maybe three minutes total including transit time. Driver was a nice guy--only reason for the stars. Editing review to respond to owner's response: The tow truck driver was literally in the building, he happened to be behind the desk when I walked up, and he told the lady behind the counter that he could handle the jump right at that very moment (he was a nice guy, as I said over a year ago when I originally wrote this review). Your driver being "all over the state" is not an excuse. It's also not an excuse to charge $54 for three minutes of work. I'm not here to tell you how to run your business, I'm just providing feedback so others can make informed decisions about who to give their money to.

We called AAA when our car went into a snow-filled ditch and we couldn’t pull it out ourselves. They told us that everyone was backed up but that someone would call when they were on the way. Aaron called about four hours later to let me know he was 15 minutes away. He made it clear that our problem was more complicated than a simple AAA towing (it was a big ditch!) but quoted me a reasonable price. And even though I had to sign a damage waiver, he did everything he could to not damage my car. He was friendly, careful and fast. Given that he’d been working through the night and this was 5:00am, that says a lot.

I've been trying to have a car towed by them for 3 days now. Each time my insurance company calls to schedule the tow they tell them there is a 300 minute wait time. That would be fine if they actually ended up coming out. Each day they have been a no show! Don't waste your time calling them they obviously don't want the business.

I honestly wish there was a way to leave a review with no stars. After having such a terrible experience with this company it honestly didn’t feel real which led to to reading other reviews. After scrolling through for just 10 seconds I quickly realized this place shouldn’t be able to tow or work on vehicles nonetheless even have the ability to talk to “customers”. I had a late night accident and all the clothes, electronics ,and bike I own were in that vehicle. Now I not only have to pay a price to get my vehicle retrieved but they also made what sounds like a new a rule on the spot and told me I have to pay to even look at my vehicle and retrieve my items. I not only left with the feeling as if a school bully were to belittle me for 15 minutes, I also feel deeply sorry for everyone who has had a rough time here and felt like it deserved a review. The company should feel embarrassed for how they treat there customer and brutally ashamed of all these “great reviews”, and ashamed of how basic each of the owners responses almost making it seem like he knew that he owns a business that many dislike.

Alex Sanchez was very helpful to my grandson and I yesterday. He was very willing to assist us on cleaning out the vehicle and getting the plates off. (Car was totaled). We never asked, he just came over and did it! He was very courteous and kind. That was much appreciated on such a sad day for my grandson. I personally have used them on 2 separate occasions for my car as well. Each person I've dealt with were all courteous! I would recommend them for sure!

It took them 8 days to do a brake job on my truck. I finally went in, made a small scene and the truck was finished an hour later. I am skeptical it was fixed because that is a huge coincidence. I got the run around every day. Even today , the 8th day, was told again the part would be arriving. This review is only of the customer service and (un)timely manner the repair was done. I will do a follow up review of the quality of service. An unauthorized repair was also done. We argued that so T&B absorbed that cost. I asked for the old part in question and am having it verified that it did, in fact , come from my make/model truck. I refuse to believe a brake job needs to take 8 days. I do not recommend this place for anything other than emissions. The gentleman cashing me out was apologetic but I will not go there again and strongly urge you not to either. I tried to be a good neighbor and use the neighborhood small business. Not worth it.

I have had my car towed twice with T&B thru AAA. Both times took some work getting the car onto the truck (stuck in park with a broken shifter cable). The drivers in both cases demonstrated extreme patience and care when dealing the with problem. I have worked with Aaron and Tyler and both we very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. They even gave me some great advice and helped troubleshoot the problem, in the pouring rain no less. I would highly recommend using their services to anyone.

I use T&B for all my car repairs and maintenance. They are quick, efficient, friendly, and ALWAYS have the most reasonable prices in the area (and I have shopped around). I've had to be towed by them more than once, and have always had a good experience. They show up quick and get the job done, and are fast about calling me with a quote. Recommend to anyone, my family will not go anywhere else.

I have had my car serviced at T&B FOUR times in the past month. Each time was in between 150$ and 450$ My car is currently not running and I am unable to go to work after being assured by the owner my car was in fact in good condition. When I called to see if I could get any sort of a discount for the fifth repair he was rude and dismissive on the phone. After speaking with locals about my experience they all warned me not to return, that this owner is a well known crook and many of the employees that work there. They do not do good work and I will never return to them. I will also be contacting triple AAA recommending that they not be the instant provider.
