Have always had good luck with Dean's. Recently called a closer salvage yard for a small part - was told 35 bucks. Called Dean's, same part was 10 bucks. Friendly service also, was able to enter the yard and look at the parts vehicle to determine if it still had some body parts in good condition.
We needed a compact spare fitting a 2001 Windstar for a trip we were about to take. We called around for a replacement tire or complete wheel. We got polite "Sorry, we don't stock that.", or "You've got to be kidding." chuckles. "Too old." "No demand." "Too many oddball sizes."
Called Dean's. "Do you have the original rim? Bring it down and we will try to match it.?" Even though it was it was not a big dollar transaction, they took it as a challenge to solve our problem. After scanning the yard, they could not come up with a matching wheel, but found a compact tire of the same size. They put the tire on our rim, and checked for leaks for a very reasonable price. We were on our way. Thank you, Dean's.
So far a pretty good place for a salvage yard, they're actually a lot closer than Yerington's out there in Stonington, looks like they have a better selection too. The unfortunately the part that I wanted is kind of hard for me to get to and the yard was closing up for the night, but the staff seemed reasonable enough and said that they'd be open the next day and be able to help me retrieve the part that I'm looking for.
If their prices are reasonable it's safe to say that I'll keep revisiting this place time and time again based on the wide variety of part that they have available.
Messy and dirty, yet perfectly organized. These guys know their business and they care about what they do. They'll mount a tire for you, fix a flat, and more right in the parking lot for you. They care about what they do and they go the extra mile to make sure that you not only got the part you need BUT that it's the best part they have in the yard.
I also have been comfortable bringing my kids with me here, my son is 5 and my daughter is 4, and they are the only yard around where they not only were accepting of my kids but actually took time to interact with them! In fact, one of the guys gave my son and daughter a little wind up toy to play with and keep!
I love this place! I send everyone I know here as the first stop for any parts they need. If they don't have the specific part you need they'll tell you up front, they WON"T bait and switch, and they usually can suggest another yard that will have what you need that is a good yard to go to.
The customer service is UNMATCHED! I was looking for a back driver's side window for my car and Dean's was able to order it at a good price and the employee was so kind and helpful!
Employees are friendly and very helpful. Junkyards can be intimidating especially if you're not familiar with how they work. Park and visit the office and they will help you with whatever you are looking for without giving an attitude.
Always got what I need. Will even find the hard to get stuff from places they know.
Will always get my business.
Thanks guys for always having great prices and great service.
They didn't have what we needed but looked around and quickly found a place that did in Massachussetts for a great price so we went there. We appreciate their help.
I unfortunately wrecked my car when I hit a deer; looked into fixing it but it wasn’t worth the costs. I was stuck with a dead car, these guys took it off my hands at a fair price.
Good place to buy used cars or if you need parts for your vehicles and they are reasonably priced... They also buy and pick up junked car... Call for details
