Super friendly and helpful staff. I've saved a ton of money with the windows they sell and their lumber is both far cheaper and better quality than the big box stores.
We always buy from them. Their customer service is A+. They are great to do business with, we always go to the Jewett City location as they are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Supplies are limited but wood quality is more reasonably priced and of a much higher quality than that of the big box stores. For more variety, the Warwick location has a larger selection of most items.
Builders supply? They dont carry any building materials. No lumber only 1x1? What kind of building supply is this? What do they think people are building with?
I got sliding doors from them. Very friendly staff - Kirk and Jenna are both great and helpful. They helped me load the doors and worked with me on scheduling the time for pick up. Good prices!
I wouldn't buy from them again gave me wrong size door. I ordered patio door 72x80 rough opening and when I got home with door it is 74x82 called them right away and they said that is there standard double door. I said but it's not what I ordered. after a few days they offered to take it back and give me half my money back. Wow unreal never again
Ordered New custom cabinets for a small apartment and for $7300 you think they would be nice, they were junk. Lets face it they have leftover junk. I took them back the same day. They dont want to return my money. Save some time, dont go.
Great prices on quality building materials. I enjoy bringing customers to this showroom to see there reaction . usually has jaw dropping experience. Great staff .the woman working there are knowledgeable and willing to help .same as the men.keep up great service .i be back soon.
If I could leave a negative star I would ordered 2 doors not cheap doors and get them one is built to wrong size. Bring it back to have them correctly make one for them not to compensate there a hole in the house and two extra trips!! Worst customer service ever and will be spreading the word so none of my contractors go there. Least they could done was deliver it or give back some for waiting anther two weeks and two trips! And now it gets even better they didnt put 2 holes for a deadbolt lock so there is even more money to spend on top of the money I had to spend to go and get the door built out. And 4 trips there to get the doors. They truly should be ashamed of their work and their product most important their customer service!!!!!
I first bought a fiberglass pre-hung door unit with decorator glass, it was beautiful and had my contractor install it. Then the misery started, standard lock set pre-bored holes were out of alignment. Replace slab, second door had uneven jamb edge and would not close properly without hitting the frame. Replace slab, 3rd door alignment to the striker holes in frame off by 1/4". Guy came out, said it was the installation fault, BS... bottom line is these slabs have very poor quality control. After many weeks, finally an independent contractor was sent out and chipped away at the door until it would close properly and the lock set would engage. Not the installation - the door slab was the problem each time. the door and frame themselves are good quality and priced well, the quality control and time for deliver however, not very good. If I was not happy with the final product - one star would be too many. Good thing... they did finally stand behind their poor product until the issues were resolved - but that was a complete headache experience.
Next; in the timeline of the above, I foolishly ordered kitchen cabinets for my kitchen remodel. Yes, the cabs were priced very well and the design by Renee was very good - better than 3 other vendors who incorrectly supplied designs that were not to the CAD spec I created. So I went with Builders, here is where buyers should take note of the Kingston Collection/Stone Harbor cabinets. 1> GHI is a China based company, which means... it takes forever to get them. 2> Base cabinets do not have full width shelves, only half width (depth). After asking about this, I was told, that's the way it is (absurd) and sorry (doesn't make it right). So if buying cabinets from them, make sure you understand ALL the details up front. All the cabinets now here, look very nice - but there is splitting of the some of the sides, not a big issue because they will be hidden when installed - but again - quality control is an issue with units purchased from Builders.
Bottom line, Builders has great prices, but you DO get what you pay for. I will never buy "units" from these folks again - possibly raw materials, but never again any unit based products. I'll also add that the staff there is friendly, helpful and want to do the "right thing", but they really have no control of the products they sell - so be sure to do your own due diligence, the devil is in the details, before making a purchase at Builder Surplus.
I was impress with how organized and clean it was .the prices were very reasonable I give it 4.5 stars .if need cabinets call ahead they can have them put together for you at no extra charge.
This place is great! Bought all of my doors and trim here for 1,400 would have spent close to 4,000 at Home depot or lowe's. Kurt is the manager and takes care of his customers. I give this place 5 stars!!
