I had a very disappointing experience with Ballards Diesel Service.
We brought our vehicle in for an air leak issue and were charged $150 just for diagnosis. Without clearly getting our approval, they proceeded to remove and reinstall the airbags, then billed us $330 for removal and another $330 for installation.
At no point were we properly informed about the full cost or asked for clear authorization before the work was carried out. We were presented with a large bill after the fact and put in a difficult position.
The pricing felt excessive for the work done, and the lack of communication and transparency was extremely frustrating. I would strongly recommend others to confirm all costs in writing before allowing any work to be done here. Scammers and liers.
Ron was exceptionally helpful and transparent. I recommend anybody needing truck services to use Ballard's Diesel Services, Ron provided quality services.
Where do I start. Took my truck to TA to get fixed mechanic looked at it said there's nothing they can do. Gives me Ballard's # to call. Monday afternoon on the 11th give them a call thinking the worst they are going to tell me they are backed up and can't see me for a week. The young lady that answered the phone told me they can get me in Wednesday morning be there at 7:30. By 8:30 had my truck jacked up and pulling everything apart. By 10am start welding and piecing everything back together. By 4pm truck was ready and rolling down the road. The best part was it costed me $1200 less than what my front axel costed. Everyone in that shop was nice and personable. Made me feel comfortable about the work they were doing. Highly recommend this shop to anyone needing repairs done on their semi.
Great mechanic shop! Ron and his team are awesome, did whatever they could to to get me back on the road in a short time. Very pleased with how they work. If you’re in the need of a repair this is the place to go!
BEST SHOP IN CONNECTICUT. Had suspension issues with my truck. Referred me a great wrecker. Really professional and great price. They were very welcoming, Ron is very pleasant and caring. Knowing I was out of town I felt like a important customer being my first time there. Great shop and employees. Hats off to this shop. They go above and beyond. 👍👍👍👍👍
This is now my go to shop if I ever have an issue in this part of the country. They went way above and beyond for me, and probably saved me over $1000 at no real benefit to themselves besides the labor. They had me in and out in half a day for a compressor job.
