Came in to ask a question and the two techs are arguing at the counter about some other employee stealing money and yelling at eachother for 10 minutes ignoring me in-front of them. Asked about a sales car and was rudely handed a card and told to call the number. No kindness or customer service what so ever.
Used them for a tow. Took them almost 3 hours to arrive. I called twice and was giving false times the driver would be arriving. Tow truck driver was straightforward and fast working.
Rob came to tow my van when it had a mechanical issue that made it unsafe to drive myself to the mechanic. It was estimated to be picked up around a very busy time on a very busy street in New Haven and he was quick and professional. He not only helped with what may be wrong with it but was friendly and got it parked in a safe spot when it got to the mechanic. I’d 100% call for his services again if I needed to. Sucks to have an emergency, it’s great to have good people there to help you.
My car was taken right in. The mechanic did not seem bothered at all by any of my phone calls to check up on it. He found an even better engine to replace mine with and did it in a very reasonable amount of time. The price point was perfect for the service received!! I will be returning for all future repairs or services. You definitely have someone you can trust if you go to RJ Shore! Pictured is what I did to my motor 😖
Something changed with this place, a couple years ago it was a very good place, now they are very disrespectful, and have horrible attitudes, they don't want your business, they get mad if you want something done
Booked an oil change a week in advanced. Got there at 9am and wasn’t on there schedule. Guy at the front desk was disrespectful. Will never go there again
Called ahead of time. Asked if I could get my auto emissions checked. I was told "Yes, come on down." Literally drove 25 minutes and this dump was closed well before it's business hours.
Why do business owners lie to potential customers?
Rob from RJ came by to jump start our car. Came very quickly, communicated in advance and gave us a heads up when he was close by. Friendly and professional, took care of us in <5 min. Would call for roadside assistance again.
FAST SERVICE! Went in for emissions testing, probably less than 10 minutes between me pulling into the parking lot, then doing the test, and me leaving.

Very disrespectful. I called for tow service through my car insurance. The driver pulled up in front of my vehicle. He looked in my face and say in the truck for 2 minutes. Next thing I know he speeds off. I call the company and they tell me he that he said I had 3 flats. This was clearly a lie. My front two tires were flat. I told the person who answered the phone and he was just as rude. He told me to call my insurance. To be totally transparent, I am a black man and the driver looks to be white. He looked in my face and told a bold face lie without even speaking to me. I am going to tell everyone I know about this racist organization.
Problem with engine light. RJ Shore fixed. Second time I drove the car, engine light came back on. When Shore reanalyzed the issue, they found a leaky gas cap and that the replaced part initially installed was defective. I expected them to adjust the second diagnosis charge, which they did not, since I felt they should have seen the leaky gas cap issue during the first diagnosis, if the replaced part had worked correctly. As a customer with them for over 25 years, I expected some sort of price adjustment. They don’t seem to value loyal customers anymore, so I can no longer recommend them.
Jeep needed new lower ball joints, previously had emissions and small work done here. I called and dropped it off 10 minutes after calling and they were able to fit me in and get it done by the next morning. They very honest and respectful, will be using them again!!
Called AAA for a tow when my
Car would not start. An RJ Shore trick was dispatched. Brandon was super helpful and friendly and went above and beyond attempting to try and get my car started. He even crawled under the front end to see if he could see what was going on. When it wouldn’t start, (no fault
Of his own) he proceeded to get it on the flatbed and had no issue with the change in towing location.
I called for a tow for a flat tire at 2:30 in the morning. They came to pick up my car at 5. Every time I called they said they were "10 minutes away". This took 2 hours. It was supposed to take a half hour.
I get my emissions done here and it never seems like you’re bothering them or hassling them. Some emissions test stations in town seem they don’t wanna be bothered. Great people and very friendly. Never any issues!!
I had my car towed there and so upset was gonna cost and arm and leg(which i cant afford). Todd was very understanding and kind. Got work done quick as possable @ a great price. Def found my mechanic .
We've lived in North Branford for 4 years and I can't believe it took us all that time to find Shore Automotive II. Wish we have found them sooner but hey, better late than never. They have serviced all our vehicles including our RV and have been nothing short of amazing! Before we found Shore we were going to the dealerships which is an experience in frustration and akin to getting held up at gunpoint so Shore has been a Godsend. The word trust and car repair rarely go hand in hand, but this is an exception. Tell Todd that Lisa sent you:)
