One time I stopped in well after closing but they were still there and they repaired my tire.
Today I needed a battery replaced and stopped by and he squeezed me in and got it done allowing me to still get to work.
They have never upsold me and have always been honest on what needed to be done. I highly recommend.
Larry is the best - just genuinely an honest and hardworking mechanic that WILL NOT rip you off! We took my wife’s Volvo here for maintenance seeing how the dealer quoted $1000 for the 80k service… Larry did everything on the service list that Volvo recommends for under $200. He talked me through what he checked and how many items that Volvo recommends replacing at this interval are still basically brand new and do not need replacing. Saved me hundred of dollars and I will be back!!
Have been here twice for unrelated problems and can only say Class Operation. They are great to work with, friendly, and very fair. Will continue to use them and so will my son for his vehicles. It’s great to be able to find a local mechanic and garage that you can depend on and know that you’re not gonna get taken advantage of and they’re gonna take care of you. Kudos.
Had an appointment recently to have our utility trailer lighting assessed as to why they were not working properly. Larry was able to diagnose and fix the same day. Received professional courteous treatment throughout the process and can't thank Larry enough for his work.
Great place. Went here after Firestone overfilled my engine oil and mangled my drain plug bolt. Larry took me in with no appointment and had me in and out in half an hour. Didn’t even charge me. Places like this are rare finds nowadays. I won’t be taking my vehicles anywhere else moving forward.
As a young women, the mechanic is the last place I want to go alone out of fear of being charged more than necessary. But here, Larry and his crew are so nice and genuine. I got an oil change, tire rotation, a belt changed, new valve cover, and more. It was fast, honest, and I am just so grateful to have had a safe place to take my car while being in CT!! 100% would recommend.

Larry and his team provide a service and hospitality that is a dying breed in today’s economy. Mechanics nowadays are typically not fair in pricing and with inflation…they’re always seeking a buck with inflated service times. I heard about Larry through a friend and was originally skeptical. I called him…he had me come in after the weekend….provided me with a ride to work and had my car ready by the end of the work day. If I had brought my car to Honda….it easily would have been a 1k + job. Larry and his team did this work for sub 400 bucks. Few weeks later…I went in for a brake job….they were booked and couldn’t see me for a few days…but after describing my dilemma…they saw me the next day. Hands down the best in the business. I hope those young guys in the shop learn how to do business through fair pricing, relatively quick servicing and tremendous hospitality as shown by Larry and his team. I certainly would recommend anyone and everyone to their business
Great attention to detail mounting square directional tires on staggered width/offset wheels and balancing perfectly. I forgot to mention the staggered wheels when i dropped them off but they got it right anyways.
Larry and his crew took us in, stopped what they were doing and made light work out of a solid, correct, dependable tire plug repair. In and out in 15 minutes. Honest, hard working crew with skills and amazing attitudes. I will be contacting them for any and all of our maintenance and repair needs moving forward. Thanks fellas!
This shop is the absolute best. Honest hard working solid auto repair at it's finest! They do have a steady stream of loyal and trusting customers that keep the schedule full, so be patient and know that you have brought your vehicle to a shop that will get the job done right.
This place has amazing service and work ethic. I just went in with a leaky tire. The pulled out a huge nail and didn’t charge me a cent. I asked about having my tires rotated and they told me that they do it automatically with every other oil change.
I discovered an oil leak today and the first place I thought of was West Suffield Auto and Tyres because I had seen so many positive comments about them on Facebook. They took me in right away, fixed the issue and sent me home lickety split. I will go there again.

Typically I like to do what's affordable or cheapest which is why I normally go to a box store like everyone else. Not this time.
This time I went to see Larry over at West Suffield Auto & Tyres. He came highly recommended by my sons. Let me tell you something. This man is a stand- up great man and business owner. He really does know his stuff. He's kind-hearted and truly top notch.
I watched as one of his employees struggled to get my high profile tires on the rim. He went over to the young man and showed him without frustration or annoyance. Stepped back and watched until he was needed. Kind of reminded me of a old shop teacher at school.
When he got a phone call that would likely keep him a little late. He didn't mind.
Never once did I feel like I wasn't welcomed during my entire experience. Nor did I witness any off behavior or remarks that would make me tell you all to steer clear.

Even though I live 4 miles away, I never had the pleasure of utilizing this business…until just recently. Had two different issues in the span of a month and in both instances Larry (and his staff) were thorough, helpful, fairly priced, quick, and the took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on (brake issue and then a tire on my F150). Great shop!
Larry got my vehicle in and out. It went in for an alternator. I had him check my front end after the alternator was done within the day he had the front end parts that were deficient changed and an alignment done. Unfortunately the parts that needed to be replaced were pricey. Parts are priced what they are. The important thing is Larry and all the technicians there got my car back to me in an expedient manner. They will see this first time happy customer again.
Can’t say enough good things about them! Affordable, convenient, and nice! We got a flat tire last night, called before their listed “open hours” this morning. Patched other leaky tire, replaced busted tire, and got an oil change quickly. Thanks again guys!

We have had a couple flats. We have used this shop it’s located right in the village. Larry is honest, he gets you the best price . He is extremely quick if he doesn’t have it in the shop. I have dropped my car off after hours and he will work on it and let me know . You guys are the best ! Thank you!
My car started making a terrible rattling noise while I was driving to work this morning. I called the auto shop I usually go to and they couldn't get me in until next Wednesday. On my way home, the sound got worse so my husband suggested we drive by West Suffield Auto and Tyres to see if they could help. It was 3:45pm on a Friday- a long shot for sure. The crew was so accommodating. They immediately put the car up on the lift, asked a few questions, diagnosed the car, and fixed it on the spot. The heat shield on the exhaust was loose. And- I had a brake light out. Not only did they respond quickly and professionally but they didn't charge me to fix the shield or change the brake light! They said they were easy fixes. It was awesome and I still can't believe their generosity. I will definitely go back!
Very reasonable and they're looking to keep customers for life, rather than rip them off. Larry Sr. has even picked me up when my car is ready. Highly recommended!

My car broke down right next to West Suffield Auto & Tyre and they wouldn't help me. I had to call AAA and wait 4 hours for a tow truck. (But that's another story).
To find a good mechanic today is hard. To find an honest one is even harder. Larry Skodis is both! I recieved quick professional service and a job well done. I highly reccomend WSAT ! I'm adding this a year after this revue. I came back with a squeak the dealer and two other shops couldn't find. Using some hip technology ( microphone sensors) placed in various parts of the suspension combined with road testing yielded the answer. A badly worn lower ball joint. Competent, fair and honest. You can't do better than that!
The guys at West Suffield Auto have old school knowledge and new school capability. Whether it's gasoline, diesel, propane/Natural Gas and even hybrid cars and Pickups they are knowledgeable. They are not Parts changers, they are technicians, that will work tirelessly to find a problem and fix it right. All for a reasonable price especially when compared to a dealer. They are an interstate battery dealer and a Tire Dealer also. If you live in this area and you have a car problem I strongly recommend you give them the opportunity to have your vehicle fixed.
I was in a tough spot recently after being sold an unreal and unsafe lemon. Larry took care of me as soon as he could and picked apart my car so that I could get an idea of whether or not my car is safe. I'd strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants honest and thorough people maintaining their car.
