100% would give 0 stars, the guys who pick up the phone are really rude. They are probably learning from other junkyards. I used to buy parts here all the time, I’ll look elsewhere. It’s sad that people are becoming more like animals day by day.
These people are garbage. They dropped a computer for a car at my shop when only my receptionist was there, so naturally I paid them right away. When I saw the computer after the entire computer green with corrosion. Which, ok things happen but when I called to explain them and ask them to return the part, they argued with me, were rude, and told me it’s as-is. I have been in auto repair business for more than 20yrs, this is the most garbage junk yard I ever dealt with and will never buy anything from them again.
If I can give zero, I would love that they are a scammers don’t fall for it. They agree on the phone on the price. When you show up, they change the price or they change the item. Be careful.
I pre paid for my part and they left it out for me so could pick it up after normal business hours the part worked perfect and the price was awesome I will use them in the future
If I can give a zero I would… the first time I’ve been there to… I called Saturday march 15 early morning asked them if they had a peace to my car they absolutely assures me that they did they told me I have to come before 11:40 so I did… I go there and they said I had to wait a couple of minutes which it turned out to be 30 minutes wait… supposedly they couldn’t find the peace but the guy in the front said he will go back and check… after all that wait he comes back and say sorry mamm we don’t have it…. I was upset because first of all that should’ve been told to me when I called not make me go all the way down there wait for a peace that they didn’t have… the first time there and was very disappointed… I don’t think I would want to go there again.
These guys are awesome, The ones behind the desk and the ones in the shop. They definitely made me feel like great men still exist in the world! Showed me so much kindness and helped me with more than I initially needed! One stop shop!
I bought a radio from this company and the radio didn’t even turn on looks like it was on a fire or something of electrical fire it even smelled like burnt, called them and offer no help and just told me that they sell electrical parts as is and they didn’t even turn on the radio and made sure it worked. Will not recommend buying any type of electrical parts from this company bad experience
Impressive facility & great knowledgeable staff! The parts salesman Dave set me up with a used transmission he even requested my vehicle vin number to make sure the transmission would fit! And I was wrong for the transmission is a 3 pin connection not a 4 pin! I Highly recommend A Rite Auto Parts!
Rude! I called earlier left a message, never got a call back. I just called, a
miserable man said they don't have the part and hung up on me. The man should do work like scrubbing toilets since he hates communicating with people, it bothered him to answer a simple question. Good way for your business to fail.
2 stars because they had the alternator in stock. The service was extremely slow, passively racist, and outright rude. Was told the part base price was $50 and I get there its $60, this was not including taxes. Make sure you verify the part cost before you go. Not a good idea to go as a woman and even worst if you're black.
Extremely friendly staff the answer the phone immediately and take care of whatever you need and their prices seem to be the best around, too many Auto recyclers out there that have an attitude and are very rough on the customers... NOT HERE!!!

Great customer service. I went to get taillights for my car, they came out look at my tail light oder them by the next day we had used tail lights. They ask so we can take a look at them, one of them was in great condition the other was not. They didn't hesitate to tell us to come back to give a newer one. They were very good with customer service. Will recommend it to others .
A-rite used auto parts was a company that was listed on line of having a having a good used taillamp. They, a- rite told us "the tail lamp is good" . We gave them our credit card and between the time we ordered and time we received, the credit card expired. the taillamp arrives and is NOT good , was damaged. now i speak to David , some sort of manager who states "we only credit your credit card, (remember the credit card had expired) we don't send check for refunds, we don't do ACH for refunds. its either a credit on that credit card or nothing!!" no checks "!! I asked "how in the world other than they don't want to refund us the money", I asked him, can a business never write a check SCAMMER
Good experience when I came in to look for a part. Very straight to the point however not rude like other part stores. I felt respected they did their job quickly and helped out a ton. No complaints!
Will tell you over phone that they can't show you the part or take a picture of it. Come down and we can talk about the condition once it's ready. And when the condition isn't right or acceptable because it's the first time the paying customer has seen the part the guys will tell you either take it or go. I rather not spend my time waiting for you to screw me and charge me extra at the same time. Then find out last minute and now my time and money are tied up with you. Real nice. Horrible experience with this place. Bought an engine from this place and the engine failed (locked up oil pump) before the warranty was up.Only driven 36 miles on the engine, when I called to get a replacement I was denied. Their claim was that our shop overheated it. This was absolutely untrue. I even showed them pictures of their lead tabs on the engine. All intact and fine. Even after we pulled apart the engine to prove the oil pump had seized (2010 acadia 3.6 huge job) they denied my claim. They refused to let me talk to the owner. We buy lots of used parts but we will no way purchase parts from this place. I let everyone know (and will continue) the experience we had with this place. Bad bad place
I went to get an a/c console for an older model Jeep and they had it, after looking for it everywhere they had it. The staff was very nice and the prices were great. I definitely recommend Arite Used Auto Parts and will continue to buy other parts from them.
There is a extremely rude and not professional older man that sits there by the window on the right stay away from him. I called him asking for parts he said they have it I came there and he said parts will be in on Friday. So I told him nicely in a calm voice that I drove here far out of the way and that you said you have parts here and he started to scream that they will be here on Friday.
They had the part I needed. The pictures and description were accurate. Price was fair. They did a good job removing it and keeping everything together. Had to go down and pay in person instead of over the phone, but once there it was quick. Would do business with them again.
I have to say the staff is amazing. I had a big situation where there was an error with my name on the receipt and Joe Genovese corrected it in within minutes.
The Sales person RCO shipped out my order extremely fast and he answered all the questions I had at the time of the order.
I will purchase again from this company. I hope these two employees are recognized for their hard work.
Never had a problem, no bad vibes, anyone who thinks that they are rude don’t understand you get what you give and are misjudging them, after all they run a business in central Connecticut and this is a difficult thing to live and work in this state. I have had great experience with these guys and just keep it simple and leave your stress at home and you may have a better experience with any business or person. Oh yeah, cash is king and with this negotiation can be achieved.
I called to get a tail light assembly for my Sebring. The person I spoke with (Dave) said that they didn't have one in stock; however, he ordered it for me that day. It was delivered the next day! Very happy with the service and price. I would def recommend, and if I am ever in need of a part again, Arite would be my first call!
I wish I could give negative stars. I needed a new rim for my Ford and 3 days after it was supposed to come in, I called to check if it was in. He said today it was supposed to come in. I said I’ve heard that 3 straight days so is it for sure coming today? He responded by threatening to cancel my order altogether. SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE. Plus I called Chuck and Eddies in Southington. Not only were they nicer but they were $50 cheaper!!!!!!! Chuck and Eddies is 1000x a much better option!

I purchased an air intake for a VW GTI for a particular piece of it that apparently everyone takes off and you cant buy just the piece anywhere and your only choice is to buy the entire air intake assembly. So I sent my 80 year old dad to go pick it up and all went fine til he got back with it and it did not have the piece I needed even though they had a " picture of it " showing the piece which is what I kept hearing from Tim and then to have him blame my dad for losing or even better taking the piece out meanwhile I didn't even open the plastic it came in because I could see the part was missing. I have been dealing with Tim for years being in the car business and when he was at East Coast he was a lot easier/friendlier to deal with. Whom ( East Coast ) I still continue to use because management there seems to care and am pretty sure based on my experience with Arite that management at Arite does not care. I base this on the next person in line I spoke to who didn't care either. Both Tim and a lady claiming to be the manager could not care less. I just don't know how a place with zero customer service like Arite stays in business. Luckily for me and everyone else there are other reputable used auto part suppliers out there. Unless Arite is the only place on planet Earth that has your part, go somewhere else.
Sold me a junk part. I specifically asked the guy before I paid if it was good because it looked bad, but I needed it, and he said it should be fine. Brought the part to me mechanic, he looked it over and said it was junk, wouldn't install it, and to bring it back. I did bring it back 30 minutes after purchasing it, so same day, and they did process a refund to my cc. So I give a few stars for at least not giving me a hassle on the refund. These are used/recycled auto parts, so there really are never any guarantees...
I needed a side mirror for my car and this was the only place in CT that had the exact same one I needed in the color of my car. It was way cheaper than what the dealership quoted me and I didn't have to pay someone to paint it. It was in excellent condition, Tim responded to emails very quickly and ensured he had all the info needed to get me the right part. I picked it up the next day and was immediately greeted and 5 minutes later the mirror was in my hands and I was out the door. Being female and often getting taking advantage of when it comes to my car, this experience meant a lot to me because everything was done in a professional manner with no agendas. I will ABSOLUTELY recommend this place.
