This review is solely about their ChargePoint station pricing. The most expensive I have ever seen by a mile. I understand the dealership has the right to set its own pricing, but this is pure greed. What a rip off. Please do not use this ChargePoint station.

I recently was in the market for a new KIA (my families fourth). After visiting the KIA dealership closest to me and connecting with our regular sales guy I left feeling unappreciated and very little effort was put in to finding the car to match my needs. I decided to branch out and I contacted Kia Stamford and had the pleasure of working with Steve K. With his 16 plus years of experience with KIA, I cannot recommend him highly enough! From the moment we started discussing options, Steven was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, patient and, most importantly, down to earth. I never once felt pressured or rushed. Steven took the time to truly understand what I was looking for, walking me through the features of the Sportage trim models ,without ever pushing me toward the more expensive option. He was just simply sharing information and letting me decide. He was transparent about pricing and financing, answering every single one of my questions clearly and honestly. The entire process, from the initial meetings to signing the final papers, was smooth and enjoyable. Steven is a true asset to the KIA Stamford team. We purchased our car through this dealership and have had all of the servicing done with them. They are EXCELLENT. They give wonderful customer service and pay attention and address every single issue. They are polite, timely, knowledgable and conscientious. I never write reviews but they are 5 stars!! We purchased our car in February and was told we had free oil changes for a year. We get to the dealership today and was told the oil changes was 109.99. I told the service advisor and he said let me check with the sales manager comes back and say we can do this one for free and then we had to pay. I said that was not the deal we had when we purchased the car. He had no answers basically this dealership is a joke the put us in a car we did not even ask for never said anything to us said oh your approved and here is your car we wanted captain seat did not get them we wanted the turbo in the car because we had issues before with other 4 cylinder suvs did not get it. Buyer beware don’t let this dealership try to pull the wool over your eyes make sure you go over everything and get it all in writing. They basically rushed us out the door cause they got a sale never even showed us anything on the car we had to come back again for a different sales person to show us such a joke. Can’t Waite for my lease to be up so I can get rid of the trash bag of a car. Thanks for nothing Kia of Stamford we won’t be back.

Kia of Stamford exit 6 was such a delight! I felt super comfortable all the way through! I had the pleasure of working with Taft. 5 Stars He was knowledgeable on all aspects. Also , he very easy to work with and got me through the process easily and quickly. My plates were transferred and paperwork was done effortlessly! I bought a 2025 Kia Sorento SX X-Line and was blown away with all the features this vehicle has to offer. I love this car with a passion! I will buy my future cars here and recommend to all my family and friends.

I purchased a 2020 Kia Niro EV. It is specifically the car I was in the market for. They listed it as a Certified Pre Owned and the millage was quite low. It looked clean in the add. One thing that was a bit of red flag is all the listing pictures were taken in the rain. This could be just because it was rainy that day but this is also done to hide physical damage. I live in Albany NY so it's a 3 hour drive. I called ahead, the price was under average market so I would assume there might be an issue. This doesn't have to be a problem but I would like to know before I make the trek. They said it was in great shape, had some used car wear but otherwise as listed. So I drove down First thing I noticed when I got there is there was a huge door ding on the passenger side. It cracked the paint some and the exposed metal was now rusty. It was about 2x1 inch. I found this to be a relief because it was cosmetic. I brought up the door ding because it was a long drive and there is no reason to lie about it. They apologized. At the test drive it was 95 degrees. If you have ever been to Stamford it's not exactly scenic so I was miffed why the sales guy put the windows down for me. I figured it out when the air conditioner didn't work. When I came back I said that needs to be addressed and I was comfortable buying at at the listed price. He said they would look at there and fix it before I leave. I did my due diligence and filled out a used car value form on THEIR website. They offered me $16.4 for my trade (good for 7 days). I showed up with that in hand and they would not give me more than $15k. I asked what the point of the existing offer was and I got a word salad. I accepted the 15K as that was the average I was seeing at dealerships my beef is the bait and switch. I posted 18 photo's with the form. One of the cleanest used cars you will ever see. I was very honest about it's condition. They can't claim it was mis represented. If they come back to this review and claim otherwise I will post all those pics I brought my own financing and they refused it. I have very good credit and I had a very good rate. The finance guy said they don't accept USAA because they issue cashiers checks and it's a pain, they issue electronic transfers like everyone else. Lie number 3. Conveyance Fee- He said it's a CT thing, mandated by the state and not negotiable. I have never purchased a car in CT so we moved on. After I signed the contract I noticed it says "NOT A STATE FEE - FULLY NEGOTIABLE" (See pic) Lie number 4. They overcharged me for registration and sales tax. Total fees in NYS were $233.16, they charged me $488.48. They said any overage would be returned by the state. There is no mechanism for that. I can only assume they will keep it. It was sold as a CPO so they must have lied about that because the AC doesn't work (just missed that I guess). I was assured it was taken care but on the way home it still didn't work. The car still has a year of factory warranty left anyhow so I guess they farmed that cost out to another dealer which is what happened when the dealer here fixed it. By the way I called to see if the factory warranty was still good and they said no. KIA says otherwise. A weird thing not to know. Basic Warranty is better than CPO because the CPO has a $50 deductible and doesn't actually cover everything. I reached out after a week to ask about the registration and was told essentially it's only been a week and not worry about it and they would overnight it when it arrived. 2 weeks after that I reached out again and was told it "arrived today" and they would send it regular mail apparently forgetting he said overnight in the same email. This was probably lie #5 (6?) as the 10 day inspection tag was stamped the 18th and I received it on the 28th.

I regularly come here for service on my 4 cylinder forte. Over the last 18 months an oil change had gone from a very acceptable $60 to $90, BEFORE TAX. I will no longer be coming here for my service.

Steve K was excellent to deal with! I went to see Steve about a Kia after he was recommended to me by others and I'm glad I did. He was professional, transparent and always kept me in the loop about when my new car would arrive. When my new car arrived he spent time with me to make sure I had the Kia app set up and that I knew what each button in my car did. Steve was juggling other customers at the same time I was there but I did not need Steve's attention the whole time I was there because there were things I had to take care of. Despite him juggling other customers at the same time I never felt like he wasn't providing stellar customer service. If you're in the market for a Kia make sure you go see Steve K!

I was trying to purchase a Jeep for my daughter and had been working with Taft. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until he brought in Joe from Finance. Joe pushed hard for me to use their in-house financing rather than my own, citing that it would help them “make money” and “get the funds faster.” Their interest rate was higher than my lender’s, so Joe offered to include a 60,000-mile warranty as an incentive to use their financing. However, when the paperwork came through, the numbers didn’t add up. Joe had added $3,000 for the warranty he had previously offered as part of the financing deal. When I questioned this, he denied ever offering it for free. But why would I agree to a longer loan term and a higher interest rate if there was no added benefit? I asked if they recorded phone calls—because if they don't, they absolutely should. Joe responded by essentially accusing me of lying and telling me "just remove the charge and stop dragging it out." That’s not customer service—it's confrontational and unprofessional. Eventually, Nick, the manager, stepped in and told me they would proceed using my own financing, which I submitted as instructed. Then, I was told I’d need to sign the paperwork in person—despite them knowing I live in Virginia. They offered to send a notary to my home for an additional $400, which I agreed to. Meanwhile, the Jeep was taken down from the website last week. I have received no updates from Taft, Nick, or anyone at the dealership. At this point, my daughter is devastated, and I can only assume the vehicle was sold to someone else. And I have to wait for this loan to "expire" since Taft told me to send the paperwork and wait to apply for a new one. I’ve purchased around 15 cars in my life, several of them online, and I have never encountered customer service this poor or frustrating.

We had a great experience here buying a Telluride from Diego. The whole process was quick and easy, and they were very flexible and accommodating with our unique situation (having just moved from out of state there were insurance and registration delays that held up the process but they didn't bat an eye!). Diego was fantastic to work with and everyone else we interacted with was kind and genuine. I especially appreciate that none of the stereotypical car dealership annoyances were present - no upselling, pressure or misrepresentation occurred. Just genuine, honest, straightforward folks! Steven was excellent never felt pressured at all during the process. He took the time to listen & address all of my questions. There was no hassling over price everything was clear and explained. Dealing with Joe the Finance Manager couldn't have been easier no high pressure selling of extras. Explained all paperwork and made sure pricing was accurate as agreed upon. The day we picked up the car couldn't be easier. Steven took the time to explain everything in our new Sportage ensuring we fully understood everything in our new car. I need to edit my review because I have had nothing but problems since I got the car. My Land Rover had a coolant leak when I purchased it. I discovered it when my coolant was draining fast and I had a puddle in my driveway. The coolant leak was fixed by Land Rover Hartford, but 5 months later. It shouldn't have been leaking to begin with. My service required light came on as soon as I left the lot. Called Kia and I did what they said to reset it and that didn't work. That light is still on now. Now my engine light is on. It is currently at Land Rover Hartford getting fixed properly and my back breaks need to be replaced. Long story short, it doesn't seem as though Kia services their cars before they sell them. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The sales side of Kia was great but, the service side not so much. I recently bought a Land rover Discovery Sport from Kia of Stamford. The vehicle had everything I wanted from the color to the wheels and I traveled 2 hours one way to get it. Diego was my salesman and he was great. He wasn’t a pushy salesman just trying to make a sale. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the car. He was able to answer every question we had. When I picked up the car he made sure everything was in order making the pick up and payment process smooth and quick. Terry was also great and made the financial part of the process very easy. I would recommend Kia of Stamford to anyone looking for a car.

Came in for maintenance and ended up getting a new car—great service! Juan was excellent, providing clear and transparent communication regarding all fees. My previous Kia was from the Bronx, where I ended up paying many hidden fees. Compared to that experience, the communication here was much better, and everything was upfront and honest. Highly recommend!

Steven K. at Kia Stamford gets My husband and I are newer to CT and went into the dealership just to test drive a few vehicles to upgrade from our Jeep Wrangler. Unlike other car salespeople we have encountered, Steven was super transparent with us about pricing, deals, and what car would be the best fit for what we were looking for. Throughout the process, Steven did not put any pressure on us to buy a car right away and make impulse decisions. Instead, he was patient and worked with us each step of the way. We ended up leasing a Telluride and are so happy with our decision. I truly recommend using Steven, as he is a pleasure to work with. Kia of Stamford delivered my 2025 Sportage PHEV Prestige quickly and efficiently, with thanks to TJ & Terence. The car is amazing. My only complaint is that they didn’t disclose the proper mileage on this “new” vehicle. They were close to 100 miles off.

They sold me a lemon and take no responsibility, A brand new Kia Sportage Plug in Hybrid. Overheats as soon as the car transitions from Electric to Gas. No one picks up from Service or Sales. The sales guy Leo quit the day after I got sold the car. I am repeatedly promised calls back to rectify this and no one calls back. Put on hold again and again. Everyone one "understands my frustration" no one does anything. Avoid at all costs. Here is a picture of my car's coolant too hot light going off, shortly after driving it off the lot. I pulled over, the manual said "impending catastrophic engine failure" pull over immediately. One star is too low. The level of disrespect for a new customer is astounding.

I bought my new Kia Soul there back in 2012!!! They staff was so nice and accommodating that I returned in 2024 to buy my new Soul there as well. Steven was my salesman and I couldn't of been any happier!!! They are kind, knowledgeable and professional!!! If you are in the market for a new Kia, I suggest you don't walk, but run to Kia of Stamford. They are the best! And as a side note, I live in KENT NY, drove 45 minutes to get there, and it was worth every second!!

Biamllelys Gonzalez is a great sales associate! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vehicle. She's knowledgeable, patient and thorough. She's definitely an asset to Kia Stamford. Also I must recognize Dave, Terry and TJ. Kia Stamford makes you feel like you're apart of a family. I've never felt like they were just pushing any deal on me to sell a vehicle.
