I found LONESTAR by driving looking for a tire place. I met Fulvio, the owner and he was great! Him & the other two gentlemen that were with him. My tired was changed and they were kind. I needed this on this morning because my day didn’t start off well. I would recommend LONESTAR to my friends & family.
Everyone was so nice and the owner really helped us out in a tight spot! We're from out of state, and they were very understanding and willing to help us get everything figured out.
Called AAA, asked for a towing service for a vehicle breakdown back to my house and the legend, Brad G, came within 5 minutes. Call it faith or destiny, either way, he was quick to help.
Overall it only took 20 minutes, and I can’t thank him enough! Brad, if you’re reading this, you made my mother happy.

First of all, if there is anyone who needs a tow, please send out Carlos. He was phenomenal. He was dispatched out to us by AAA on I95 and it was not an easy shoulder to pull over to. AAA sucked at giving him our location, but Carlos made sure to call us on his way and give us updates. Once he made sure we were ok and took us to a near by Firestone. He was polite, easygoing, and definitely calmed our nerves down. We’re just two girls coming back from a weekend trip from ct to nj and this was the worst thing to happen during such a relaxing weekend. Thankfully Carlos was the guy who helped us.
Overcharged
Update: went to pick up my receipt, employees were very aggressive and rude. One employee or owner (not sure) was mad about my review and thought an attitude was the best way to handle it. Overall thumbs down for this company and also car was NOT fully hooked when owner of vehicle seen it being hooked up. $250 to drop the car that should’ve never been towed when a normal drop is $125.
Another update: never yelled at the tow guy. He was actually very chill besides the fact of still charging when car was not fully hooked. The tow man actually agreed with us that there should be sign and only reason police said we had to pay was because the vehicle was on private property. This business isn’t going to last long from what these reviews are saying. Police was called by security and by owner of car. And they came within 10-15 minutes of being called. The wait was due to the fact of the tow was questionable and it came down to the simple fact of the property is private. Police actually agreed tow price was insane and questionable.
I added photos for context. There was no way to block the tow guy in even if we wanted to, plus police were on the scene, he could of left anytime.
Cars park here day in and day out. It is an inconvenient parking lot at times, not only for the residents but also for agents in office. It’s not the tow companies fault for be called but they could have got an amazing rate for just coming and doing their job and keeping it professional.
I had a very bad experience, I called the crane because of a mechanical problem of my vehicle and they took him to their workshop, my vehicle spent a month and a half with them. The first time I went for the diagnosis m they said it was a transmission problem, 3 weeks later they changed the diagnosis, saying that it was a sensor problem, and a month and a half, they indicated that they had q, send it to a workshop in the Diler, because they were not able to find the problem. I was charged 650 dollars just for having him in his workshop, and not giving me positive results. I asked them to take the vehicle home, I got the number of a good independent mechanic and I solved the problem in a day, which calls into question the diagnosis for which they charged me, since none of those diagnoses was the problem.
Lone Star was quick to respond, professional and honest with their knowledge of replacing my battery and reading the engine alert warning. After being away for 10 days for Thanksgiving, no one wants to come home to a car that won’t start and worrying about what might be wrong beyond a simple battery replacement. Everyone at Lone Star is friendly, reassuring and knowledgeable. Don’t hesitate to call them, they’re great!
CRIMINALS - STAY AWAY.
I had legally parked my car for LESS THAN 7 minutes at night, when I returned I found my car had been stolen by those guys. It was 1AM, empty street, I was 40 miles away from home. I sat on the floor then 10 minutes later I saw their tow truck coming to camp for another vehicle to steal even though the roads and streets were empty. I asked him if he took my car and where is it, he refused to answer my questions and he tried to be aggressive even though I asked him a simple question, I told him it’s the middle of the night, I parked for less than 7 minutes and I’m far from home I’ll pay the tow fee now and I just need my car back. He refused to give me my car even when I was ready to pay for his illegal tow, and he said I need to wait until morning for the office to open. When I simply just tried to explain the situation this guy got aggressive and tried to fight me.
He is camping there, waiting for you to park your car and leave the area and as soon as you turn your head he’ll steal your car and money
They are criminals, they illegally camp and tow cars and when you try to get your car back they’ll try to fight you
Service is there is excellent! In my past experience, I have always felt I was getting ripped off with charges to get the car fixed but at Lone Star - I have never felt that way. They are incredibly fair with pricing of the work & materials and provide an explanation for everything that was being done. Awesome thank you so much.
Lone Star saved me and my girlfriend after our moving truck broke down on i95 - Keith from Lonestar was amazing! He made eveything feel ok and got our truck towed so we can finishing moving into our new home. Keith saved the day, great guy, amazing customer service . I highly recommend Lone Star !
I’ll give them a 2 star just because they came out so late. That being said, the tow truck driver gave me a sob story about being nice and what not and decided to charge me $400 instead of $650 in which I totally respect. At least have the common sense to park the truck facing the right direction. Your driver parked my truck facing the opposite direction and now I have the police harassing me. Sometimes it’s not all about $$$, I don’t mind paying $650 to get the job done properly. When I called to ask if they can move the truck around of course they wanted to charge me again. thanks for your service!
This company was contracted thru AAA to tow our son's car back to his home. He was stranded after an accident on I-95. They showed up about 3 hours late and only towed him to the nearest exit and left him in a Walmart parking lot, in the middle of the night. The WORST part is that the tow driver hooked him up and left him in his vehicle for the duration of the tow!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT SAFE AND DO NOT HAVE ANY CONSIDERATION FOR THE DRIVER.
After emptying my entire car and releasing it for my insurance to pick it up, the wonderful Lone Star team decided to hold my car for additional week without answering my insurance adjusters calls. They claimed we never released the vehicle. Interestingly, they didn’t answer our calls for a week when we were trying to get the car released.
This is a common ploy these tow companies use to get more money out of the insurance companies when an accident happens. The more days a car sits on their lot, the more money they get.
They think taking money from a large insurance company is a victimless crime. However, they fail to understand (or just dont care to understand) that the car owner is the one getting most hurt by them delaying the process. Now an entire extra week has gone by where I dont have a car.
Shame too because the drivers for this company are awesome. Their hard work gets tarnished by their greedy bosses greasy habits. Unethical business practices will always catch up to ownership. If people didnt drive cars the owners of lone star wouldnt have a business. Literally biting the hand that feeds.
Kim & Vincent were exceptional to work with. I was stranded on the side of the road and abandoned by my insurance provider after going through them to request an emergency roadside tow. I gave up on my provider after 2+ hours and called Lone Star who came to me within 25 minutes on a late Sunday evening and arranged for towing to their lot for the evening and subsequently to a dealership for repair in the morning. Kim's communication and responsiveness was fantastic.
I called at least 5 towing companies when my van broke down and they were either rude or price gougers but not Lone Star. I spoke to Kendrick and not only was he polite and respectful but he was fast and responsive. I think the driver who towed my van was named Nick and he was also very kind considerate and friendly. You can tell that these guys care about their customers. Thanks a lot.
Many thanks to this place, specifically to Toby who not only came to help me put on the spare tire yesterday after I had a flat tire, but also giving me the most cost-efficient way of tackling such tire issue.

Complete brake failure with broken calipers and torn brake fluid line. I lost complete brake function. Had car towed from Queens to garage with complete repair within 36 hours. Staff stayed overtime so I could get to work. Outstanding professionalism and a great team of people. Recommend without any reservations.
Excellent Service! Was hit from behind by one of Connecticut’s many unlicensed drivers! She pretty much destroyed my 1.5 yo Tesla. This is the towing company called to come to the Merrit Pkwy by the State Trooper. They were great—fast, courteous, and treated us with kindness, as we were now going to be late for the wedding we were attending in Boston. Frank, the man who drove the tow truck, was kind, could see we were upset, and his general demeanor helped calm us down. Everyone working there went out of their way to be helpful, even though they see this all the time. Much appreciated!
The driver Henrik, was quite literally THE MAN! I was quoted a time from triple A, of 2 hours. The driver showed up in less then an hour. He also went a little crazy about how perfect my vintage BMW was, and we spoke for several minutes about how incredible of an example my E30 is. Once he jump started the vehicle, and loaded it onto the truck, I asked him if I should kill the ignition. And he replied, "no, keep it running so the alternator can charge the battery, as most shops will charge you for every little thing, including jump starting the car in order to move it into the serviceable area". He cared that much! I would rank him an eleven out of ten! I could not be more pleased with the level of service, the friendly conversation, and the general concern that this driver provided. I hope he receives promotions within the company, and is adequately compensated for the high level of a person that he is!
Super and amazing body shop!
I drove to Lone Star without informing them I would leave my car and keys. I called and left a message explaining the issue with my car that night. I was very surprised they called me early in the morning. This shop is amazing because I was surprised how fast they got back to me. The owner and his employees are caring, and very professional. One of the owners called me back to tell me they temporarily fixed the Inner Fender Shield for the right front side of the car! Which I was not expecting to be fixed and they found a way. When I picked up my car, they told me if I would like them to order the Inner Fender? I said yes please, and they will call when went it arrives. If I can give them a 10-star review, I would! I’m a resident at the Harbor Point and I go there because it is my local gas station and more! Thank you very much guys for everything!
I used the AAA today, and had a great service done by Justin. Very nice and helpful, he was able to check what was wrong with my vehicle that I was having towed. It’s great when someone can help you out of the goodness of their heart! If you ever request someone , request Justin! He is awesome and a life saver!
I had a very pleasant experience with Justin on Monday. My husband's car wouldn't start over the weekend. We were told the starter needs to be replaced so we called for a tow to a family friend to have it fixed. Justin arrived promptly Monday morning. He was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. Got the car started and explained in detail what was wrong with the car. I would highly recommend their services.
I'm not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews for this business, and maybe I've just gotten lucky; however, I've never had a bad experience here and have utilized Lone Star twice.
The woman who was at reception the time(s) I was there was super kind, and the gentlemen who were working on the vehicle(s) were also really courteous and kind.
I'm glad these folks are aligned with AAA because anytime something may go wrong, we'll be able to leverage their expertise.

This company is the worst experience I have ever had while being a premium AAA member. Unfortunately they are the only tow company in the area so they use that to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. We broke down in CT over the weekend and they left us on the side of the road twice. They showed up for what was supposed to be a fully covered call and attempted to extort $150 and lie that AAA had cancelled the call when in fact the driver Nicholas cancelled it. After calling AAA to resolve the issue they lied to AAA stating that I was not present when I was the person that spoke directly to the driver no name or Id was requested. He just drove off when I informed him that there must have been a "misunderstanding" about the fee.
At this point I have been abandoned on the side of the road all day while on vacation all the way from California. I can't believe they would ever leave any person in that situation. If for some reason you have the opportunity to use another two company I beg that you do. Nicholas, Phil, all of them are heartless and useless. Attached are the pictures of when they left me while trying to calmly resolve the issue. Oh and the whole interaction was less that 1 minutes. If anyone was eligible for zero stars it is this company.
The customer service our company received was outstanding. My boss is not easily impressed, but this time he was. From the polite voice of Kim who answered the phone and our questions, Frank the manager who made things happened and Joe the mechanic who went out of his way to make sure our truck was fixed in no time and Fulvio's efficiency sending our invoice via email and the driver who went to give us a jump start. They were also flexible with several methods of payment. Thank you Lone Star for the good old fashion customer service.
I kept breaking down every other day for over a year. I had brought the car to numerous service stations and dealerships and replaced numerous batteries but still kept breaking down. I called Triple AAA and they sent Lone Star Repair Service to tow the car. This was the best thing that could ever happen! The driver was so professional and suggested that their mechanic took a look. They kept the car for a few days and found a simple problem that has been fixed ever since. It has been running perfect now for 6 months. I highly recommend this friendly and reliable service station.
