DAS&W did an outstanding job on my older truck. After some rough terrain caused the front sway bar bracket to break loose from the frame, they came through with a quick turnaround and top-notch craftsmanship. The welding work is excellent, and they went above and beyond by replacing all the sway bar bushings as well. Truly professional service—these guys rock!

Absolutely nothing bad to say. Ed is an amazing mechanic as well as a communicator. Saving the customer money and getting the job done correctly are both in their best interest. Took my Lexus SUV to have it's frame repaired. After the repair I was going to install a hitch. They suggested they do the hitch installation and I agreed. The frame repair was top notch and the hitch installation was also excellent. You can't go wrong with Danbury Auto Spring and I definitely will use them in the future, and will recommend them to friends.
They repaired the frame on my 2013 silverado. Turned it around next day. You can tell they take pride in their work. Can't beat the price. Highly recommend.
Broke down on the highway with our 5th wheel and took it to this shop first thing in the morning. They were busy but moved trucks around to get us in immediately! 4 hours later the job is done and we are back on the road. Brought in my 68 Camaro that I just purchased. The back end was lower on one side. they were able to work with my original leaf springs to make them correct. The price was very reasonable.I would definitely use them again and recommend them.
if anyone has a problem with trucks or cars springs and hangers and much more go to the best DANBURY AUTO SPRING & WELDING. My 2008 GM truck leaf spring hangers rusted and one broke and to find out GM doesn't make them anymore or does aftermarket. Called danbury spring and set a date to bring the truck in three days later. They took it in and got it back the next day .They did a great job and found another problem and took care of it. Great people to talk to and great repair service.So if you have problem go to there website a give them a call.
If you own an older Toyota truck/SUV that has developed a leaking rear axle differential cover due to pinholes created from rust, Danbury Auto Spring & Welding can repair it for you.
With almost 300K miles on our 2002 Toyota 4runner, it had developed a slow leak from pinholes rusting through on the rear differential cover. Toyotas do not have a bolt on type cover like other makes, but it is welded on from the manufacturer, and is of thinner gauge metal than the rest of the rear axle housing.
Other repair shops were suggesting to replace the entire rear axle housing, which is no longer available new, so the only other option was to locate a salvage yard part, gambling on the condition, and costing significantly more. After doing some research, I have found that replacement rear differential covers are available for Toyotas from the aftermarket. They are made of a thicker gauge metal, and cost significantly less than a used rear axle housing.
After speaking with Danbury Auto Spring & Welding initially, and setting up an appointment, they were able to remove the old differential cover from the rear axle, weld the new one on, apply paint/rust coating, and fill it with new gear oil. The repair was completed in a timely manner, and for a reasonable price.
It has now been more than 500 miles driven post the repair, and there are no issues. We are very satisfied with the work from Danbury Auto Spring & Welding, and highly recommend them!
The sway bar mounting brackets on my Escalade broke due to rust. These guys repaired them with precision. No other welding shop would do it. Hands down the best in CT. They go above and beyond for their customers, and their work is incredibly good. I will continue to use them for all my welding/suspension needs.
Had a busted leaf spring on my 30ft travel trailer. They took it in and had it replaced quickly. Even backed my camper in for me. Friendly service and a fair price. Would definitely use them again
These guys are the real deal! Very reasonably priced great service and expertise! The best of the best in their feild! Highly recommend! I got heavy duty leaf springs suspension installed and now it even rides better with much more heavier-duty leaf springs!
Cannot say enough great things about this place, had just bought a new to me Jeep, it needed a lot of work but Ed assured me they could take care of it. Brought it in for all new front end parts, brakes, rotors, steering parts, u joints, etc. As well as minor frame repairs. Got the Jeep back in 2 days, drives straighter then some of my newer cars. Awesome job will keep going back, stand up old school shop not many of them around still.
I’ve lived in this area my whole life and Danbury Auto Spring is the only shop in the greater Danbury area I’ve had a good experience with working on my class 8 semis as well as my F250. The work is always spot on . They realize you’re running a business and do their best for a reasonable turn around time on the job.
If the schedule’s booked and Ed can’t work on my equipment I’d rather tow it 300+ miles to the next comparable shop in Milesburg PA, which I’ve done before. So let that be a testament to the great work they do here.
Brought in my mower deck to have a bracket welded back onto the deck . I wasn't sure they did small jobs like this but they took it right in it was ready on time the next afternoon and the price was very fair. The staff were extremely polite and even loaded the deck into my truck for me while I was paying the bill . Hunter did an excellent job on the welding. Will be using them again when I need something welded
I took my Rv in for an alignment because I had gotten new tires. The owner told me that everything was to spec and the vehicle didn’t need an alignment. Since I was there I needed some welding done on my hitch that carries my motorcycle. The workmanship was excellent and everyone was extremely pleasant and looking to do the job exactly right.
My best automotive experience ever. Being in my 60s I think that says a lot.
Not happy at all with the service or the work that was done. I dropped my stuff off one morning and was told it would be ready later that day. When I called that day, they said it would be done first thing the next morning. When I called the next day, I was told it would take another day. After the third day when I called, I was told they would check and call back. Not sure if they forgot to check but they never called back. Finally, it was ready, and I picked up my parts. When I got home to install the parts I found some of the components bent and one screw completely ruined delaying the whole process. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!
I had a broken leaf spring in my Nissan frontier. I called these guys and they got me in quickly (next day) and fixed it. Much cheaper than the dealer and I would rather give the $ to the local business man.

Needed the plow for my garden tractor welded, very small job but it is a heavily built unit & had to be done right. Dropped off & picked up the next day, professionally & neatly welded for a reasonable price. They are my go-to outfit: Courteous, professional & proficient.
They were able to do an auto weld that other auto welding shops would not go near. Did a custom job. Superb quality and a more then reasonable price. Highly recommend.
Must make initial appointment for them to inspect the damage, then an appointment to get the welding done. The did this within the same week for me. They also did the job on my car quickly (2 hours), and for a reasonable price. I was treated well by everyone I talked to there.
I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. The only thing I can think of is that the definition of "customer focused" has changed over the years and the expectation now is that you cater to someone's every whim or you get a bad review. I needed new u-bolts for my old truck. They made them up for me quickly, for a fair price, and without a lot of BS. That is more than good enough for me.
This is the worst auto/truck service. Kept my truck for over 2 weeks without getting an estimate., then said they negotiated deal with insurance, but did not honor it. They held my truck hostage until I paid more than the agreed upon insurance estimate. Their work was poor, putting it mildly! It was incomplete and installed incorrectly. What they tried to fix, broke on the way out of the garage. They are truly incompetent.They are big ripoff.
