I never expected to write a five-star review for an auto shop, but here we are; Ken went above and beyond to walk me through everything my 2013 Crosstrek needed. He took the time to explain each step in detail before starting any work, even sending photos to help me clearly understand what he was describing. Throughout the entire process, their team kept an open line of communication and regularly updated me on progress, which made everything feel transparent and stress-free. At checkout, Ken again reviewed all the work completed and provided a detailed quote and timeline to help me plan and budget for future maintenance. Every interaction was professional, transparent, and genuinely pleasant. Ken’s care and communication made me feel confident in my decisions and earned my trust. I’m truly impressed by the team’s welcoming atmostphere, customer service and outstanding communication. Highly recommend!!

Been bringing my Subaru Impreza here for the last decade and almost 100k miles worth of maintenance (they even did my leaky EJ25 headgaskets when it was time!). These guys are the best and know Subarus like no other. Andy is the man and will take the time to personally explain any big repairs we've had to do. Ken & the rest of the team are great with communication. Ken even helped me choose a set of tires for my summer set, providing me with a few different options in my price range, as well as helped me find a new (used) exhaust to replace my holy moly one. Can't recommend this crew enough if you're a Subaru owner!

Had my front brake pads & rotors replaced here, along with a winter tire installation on my VW Tiguan. They were very communicative & I felt comfortable with the entire process. My lack of car knowledge has been taken advantage of many times before, but not at this shop, and I greatly appreciate that. They listen to my worries and accommodate them very well. I plan on using them for anything else car-related. Highly recommend. Great people.

This was back in 2019 but they put a new turbo in my legacy gt and I drove it all the way back to PA right after with no issues. Thank you for that.

Incredible auto shop! Came in from Texas and after a long 12hr drive, the brakes started to squeal and was evident that they needed to be serviced. This shop is normally an auto shop for Subarus but we’re kind enough to hear our situation(being out of town) and answer the call to help. I have a Ford F-150 and they were able to get the brakes replaced and the truck back to us the same day! Reasonable prices and fantastic service. Highly recommend this spot for anyone in need of auto service.

Andy & Katrina were life savers (literally). We drove up to Breck for a little vacation and my old Honda CRV was driving really funny. There was a bunch of rattling underneath. I was really worried about trying to drive it home, but we didn't think we'd find anyone to look at it on such short notice. Thankfully, (even though they specialize in Subarus), Andy agreed to look at it the very next day. He took it for a test drive and figured out the problem right away. It was serious and dangerous to drive it home like that. The front axle, ball joints, and rocker arms had to be replaced. 😱 He kept it overnight (waiting for parts) and it was ready by noon the next day as promised. The price was very reasonable and the customer service was top-notch. Andy operates his business with honesty and integrity, which is rare when it comes to many auto mechanics we have dealt with in the past. I highly recommend Breck Subi! We are thankful we found them!

They could have taken my money, but we're honest and recommended another shop to get me exactly what I wanted. Super friendly and accommodating. These are my go to guys for Subaru repair in Summit County.

After a terrible experience at another shop, I had one of the best service experiences that I've ever had at Breck Subie. Ken listened to my concerns about lagging pre-collision braking performance. He explained everything that they could and did do to investigate, diagnose (above & beyond reading codes that did not pick up the problem), and address it. I was kept in the loop throughout the process. I'd also mentioned an issue w/finding a bike rack that did not sit at the level of the exhaust pipe, which put the rack & my bikes at risk. After looking into adding a diverter and learning that it was not an option, they took measurements and did research so that Ken could make recommendations for bike racks for me. Everyone there was awesome...And when I went to pay my bill; I was shocked. It was so reasonable ~ I HIGHLY recommend Breck Subie!

Ken was very knowledgeable and let me know exactly what the issue was with the front control arms. He let me know that I could wait awhile because the bushings weren't in horrible shape. I decided to go ahead with the replacement and they had the car ready within the time quoted. Fairly priced, friendly and professional. They won a new customer and I found a great mechanic to take my car to. Thank you Breck Subie!

I recently had my car serviced and had the absolute pleasure of working with Ken, who personally handled everything from start to finish. From our first phone call, he remembered even the smallest details and made me feel like more than just another customer—he even remembered my name when I called back, which really stood out to me. Ken made sure to verbally confirm all work before it was done, was completely transparent about pricing, and took the time to build trust by walking me through a thoughtful plan of action for my vehicle. His professionalism and genuine care were clear every step of the way. A big thank you as well to Erik, who went out of his way to squeeze in my car and performed excellent, trustworthy service. He gave me honest, straightforward feedback about the state of my vehicle, which I truly appreciated. He texted me photos and a video of the issue as he was working on it which is really above and beyond. This kind of honesty, reliability, and personal attention is rare to find. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be returning for future service.

Great spot for car repairs! Make sure to call to schedule and appointmen, they do not do walk ins. The staff is super helpful and takes the time to break things down so you actually understand what’s going on. They work quickly and do an awesome job. Ken at the front desk was especially friendly and and was very helpful.

Ken's customer communication is at a high level. Ken's team replaced the timing belt, water pump, radiator, etc... on my Toyota Sequoia. I typically complete my own auto repairs, but I didn't have time to compete this job. Breck Subie gave me the option to purchase my own parts. I am familiar with labor and parts values, and Breck Subie was 100% honest in both categories. Professional Shop.

Ken and Eric were great! Very straightforward and honest. My car needed an O2 sensor and a air intake cleaning. It was all finished up within 2 days. Great team of people!

I've been to this mechanic in Breckenridge multiple times, and every experience has been positive. The service is always friendly, and I’ve never felt taken advantage of. For example, when my AC went out, it turned out to be a simple fix—a broken magnet. They had it repaired and my car back to me the same day. More recently, my engine was overheating. Chris, the mechanic, first topped off the fluids, then bled the coolant lines—something a different shop had skipped. He even took the time to drive the car and thoroughly check for any other issues. In the end, no further problems were found, and the car was running great. I felt like he put in more effort than the hour of labor I was charged for. Highly recommend for their great service and honest approach.

Breck Subie Shop might have ‘Subie’ in the name, but don’t be fooled—this place is where good Subarus go to die. I brought my car in for what should’ve been a simple repair, and not only did they misdiagnose the issue, but they also charged me for unnecessary work that didn’t fix the original problem. When I brought the car back, they seemed annoyed that I dared question their ‘expertise’ and insisted it was something new entirely (conveniently, at a much higher cost). Their communication is terrible—expect to chase them down for updates—and the shop feels like it’s more focused on upselling services than actually fixing your car. If you care about your car (and your wallet), avoid this place at all costs. I trusted them because they’re supposed to be Subaru specialists, but honestly, they made me regret ever owning one in the first place.

Huge thank you to the fine people at Breck Subie shop for saving me while I was on vacation! After I got ripped off by another shop I won't name here Breck Subie saved the day and was able to get me taken care of during a little bit of spare time at the end of their day. Their service was exactly as I'd hope and it was easy to deal with their front desk. Happy to say the only thing I'd change is I couldn't get one of their cool stickers 😂

Best car repair experience EVER as a single woman! I thought I had an issue with my gas gauge and mileage and when thoroughly checked out Ken told me my car is performing well and there were no issues that could be found. I wasn't even charged a diagnostic fee. Honesty and integrity matter in the car biz and this is the best car repair experience I've ever had with my 2012 Subaru Outback! Found my home for Subaru repairs in the future, highly recommend!

When you are on vacation, one of the last things you want is to have to go to a repair shop to fix a minor or major problem with your car and looking for a place to get it done. But when you do, it is nice to have clear and precise advice without feeling like you are overcharging for repairs. An air conditioning problem that brought us to see them before we returned to Canada was fixed, as was a brake light problem (they even fixed a squeaky door that was annoying us, but that we had never fixed… for free). Don’t be fooled by the general appearance of the garage… probably an indication that the money is going to the right place.

This was the best broken car experience I've ever had ! I live in PA but my son has my car in CO. I needed $5K of repairs on my Subaru and was very nervous since it was alot of money and I had no experience with this shop and I live so far away. Over a 2 week period of time, I had numerous conversations with Eric, Andy and Katrina and although I know they were very busy, they were all very patient and kind in answering all my questions and making me feel very comfortable with agreeing to have them do the repairs. Andy texted me with frequent updates. I couldn't have asked for better customer service - good people. Highly recommend Breck Subie!

I’ve been going to Breck Subi for a few years now and they’ve been great each and every time. Katrina at the front desk is a great addition to the shop and is always welcoming, personable, and attentive. Andy has been kind enough to take the time to explain any issues about my car with me when needed. I would recommend for anyone who has a Subaru to come see these folks!

One of the best service experiences we've had! Our Forester was smoking after some trail driving, so we called Breck Subie. Even despite how busy they were, they got us in to take a look. Andy identified the issue and got us rolling again that day, completely saving our vacation! Everyone in the shop was kind and friendly, and Andy talked us through the issue, really alleviating our stress. We only wish that this shop was closer to our home in Denver, otherwise we'd come here all the time! Would highly recommend!

Great service at a fair price. I’ve had a few of my Subies worked on by Andy and his team and they always go above and beyond. They’ve helped me out many times over the years - from simple oil changes to clutches to head gaskets to installing an after-market hitch on my newest addition - always happy and satisfied with the service and results.

This is absolutely the place to get your Subaru serviced or fixed up if you live in summit county or anywhere nearby. The group of guys that works there is amazing and they do great work. I brought my Forester in a few weeks ago because I needed some work done on it. There was a large storm rolling in as I dropped off my car and they worked hard through the storm in order to make sure I got my car back as quickly as possible. The storm impacted the shipping times for some of the parts that I needed and they kept me updated and well informed the whole time. They even offered to come in on a day when the shop is usually closed in order to get me my car ASAP. Also, they saved me several thousand dollars by finding an issue that had just popped up before it would have likely caused me to need a new engine. These guys are hard working, kind, honest, and intelligent. Go support a local business and forget about the Subaru dealership, that place is a ripoff and you’re much better off bringing your car to a shop where you’re treated like a real person.

Yes, it’s half-hidden behind a liquor store and it’s also a great Subaru repair shop in Breckenridge. My Crosstrek was sounding strange and getting bad gas mileage so I made an apointment and dropped off my car with Roger and went skiing. He called me after the technicians pin-pointed the problem with an estimate and by time I was off the mountain my car was fixed. He gave me some extra tips about how to maintain and operate my car at high altitudes, and how to make adjustments going back down to lower levels. Great service!

These guys are incredible. We spun out in a snow storm in Summit county and damaged something in the front end of the car so we could no longer steer the car. We asked the tow truck driver from AAA to bring us to Silverthorne Subaru. He recommended taking it to Breck Subie Shop in Breckenridge. He said they were much better and would get the job done much faster. I took his recommendation and we left the car there overnight with a note and called them in the morning. They were able to get the repair done by 12:30 the same day which saved us from getting a ride back to Denver and having to get a rental car. And the repair that I expected to be north of $1000 was only about $450. They were extremely prompt, precise and affordable. I am so thankful to the tow truck driver Brandon, from Ryan's towing for the job he did and for recommending Breck Subie.

Love the Breck Subie Shop! They are always friendly, professional and do excellent work! I've been going to them for over a year and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I feel like I'm droping my car off at a physical therapist and day spa all at once when I leave it in their care. Thank you Breck Subie Shop!

Andy drove by and saw us struggling with a roadside emergency. I hadn't called him, but he pulled over and helped us out of a big mess anyways. If I ever have another roadside emergency in the area, I won't hesitate to make life easier on myself and call Breck Subie. Thanks again Andy!
