Ed is a standup guy! Very knowledgeable. I purchased a boat from him and he took me to the lake close to his shop and gave me a run down on the boat and showed me how to properly operate it. It’s my first boat so he basically gave me a boat education/safety course before giving me the keys. He also guarantees his work so I will definitely go back to him if I ever need to buy another boat.

Ed replaced the entire out drive of my boat in less than an hour. As he did the work he showed me and assured me of the quality of the replacement drive. He carefully checked to ensure the seals were functioning and the oil was at the proper level. He then explained how to care for the outdrive The job was done with no flaws or hic-ups. He also straightened out the prop and gave great advice about proper prop size. I had a minor electrical problem which he solved in minutes. Finally he lifted the trailer to check the axel and wheels to ensure the trailer was functioning. The boat worked perfectly at Blue Mesa Reservoir the next weekend. The cost was very reasonable and well worth it. I enjoyed talking "boats" with him. Ed is a national treasure in the boat salvage world.

Ed had some trailers posted for sale and gave him a call. Eventhough it was Sunday and closed for business, Ed returned my call and allowed me to see the trailers. After determining that these trailers would not fit my need he suggested another trailer that still had a boat on it. Ed moved the boat off the trailer and we conducted a thorough inspection of the trailer. We settled on a price which was more than fair (no nego req'd). Ed stated that if I had any breakdowns on my way home he would come get me and guarrantee a refund if the trailer had issues along the way. Ed has been great to work with. We have bought different parts from him at a great price. He is helpful and knowledgeable about boats. One time we called him from the lake with an issue with our boat. After explaining the problems with the boat he was able to tell us how to fix it to at least get us through the weekend. He is always willing to spend whatever time is needed to answer all our questions. It is always a pleasure to visit his business. And his prices are extremely reasonable.

I was converting a rope pull to an electric start, on a 1985 Johnson 30 HP outboard, and had run aground with the project. I called Ed to see if he had anything that might help. After carefully listening to my situation, he determined that I had all the right parts; and, rather than simply trying to sell me a new part, he talked me through the steps needed to make the starter work with everything I already had. Because of his help, over the phone, the motor starts and runs like new! For the time, patience and expertise he showed me, Ed at Ed's Boat Yard, in Pueblo, has earned a loyal customer ... before I ever gave him any money!!!

I had been looking for a couple pieces. Gear box bearing and a shift dog cradle for my 1966 ski twin 35hp. I searched online for a good two weeks with no avail. I went to my local boat shop and they said they couldn't even order it but sent me to Ed. I gave him a call and he said he had the parts. I was hesitant as I live in the springs but I made the 2 hour journey. Once I got there I was greeted with a smiling face. I showed him my broken parts and he once again smiled and led me to his parts shed where he pulled out the exact parts I needed without needing to search. He even inspected the components to find the ones in the best shape. When i asked how much he wanted I was appalled at how cheap he was going to sell me these rare parts. I was expecting to pay a lot more but he wasn't going to gouge me one bit. I asked him about some other issues for my motor and he gave me the information I needed without missing a beat. As a korean man I've met my share of prejudice in small towns. As such I was a bit apprehensive but meeting Ed I realized he had no such prejudice. In fact I felt ashamed that I had such thoughts as this man was kind, knowledgeable beyond measure, and treated me and my girlfriend with the utmost respect and courtesy. He even walked me through fixing my lower end with small bits of wisdom that really helped me while doing the job. Once i got home i was able to fix the problem with no issues due to his willingness to share his knowledge. If you ask me, there is no one else to go to for this kind of thing. His yard is full of every kind of motor from every decade. I will gladly make the journey to his shop again and again if i need anything for my boat.

Highly recommend! I needed an entire lower unit. I left a message and he called right back. He said he had 2 that might fit. I showed up and we found 1 that looked like an exact match. We checked the bolt pattern and the drive shaft splines, he pressure checked the seals, and it was all perfect! On top of that, it was half the price of the cheapest option on eBay. And I can't check bolt patterns or splines myself on eBay! I could have been in and out in 30 minutes. But I started asking Ed questions and talked to him for about 1 hour getting tips for my project boat.

ED went ABOVE & BEYOND to make sure that our negotiation and sale of a trailer was legit, precise, on time and safe. I am travelling to Florida with a trailer, he did everything he could to make sure I was safe for long distance and happy with my purchase. Im more than pleased with my new trailer and his honesty. Ed is very knowledgable about boats of all sorts. If he dont know or cant figure it out, neither should you! This guy is a GURU of boats! Also he has access to all kinds of boats because he probably has 2! Great guy! Just dont screw with him!

He was very helpful with not only having the parts we needed but even gave some knowledge on the project we had going. Really appreciate him taking the time to help us out! Very rude man, only wants to sell boats not parts so dont bother very rude and almost seems racist , absolutely will be contacting Better Business Bureau . He was very up set I drove 2hrs for a small part even though we had spoken before hand, doesn't have time to waste selling little parts according to him . Please dont wast your time here

Ed is very rude and disrespectful. He told us we ain’t nothing but a waste of time coming to buy a steering cable. He said people who come to buy $20 parts are not worth his time. He has much more important stuff to do. Also he said he is closed for the next few months so don’t bother going to see him. We even called ahead of time to make sure they where there and open before we made an hour trip to him. He told us he gets boats for free and fixes them and turns around and sells them for like $5000 so think about that before buying stuff from him. We will never go back.

I was in need of a cylinder head for my Mercury 3.0 MerCruiser and Ed was kind enough to let me rummage through his stock. Has plenty of parts and knowledge I'm sure he will get you what you need. Thank you Ed
