The Bible teaches us that God puts angels and people along our path to watch over us and help us when in need. On September 8th, we departed Fort Worth, Texas to begin our "Bucket List" journey to Glacier National Park, Seattle, down the west coast and back home via the Grand Canyon in our Class A Motorhome. Well, it looked like our trip was going to end only after reaching Raton, New Mexico when our Caterpillar C7 diesel pusher started smoking and ejected a fire ball out of the exhaust. This video is worth a thousand words. I thought I blew the engine! Various people had recommended Paul at M & M Repair and Towing in Trinidad, Colorado. Paul was very knowledgeable, efficient, and most of all HONEST in his assessment of the issues with the engine. He communicated in layman terms. He could have charged us to replace the injectors, but recommended that we only needed to replace the O-Rings on the two injectors which were torn up because our previous mechanic did not torque the injectors tight enough resulting in dumping diesel fuel into the cylinders. He had us up and running in no time. Paul, his wife Christine and the entire crew did a "10 STAR" job in assisting us when we thought our trip was at an end before it even started. We got home a few days ago; 7 weeks and 4000 miles later our RV performed without flaw and has performed the best it ever has in the 4 years we have owned it.... Thanks to yall. GOD BLESS!

I had the unfortunate adventure yesterday of hitting a deer on I25 N right as I was entering Raton. Because of the time and my location, I was having a hard time finding a tow company that could help me get back on the road on my trip to Denver. USAA made some calls, and before I knew it I had Christine from M&M on the other line, who had a tow headed my way. They had a driver at my location in about 45 minutes, which was basically no time at all since M&M is located about 30 miles from where the accident occurred. Once I got to M&M, Christine was so friendly and helpful. She got me in touch with someone who could take me into Pueblo so I could get my rental and get back on the road. Every person from M&M that helped me was professional, and very kind and helpful. During super stressful and unexpected situations such as mine, it is so nice to be able to count on good people and good companies like M&M.

Paul came out to our broken down motorhome on September 30, 2025. He performed a diagnosis of the issue with the EGR valve and de-rated engine power. He found two things...the crankcase breather system was blocked and the EGR valve was not getting voltage. After i replaced the breather filter, we took this information and were able to drive the coach back north to a Freightliner/Cummins dealer in Fountain, CO. They found that the EGR sensor and the wire leading to the EGR were intermittent. All fixed after SIX years of Cummins and Freightliner techs replacing parts over and over! Paul figured out, in 30 minutes, what the "certified" Cummins techs couldn't do in six years. If you have any issues near or in Trinidad, CO we HIGHLY Recommend M&M Repair and Towing. Called to see how much it would be to get spring bushings replaced. Was wanting to pay, as soon as I mentioned we were a donation based roadside that helped people, I was hung up on. Very unprofessional and rude

We had a brake caliper fall off and damage our rear brake line and tire on our big trailer while traveling across the country with horses. Keith from M&M came out as soon as he could and got us taken care of so we weren’t stranded with our horses. The whole staff was super nice when calling, and they had us send pictures to make sure they were able to help us. Overall very thankful for their help and expertise. Keith saved the day!

Broke down on i25 brought it to the shop had me in an out back on the road in no time all the guys where freindly all around great job 10 outta 10 recommend

I absolutely hate that I don’t know our drivers name but he was fantastic. He arrived so fast yesterday and was so professional and courteous. He towed us a wild- 200 miles to our preferred dealership, with our dog in tow, AND when he found a problem with his truck he immediately stopped and had the company quickly deliver another one for the remainder of our journey. It was an adventure for sure, but I cannot complain because this service was fast, thoughtful, and all around awesome. Especially considering we were kind of in the middle of nowhere on the highway wanting to go a long distance. I cannot say enough this service is worth every penny and they were the most affordable we found! By like 300$. Small things like kindness and courteousness go such a long way. Thank you so much m and m and thank you to our sweet driver!!:)))

We had a blown out tire between Raton and Trinidad, CO. This tow truck was very quick to respond. The driver (Jordan) even drove us all the way to Pueblo so we could get the tire replaced. It was late on a Sunday and we were so grateful Jordan went above and beyond to help us! THANK YOU M&M Towing!!!

I was stranded in Trinidad during a TX -> CO trip for a couple days due to a starter issue on my Land Cruiser. My insurance company contracted with these guys to do the towing and then I made arrangements with them to do the repair. They were all wonderful people and were willing to allow me to have the starter shipped in overnight and install it for me so I could get back on the road. They provided me with a ride to and from the hotel as well due to the lack of Uber in Trinidad.

I recently had to get my big dually truck towed, and these folks really came through for me. From the moment I called, they were friendly, professional, and super easy to work with. The driver showed up on time and handled everything with care, making sure my truck was loaded and secured properly. You could tell they knew what they were doing and took pride in their work. What really stood out to me was how respectful and considerate they were-not just toward me, but toward my vehicle as well. They made what could have been a stressful situation feel smooth and stress-free. I really appreciated their attitude and the quality of their service. Definitely a company I'd trust again and recommend to anyone needing a tow.

Had a brake chamber leaking air. Went to multiple places who didn’t have that particular brake chamber because apparently it’s a rare part. I was referred to M and M by Martin at the TA in springer, NM. Keith the Mechanic came in minutes and replaced it quick and efficient. It worked out great too because they’re located by the Trinidad port of entry weigh station, five minutes from Exxon truck stop. They met me there too to do the repair which was accommodating. So if coming from the south and something needs repairs and/or parts, they’re available and have a wide selection of parts. Prices are reasonable for the services provided.

After having some mechanical issues while driving home to Canada, we called this shop and our bus got in to them right away. They even helped us figure out food and hotels as we weren’t familiar with the area. Thank you for all your hard and efficient work on our bus and for getting us on the road again! So far this has been the most nightmarish experience I've ever had at any mechanic shop ever. Broke down outside Trinidad in October and being from Denver I didn't really have any knowledge of of quality diesel mechanics in the area. A few folks recommended this shop as they had the "quickest" turn around time out of any of the mechanics in the area. Originally when I contacted them 2 weeks from the next available time slot is what I was told. Okay not a big deal as every other shop was double that. 2 weeks slowly snowballed into months. My truck has been here for 3 months! Recently I was called and told my truck had been serviced and was ready for pick up. I was even told the tech that had worked on it drove it around and said it was good to go. So I made the 6+ hr round trip to Trinidad to pick up my truck. Even called ahead to let them know when I was on my way and was assured someone would get my truck jumped and running, as the temps have been super low and it hadn't been properly driven in some time. Upon arrival neither of those things were done waited around for 2.5 hrs to see if the mechanic could get it running but ultimately was told another issue had arisen and that I would have to leave the truck there (after paying nearly $1000 for what they did fix). Ultimately I would've been way better off having any other mechanic in the Trinidad area help me out here as the time my truck has been here has out numbered any of the previous quotes I got for service to begin with! I have been more than patient haven't been bugging or repeatedly calling as I get things happen and sometimes things don't go as you expect. But the overall lack of communication and honesty has been very frustrating. There are some very nice individuals that work for the company that have been very polite and to a certain degree helpful, but this overall experience has been terrible. I'm praying for the call I can pick up my truck and just put this in the past...

We got a tow from m&m first thing on a Saturday morning after being stuck on the side of the highway after our travel trailer broke down on day 1 of a 21 day road trip. The owner was the one who towed us and he was beyond kind. Recommended us to a great repair shop and to a few restaurants and trails in town to help us kill time while stuck for a few days. Great family owned small business, cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you so much again, I hope you & your family have a great holiday season.

These people were amazing! Our truck broke down headed up Raton pass, as we were headed to Mexico. We were pulling a supply trailer also. They responded right away, with one truck to bring in our camper truck, and another to pull our trailer. The tow people were super nice and really knew what they were doing. Back at the shop, Chris dropped everything to work on our truck, quickly found the problem and replaced the fuel pump. He also resolved a couple other minor issues that had been causing problems. Five hours after our call for help, we were on our way! We were shocked at the bill, because it was so MUCH LESS than we anticipated. This business is awesome!

While l'd like to say there are some good people in this company, my experience was overwhelmingly negative. Every interaction had was met with attitude, making an already frustrating situation worse. This company feels like an absolute cash grab. I could have blown my motor for less than what they charged to get me unstuck. To make matters worse, it seems they have a cozy relationship with the sheriff's office, as this is the first company they recommend in such situations. Almost every other company I contacted quoted hundreds less and provided far better customer care. The final straw was being asked if knew anyone with a credit card after hearing their outrageous quote. Save your time and money-look elsewhere.

I drive a semi through trinidad regularly. M&M has been very reliable for roadside assistance and the people that work there are very helpful/friendly. Monday, I saw them out over Raton Pass during the snow storm while they were assisting law enforcement to help stuck vehicles and all. Firsthand, I even saw them to whatever extent help others without charging them money just to get the traffic through the storm safely (such as with towing). They've got a good team there. It isn't every business that will just help others out like that even though they need to be out making money. I recommend them. Sometimes businesses are good in ways people don't hear about.

M&M towing was called by my roadside assistance to help tow my troubled car to a Toyota dealership. They were prompt to call me and had great communication. JR arrived quickly, was kind, professional, respectful and loaded my car quickly! Would recommend calling them to help you if needed.

Our rig broke down entering Trinidad, CO. We immediately looked up a 24hr service and M&M was the first one our Garmin gps gave us, let’s just say you guys were such a blessing to work with!! Professional, efficient and absolutely reliable!! Christine kept us up to date on our search for the part we needed and everyone tried helping us find it. Keith was so knowledgeable and such a sweet man! Everyone gave us comfort in this new journey we’ve embarked in and kept us positive to keep going! My husband called them as soon as our part arrived to our destination and Keith went out as soon as he could to get us up and running! I would recommend them over and over again!! TRUST, INTEGRITY, RELIABILITY are the three key words in choosing a reputable business. Several years ago, I broke down and chose M&M off of the internet. As a long-haul trucker, I don't always come through Trinidad but they came out and fixed my issue. Now, a few years later, I have another issue and they were my first call. Everyone here gives you a family feel. They fixed my truck for about half the cost of what I was expecting and half the time expected. I need more work done and am returning to Trinidad for this company as I TRUST their workmanship, INTEGRITY in billing, and RELIABILITY of using the correct part to do the job right the first time.

Our RV broke down in Trinidad. We were referred to M & M and are so glad. They worked us in, diagnosed the problem and had our RV fixed and back on the road in record time. Chris was especially helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant and fun to work with. We can't say enough great things about this business and all of the great people who work there. Thank you!

I recently used M&M towing services for my son who had car trouble on a long drive home from college. My insurance roadside service told me nobody was available to tow his vehicle for 5 hours. I called Christine and she went above and beyond to find a driver to tow my son’s vehicle and get him off the highway. The driver dropped him off at his hotel and also went back to the yard later that evening (Saturday) to let him and my wife retrieve his belongings. My wife and I are truly grateful for their exceptional customer service. It truly gave us peace of mind that our son was taken care of as we were two states away at the time. Used the tow service today as I had broken down in Walsenburg at the Love's.. my Freightliner had developed a bad wobble in the harmonic balancer as well as a coolant leak.. I had to wait about 4 hours because they were on another tow call but once they arrived they had me hooked up in no time and towed it to the Trans West in Fountain.. no complaints other than the wait which I understand..

I have had the pleasure of utilizing the M&M services on few occasions. Paul and the team are always very professional and responsive. On one occasion my F350 super duty ranch and water truck required towing and new starter installed. They picked up the truck from my house within one hour and had a new starter installed within a day. Today i discovered my 40’ motor home with a flat on the rear duel tire. Tire was off the bead. I called and in less than a hour Keith was on site and professionally and rapidly had the tire repaired at a very reasonable price. I am located at remote location in Del Auga Canyon but that didn’t matter to the M&M team. Being a family owned business with great ties to the community makes doing business with them even better. They’re always awesome customer service and support is amazing and something that is harder and harder to find these days. Highly recommend M&M for any and all your automotive repair needs.
