What a friendly, courteous and professional service! I had to have a 2023 Grand Wagoneer (my baby!) towed from Lake City to Durango, CO. From the initial contact with Josh I knew my ride would be in good hands. Edgar, the driver, was SUPER! It was raining/snowing when Edgar arrived but he didn't flinch in the nasty weather. He quickly evaluated our somewhat tricky drive and then went straight to work, taking excellent care in loading and securing my ride. A big thumbs up to the service, Edgar you are great!
Emergency towing is something you always hope you won’t need but Josh at Gunnison Towing made what could have been a nightmare process as smooth and efficient as possible. His honest and clear communication were refreshing to work with and his expertise really shows in his work. He has a great team and the equipment to get any job done, no matter the situation you might find yourself in. My husband and I really appreciate his candidness and willingness to help. If you find yourself in a bind, we couldn’t recommend him enough.

Wonderful service from Gunnison Towing today! My car "died" as I was heading to my son's for Christmas. Josh had his tow truck out to me with in 15 minutes. Got stuck in deep mud at blue mesa and Edgar showed up in the yellow wrecker and got the job done in 5 minutes. Communication was easy and clear and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend!

On our way home to Texas from Crested Butte, passing through Gunnison, my brother decided to do me a solid—by pumping 20 gallons of gasoline into my Powerstroke diesel. On a Saturday. With a bed full of dirt bikes and gear. Needless to say, we were in a serious jam.
We got Josh’s number from the local Ace Hardware, gave him a call, and explained the situation. Without hesitation, he said he could fix it and get us back on the road that same day. Within 5–10 minutes, Josh showed up with a flatbed, towed the truck to his shop, and got to work. In just 4–5 hours he pumped out all the gas, flushed the fuel lines and injectors, and replaced both fuel filters/water separator.
By the end of the day, the truck was running perfectly—and it made the 1,100-mile trip back to Texas without a single issue. It was a great test of my anger management skills, but my brother and I are still on speaking terms.
Josh was an absolute lifesaver. I honestly can’t imagine a better outcome given the circumstances. If this had happened in Houston, we’d likely be looking at two days minimum for the same repair.

Small town love! We had a very unfortunate incident with our only key fob getting auto- flushed. We scrabbled to find a locksmith, all closed for the weekend and found Josh who opened our vehicle twice because we immediately shut the door and d it autlocked! Josh was prompt and saved us again helping with a rental car to drive to Denver and back for our spare key. I can't recommend him enough! Genuinely great guy.
Got to me in less than an hour. Had to be towed back to Grand Junction. The owner told me to reach out to the dealer as my motor might be covered under a recall. And it is!!! 100% new engine! Great group of people.
Extremely professional and knowledgeable people. I had them tow my plow truck that wasn’t working. They also fixed it. All work was done at more than a reasonable and fair price. I highly recommend them.
Thier driver Jeff picked us up on HWY 50 with my jeep overheating, took the time to take a quick peek at it once we got into town and drove us to the parts store to get more coolant....offered some great advice on life and introduced us to some great people in Gunnison
Very helpful auto service. My car was having trouble starting and they were able to help right away. Two other shops in town said they could not get me in for 1-2 weeks. I’m visiting from out of town for a few days and waiting a week was not a good option.

I was in a really REALLY tough spot out in Crusted Butte (left my keys in a friends car who was long gone by the time I realized). I live in Grand Junction and my friends went to Denver. Josh at Gunnison Towing picked up my tow request and went out of his way to walk through logistics, what options they could offer me, and make sure I got the best $priced deal he could offer. I was so SO thankful to have gotten Josh and could not speak higher of him, his kindness, and services!!!
Got locked out of my car in a commercial parking lot. Two guys with Gunnison towing were very responsive to my claim through my insurance for roadside assistance. They were super super communicative, came right away and unlocked my car in under two minutes. Amazing service!
Went off the road between Mt. Crested Butte and Crested Butte, at night, in the snow, in freezing temps and needed an extraction (way more than a simple tow). Josh was so responsive, helpful, professional and super fast in getting the car back on the road! Josh even helped with tips for booking alternate transportation. 100% recommend for tow/extraction services.
Cody for the win! When leaving for the airport, my husband & I had a surprise flat tire on a rented jeep that didn’t have the tool needed to unlock the spare on the back (boo, Budget). Cody raced over, picked up the necessary tool on the way, unlocked & changed the tire & got us on the road in about 10 minutes. We made our flight! Thanks again, Cody! You’re wonderful!
I got pretty stuck in a ditch and needed to be winched out since my buddies truck couldn’t do it. It was pretty late in the evening when I rang up triple cross and they still got someone out there right away. It was a difficult winch but got my car out without any damage. Definitely a great service, and a much better price than most of the other companies around. The whole crew is reasonable and does their best to get you in and out as fast as possible. Highly recommend!
This is an amazing business and I am so grateful to them. I was stranded in Lake City with no car key(marmots got it) my car parked 10 miles up a rough rode, my spare key 6 hours away in Denver. Tabitha responded to my desperate phone call right away. Cody was prompt as promised the next morning, and he took me all the way to my car at the trailhead. He even had to gerryrig my shift into neutral, because I had no key, and it needed to be in neutral for the tow. This young man was very smart, made pleasant conversation, and towed me and my car all the way to my home. This business totally saved the day for me, and I appreciate them so much!
This towing company is EXCEPTIONAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I had a dead battery and tried going through my insurance which ended up being a hassle. This company came out in fifteen minutes or less and jump started my car for a super cheap price in comparison to everyone else in town. He even directed me to a good place in town who can install the new battery. I’ll definitely be utilizing this company in the future for any issues I have.
Great communication, went above and beyond to not only help get our truck and trailer safely off the roadway but repaired the truck the same day. Saved us a ton of money, time, and the exhausting search of finding a garage capable of repairs. Also ordered some pizza to feed my hungry drivers definitely a five ⭐!!
I used the services of Triple Cross Towing and I was very impressed with the service I received. Very professional and honest, was able to get my disabled recreational vehicle out of a deep ugly canyon in short notice. Anyone needing tow service of any kind in the Gunnison area should give them a call!! Good hard working folks that will get your vehicle out of a tough spot when you need it!
These guys are great. Family folks doing a great job trying to earn a living. I came here for an oil change. I tried a couple of the well known oil change services in Gunnison, but was not able to get the service I needed. These guys got it done without waiting and for half the price. I would have gladly paid double for a service this good. They also do emergency repairs, towing, lockouts, etc. Highly recommended.
