Bad bad bad!!!! This guy pulled out in front of me when I was going 45 mph I had to veer into the left lane. Thank goodness there were no other cars. Then he flipped me off as if it were my fault. I have a dashcam and I’m reporting him to the police.
Called looking for a recycling center, got a 2 bit "we buy junk car, you got junk car for sale?" Not even sure Rohac Brothers was who answered as the guy never branded the call.
Rohac quoted me $150 - $200, explaining that steel prices are down compared to a year ago (when Rohac's was offering $300+ for similar cars). "$150 is the absolute minimum," he said, and he'd look all around the car for valuable items to try to raise the offer. "My competitors," he added, "will quote one price on the phone and then show up and offer less, saying something like 'If it had alloy wheels, I could give you more.'"
Rohac sent his son, who loaded the car and paid the minimum, explaining, "If it had alloy wheels, I could give you more."
Overall, it was fast, effortless, and cash for an immobile car. If there's a next time, I won't specifically seek out Rohac's, but I won't exclude them from the available options.
