Worthless place prices are wayyy lower then anywhere else and when you call to get pricing the people working don't even know what kind of wire your talking about and just give a general " wire runs .15 - 2.60 a pound answer" bring it in and we'll tell you.
I highly recommend Denver scrap. Pricing is among the highest paid per metal type, staff is always helpful, informative, approachable, and fun. I have been using them for a few years now and my favorite thing about them is the hours and weekend availability. Brian is awesome!! Heather, Stephanie, and the other ladies are awesome as well. Update: after a few recent changes to the management and staff, there has been a few changes to the yard in regards to the cleanliness of the dumping area, not as organized as it was a few months ago. The operating staff have lost a few people, but the ones that are there are the ones that make the place shine with perfessionalism, kindness, and knowledge of the services offered and what's rates of the accepted materials. Noemi, is one of the reasons why I have continued my patronage at this business. Heather has also been awesome in assisting me and my co workers whenever we are at the scale house, very knowledgeable about the rules and accepted materials.
I’ve always had a good experience at Denver Scrap Metal. The staff is knowledgeable, prices are fair, and they make the whole process quick and simple.
Complete honesty hands down this is the last place u should go to recycle anything but steel. They pay so much less than anywhere else that even if u clean your metals. You should clean metal wait a day or two and turn it in during week otherwise u will feel like u just got robbed for all your hard work. It's sad to say this but it's the truth I don't care what debt I have I just won't ever say I will pay u back tomorrow if it's the weekend because odds are u still won't get enough to pay your debt. I don't care I will not ever take anything there less it's steel and I'll make sure my steel is not clean because they deserve it. An don't bite on the rewards program it's just another scheme to make people thi k there getting somewhere with them and than they don't pay out anywhere to compensate there horrible take advantage of hard workers that keep them open day in and day out. This facility is the best in the State....as far as National....probably in the top 10...I would highly recommend this scrap yard to anyone who is looking for good quality service...how could anyone not expect good service here? Shorty...your the best....your enthusiasm and your awesome personality is what keeps me coming your way.....that and so much more...you guys keep the grounds clean and so far ive not gotten any flats from your yard...thats one good reason i dont go any place else....see you guys tomorrow and many more days to come. Scammers gave me 20 lbs for 175 lbs of aluminum. Also when most are 70 cents a lb you can bet these guys are half since they are open late. I'd save for better!
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I had 360 pounds of stainless steel and they gave me $21, which is less than 5 cents a pound!! This place will rip you off, don't ever go here!
Ive been to a couple of locations and this is by far the best location I have been too! they make sure to check everything so we are guaranteed to get our moneys worth not like other places! The ladies that work there are the sweetest and soo nice! I would definitely recommend coming to this place! AVOID GOING TO THE PLACE DOWN THE STREET!!!!
The two old guys who works the dock are very rude these guys give you the lowest grade and cheat you they mixed all my motherboard to low grade when I gave them high grade you need to higher better workers they also complain when you bring them metal because they are to lazy to lift it
I will never go here again! After the guy got done telling me I had the best metal thats possible to be brought there (clean copper) he tried to give me $.25 cents per pound! Ha! What a joke. That's $3 less a pound then surrounding metal recycling places. DONT GO HERE THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
there's a little taco place right across the street from Denver scrap metal. They just got their little taco place set up. It is fabulous. I swing in and got a hot taco and it's delicious.!
Very dishonest place with bad pricing and they la saying your metals wrong like trying to pay you regular price foe copper when you turn in bare bright and it should be more than copper that is clean but not bare bright. Or saying you have number 2 copper when it's number one coated. Just bad business if you ask me. They didn't donit ro me i watched them donit ro two customers in front of me and i left. Reviews matter
people. Don't rip us off. You lost my business that day and I have over 900 dollars in bare bright and coated wire. I took it to Denver Iron and Metals. That place was awesome with good prices.
They are the only scrap yard open after 430, that's the only reason i come here to get ripped off. So if I'm being forced to wait until tomorrow to turn my scrap in best believe, this is not where I'll be going because I'll have many more options that pay almost double.
WARNING: Do not I repeat do not bring your precious metal to this place!! There are so many better places that will give you top dollar for your precious metal. This place is a total rip-off!! I had about a good few $100 worth of copper and they gave me $54 for it. I couldn't even asked for my copper back if I wanted to. That is completely low to do something like that to somebody and they're lucky I don't call the better Business bureau and report them, as a matter of fact, I might!!!! I'm a very hardworking person and I don't have to steal anything from anybody. This is absolutely disgusting. SMH

Gonna take time on the consumer end to recycle material and prepare it, Then it makes sense to find a good place to sell it, It is much more cost effective to make phone calls and find out who is paying good and who is not. Fuel is expensive and time is money. You should consider that when people are calling you to find out information about your business
Clearly does not pay going rate or they would give prices in advance. They say to bring it in so they can lowball you. I’ve talked to many places over the years and giving a daily rate is the normal practice from everyone. I’d recommend going somewhere that’s upfront.
They paying you in dirt, bad attitude and dirty look. The staff doesn't know how much they're paying per ton or per pound. Per anything.. And when you call to ask how much they're paying, they throw you in a loop of different staff members who don't know a squat about anything. So they pass you around for an hour just to tell you they're paying far below the nearby competition. I forgot why I stopped coming here....
Highly recommend this scrapyard to be thee absolute LAST possible place for your business. I am not sure what to do about this but…

- 2nd trailer load (load was DOUBLE the 1st)
- That trailer (small dump trailer) was full with what was mutually agreed upon as “clean” sheet copper at $2.90/pound per the lady who works the scale (which disappeared after my load was uncovered and they saw it).
Then I loaded it into a beat up metal box and then I walked to truck to get wallet. I had no clue what to think when my entire load of metal was nowhere to be found and NOBODY was able to tell me or wanted to help. Found it parked inside the small scale area but it’s only bc I jumped up and into the bay door area and walked in. They proceeded with the weight process but never removed copper from box. I asked the boss “why aren’t they weighing it out and how do you know that that box is the correct weight, and when was the box last checked out for weight calibration etc”…not one response to my question other than him pointing to a number “331” barely visible spray painted on the outside of it. Then. I’m told the copper is $2.05/pound but the lady is still nowhere in site.
That load totaled $450.00 but my load before that was a SMALLER half the size and it totaled about $670. They said all of that was only 221 pounds. They are the worst people in the business so I highly suggest you take it to ATLAS or other places first. Never again.
Bummer that this recycling facility doesn't stick to their posted and advertised times. I hustled down to make it before the advertised 430 Sunday closing time and made it there with 8 min to spare. I had only a box full of non-ferrous metal to recycle but rolled up to a shut door, with nobody there to weigh my stuff. The big yard was still accepting entire trailers and box trucks filled with metal, but I wasn't able to drop the box full of brass and copper. I've promised my client I would return with our agreed shared recycle proceeds, but because someone decided to close early, I get to return empty-handed with an unverifiable story of the early closure. Thanks DSMR... I had to work all day...I guess you didn't.
I went there for the first the other staff was nice but they asked what I had I told the they asked what I should label it? As I said I don't know what do you think? They told me their opinion which was all scrap steel. I later found out that a lot of it was worth a lot more and I only made $20 for a very long drive that day. I just feel that that was just dishonest and that's not a good way to do business. I took copper brass stainless steel, two big hydraulic pumps and all I got was 20 bucks and I drove all the way from Ken. Carl ranch would not suggest this place
Best place in town to do business with by far they go above and beyond help every one of their customers open later than anybody else 7 days a week plus a Food pantry on Sundays. This company saves lives they really do.......
