Worse company ever! When you call to close your services they charge you for more pickups that you don’t need. My house has already been sold; they expose you to additional fees that the new property owner could rack up and force me to pay those fees. Makes absolute no sense. This is bad business!
I have been calling customer support since Monday and no one has been by to pick up my trash I’ve been told time and time again that someone would be by and no one age I have nowhere to throw my trash I will be looking into other services
If I could I’ll leave zero stars to this company !! In trash day one of the trucks hit our car that was parked in front of the house after so many calls with the costumer service line and no response we decided to take action and came to the location to resolve this issue in a prompt manner we have videos and proof of when this happened and this lady treated us like we were lying. employees are beyond RUDE especially THE RECEPTIONIST at the front of this location, she had the nastiest attitude and smart mouth she needs to learn how to be an active listener. useless attitude like she said she couldn’t do anything because they “sit around all day” she offered no help. as a human being she lacks of common sense. please REPUBLIC Incorporate the human element of working within customer service Teach them to walk in your customers' shoes. Sometimes all it takes to help a customer is knowing who to call or talk to at the company. This receptionist is completely ignorant on how to do her job. Needless to say I’m still with a messed up car and no way near on how or where to get an answer.
Here currently. Parking lot is full of employees. Had to park in actual parking lot for employees, car battery died and boxed in. No help from manager, had to jump fence to get out.
Oh and I'm here because these employees hit my car while picking up weeks trash and drove off. Also told they can't help me here. Great company
It gets five stars because it is my new place of employment. Also GFL is fat more concerned about it's employees and their impact on the environment then waste management ever was
Always good idea to service a hotel’s dumpsters at 5:30am. Who needs an alarm when you can wake up to the sound of dumpsters clanging together. You’d think a little thought would go into how you run your routes, but judging by the other reviews there isn’t much thought in anything you do. I’m tempted to sell my GFL stock after reading the negative feedback.
Supremely unreliable and they always make a mess that they never clean up. Will you get trash and recycling service this week? That’s the big question, because they’re as reliable as a screen door on a submarine. Frustrating to say the least, what are we paying you for again? Oh yea, to do your job. I forgot.
Some weeks one truck will come and take both trash and recycling and they haphazardly choose who gets their trash/recycling taken.
You just started servicing out apartment complex, and this is how it is going to be?? This was about 8 minutes ago. That's really bad. Dude didn't even clean up anything. I had to clean up this mess that your guy left behind. He didn't even clean it up. I can't imagine what all the other trash areas look like.
Two weeks in a row and called the Office on Washington blvd this lady name Sidney had no customer service skills at all, couldn’t give me an answer as why my recycle bin was not pick up, I requested to speak to her supervisor and she said she didn’t have one, overall worse service
For a number of weeks now, when the GFL trash driver comes to empty our twin dumpsters at Snowbird II Phase 1 condos, ,each and every time the driver puts the dumpsters back, he arranges the dumpsters so they are hard for people to easily access especially for our Senior residents.When the driver was asked to put the dumpsters in properly, he refused and blew it off.. Is this how you train your drivers to block easy access to the dumpsters? Why can't we rely upon quality trash services for the condo residents here?
I've called them and left voicemails 6 times. Never got an answer or called back. Even though every time I've called has been during business hours. I sent them 3 emails through their website. Never got emailed back.
Best of all, Now, they've taken my yard art and thrown it away!
It's been out there for several months and they never touched it! It's really obvious that the yard art was not trash!!! So after months of existing, untouched, they suddenly decided to pick it out of my yard and throw it away!
This is the last straw!!!

I just want to be clear, this rating has nothing to do with the normal waste management guys, they go above and beyond all the time. Recycling is horrible! My neighbors told me about this issue and we stuck with the company when we move across town. I'm currently looking for a new recycling company. I literally saw them knock over a recycling bin and trash blew around. They never left the truck! Lol
We have been with Bestway probably more than 20 years. Our recycle bin had a wheel come off. We have been waiting 2 weeks now to get a new recycle container. Two times the wrong route was put in by dispatcher? No one bothered to follow up with this. Now we have to wait until Monday. I know it's not the worst thing in the world, but it is one more thing and someone is being incompetent.
Echoing the experiences of those below...ever since GFL bought the company, the trash pick up has been spotty and it is impossible to speak to anyone. I have tried calling 3 times over as many weeks to speak to a customer services rep, left 3 messages, and none of them were returned.
I have called 15-20 times to initiate new trash service. Nobody ever picked up so I pursued the option of leaving my name and phone# so they could call me back. Never heard from them.
The WORST experience with this company. They haven't picked up our recycle bin in a month, their customer service line is either a busy signal or prompts you to leave a message. I finally got a hold of managers Clint and George separate occasions and they assured they pass my complaint along to the drivers, customer service called me back & she said she would "credit my acct" and she will have them come out, waited all day and still NOTHING, I can't even get a hold of them to pick up their damn bin, this is the WORST I have EVER experienced, I wouldn't rate them 1 star.
Just left another voicemail with Bestway about my Recycling not being picked up. It has been at least 3 weeks since recycling has been picked up. I've called and left voice mails numerous times and they have yet to return a call. Service has been terrible since GFL bought Bestway Disposal.
This is in regards to the recycling only. I am still having my regular garbage picked up on the scheduled days.
Not even worth a star!! This company is not dependable at all!! You are scheduled every week to get your recycling picked up and they show up every other week or we had them take 3 weeks to pick up our recycle. Calls to them have long hold times, probably because others are getting the same bad service as well. You leave a message and they don't call back!! Not a good trash company!! I would go elsewhere!!
Since green for life took over they have become increasingly worse at picking up trash and recycling. Customer service never answered the phone either.
Up until recently i have had no complaints. However the last 3 weeks my recycling has not been picked up. I have called and called, left messages, emailed, called the national number...no reply, no pick up. When I call now it is a busy signal, can't even leave a message. It is not just me, all around my neighborhood it is the same. I see the trucks around town, so hopefully that means you're still in business! Please pick up my recycling!!
This is getting ridiculous. This is the second week in a row where nobody has come to pick up my recycling... To make matters worse I can't even get a hold of you when I call, the call gets a busy tone and hangs up... Remind me what exactly am I paying you for? Because at this point, I can't call you, and you aren't doing your job. Im about to switch to a company who can answer their **** phones.
Not a public place!! Great people to deal with; very friendly and competent. They know how to load trailers promptly and scale out legal on site. I look forward to getting loads out of Bestway!
These 1 star reviews should be given 1 star themselves for not understanding what this place is or how it works. This is not a public facility; this is Bestway's private recyclables processing center. After their trucks pick up your recycling from your home or business, it is taken here to be sorted and processed. that's it. So needing to call them or not being able to drop stuff off is irrelevant, just like your 1 star.
My work place is on the same street and I find them to be great neighbors. They provide all their neighbors free recycling pickup and keep the street and their campus very tidy. For that, I give them 5 stars.
