Tell your drivers they better be able to fight with how they drive, if my kid wasn't in the car I would have let him hit me. Educate your drivers on zipper merges, or they'll end up losing their licenses
Good place. Dropped a trailer load of scrap. Never been here before. Nice crew helped direct us to magnet. Got unloaded in about 10 minutes. Still going so don't know price yet. Really, we were fine just recycling the scrap.
The grass is not always greener.... Heard another scrap yard paid better and took batteries, so thought I'd give em a try. Got turned away for out of date vehicle tags. Which I have at home, just haven't put on the truck. My truck rarely gets used and it slipped my mind. I asked the manager of Denver metals if I had my wife text me a pic of the new registration and sticker if he would except that and he said no. Called atlas on my way just make sure they would accept us and sure enough only needed a valid ID. Thanks Atlas!
I have been taking my aluminum cans here for years because it is so convenient for unloading. You can just weigh out a bag or two, or you can back your truck in front of a big pile of cans and empty your bulk load. Everyone there is so friendly, from the yard to the office.They have a sighn hanging in the office defining what a customer is. This isn't something they just bought at Hallmark. They live it! I feel like I am appreciated as a customer and that doesn't happen anywhere anymore.
DO BETTER IRON and METALS INC! One of your trucks lost a chunk of metal while on I-70 and Quebec this morning and took a few small chunks out of my bumper. That piece of metal could have done a whole lot more damage to a motorcyclist and I&M could be looking at a pretty hefty lawsuit should that have been the case. Your drivers should be more aware of what is left in the bed of the truck before they depart and make sure it's empty. The damage is purely cosmetic, but could have taken out my windshield or ended someone's life! Just saying...
First off- these guys keep their word. That's rare in the scrap world.
Second, their prices and service are excellent. I'll be coming here when I'm in Denver.
Very quick and easy service. The machine operators unloaded my vehicle for me and were very accommodating to park me close and very skilled removing the scrap in the back of my truck.
Within the last two days my husband and I have scrapped two full truck bed loads of aluminum ballisters - and it was a pleasant experience both trips! We especially liked the gentleman that was the scale house operator! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Iam a very old person that was in the scrap business for 38 years ....and if anybody cares to know the truth about the scrap business well I And M is the only place for that and I don't just mean Colorado I'm talking about the planet!!
I' can tell you horror story's of and about everyone whose been in the business in Colorado!!! If you want an honest deal in this business ..that's where it will happen and just for starters I'll let you upstarts in on a not so big a secret, everybody cheats you on the scales and I mean everybody!!

What a great place we have here. Two days in a row of ripling me off only this time they couldnt correct it because no one would say one way or another what i had or didnt have.
I brought at least 25 new customers to this place that they they now purely profit from and you would think that after 2 years of selling them my honest materials that they would at least just be honest and fair back and not need me to complain about it. Well the fact that their employees straight heckle and harrass me on their own time tells you something.
Who should my lawyer contact? The office or should he and his colleagues be address the issues directly to iron and metals team of lawyer? CEO? Or shoukd this all just be settled in the court room.
I doubt that the many many hours of footage I have of b.s. I have had to endure from people that work here will suprise any of the staff as im sure they are all aware and my guess is employeed tgis as side work as my lawyer cant see it any other way.
Fair and honest is all I expect from a beainess like this as thats what I provide and yet after two years of daily sales I cant even get that. I'm sure I'll drive away a lot more customers now for the company then the many the company profits from daily I have brought in over the years with no gratitude what so ever for ut and just to be robbed. Thanks I'm not eatinf tonight I shoukd have brought my metal elswhere as thats all I'll do from now on.

One employee ever have I had direct bad words with so this statment saying i come in acting all frantic and whatnot is bull. Hate to break it to everyone but everyone who has treated as an equal there has aleays had my utmost respect. And the one guy I had words with ripped me off and the cashier took care of it without me saying anything on ky following visit .
3 visits in a row I had one of your employees buy my metal at a horrific price. That and if I was there at closing they all had a great interest at the interior of my vehicle. Why? Who knows but when one if your employees uses a crane to lift off some heavy wrought iron pieces he then moments later be able to tell the cashier what he took off my van as the three of us stood there. Nope he refused to tell the truth. Your employee couldnt even tell a fellow employee what he removed from the roof of my van. That's messed up.
And the guy i had words with a years ago. He and i went through all my aluminum at which point he said it was all clean and then I gave him a very high end circuot board full of gold processors. He said mid grade I chu kled and said its high he yelled to Scott and scott said its very high grade anx then the payout sheet said my clean aluminum was breakage. He walked by and I asled him what piece made it breakage and je couldnt reply walled away downstaors to only brag to every one about it.
Then recently I had 3 days of which i brought in copper transformer windings. First time $2.04 second time $2.06 third time $1.35
Then square sto k iron clean they bought for tin at 65 a ton instead of the $115 they did three days prior.
No one other than the guy from a year ago have there been any words with anyone and your employees seem to lile me from what i can tell. Its only the crew that speak Spanish 90% of the time it seems that treats me like this but so it is in regular life too. Why this is I dont know but it sucks that its been costing me lots of money.

I love this place! Best scrap yard in my eyes. they are always very helpful to me being a new scrapper and they're more than willing to take a minute to explain things to me they're awesome! Plus I think every person in there could be models. Lol they are all gorgeous!

Pretty sure I just watched this company on the news destroying a motorcycle without properly removing the oil and other chemicals out of it. The hazardous materials were dripping into the earth....
I wrote Iron & Metal Recycle an e-mail inquiring about their services for my company and received no response. It doesn't mater if they are interested giving us their business or not, but a professional response would be "no thanks."
