What clients say about Denver Metal Recycling in Denver (CO)

Probably the best place to recycle. I had an issue with the price I got on some thick insulated. The manager Adam took the time to run a test on my wire. Turned out better than the initial quote. Adam made the price difference. Paid me the extra 35% on my next visit. That's where I'll be doing my upcoming business. Been fair to me.
Good luck to you!Jan 22, 2026 -
I took in a small gallon bucket of cooper 2 and I weighed at my house at 19lbs. I look at the ticket it said 12 lbs and had a tote with insulated wire 1 and a egine wire harness with all the plugs cut off. They took my wiring to back before I could see the ticket. On the ticket they charged me engine harness at 1.30 a pound.
So I lost almost 20llbs of copper. Seller beware and weigh your own stuff. I will never go back to this recycling place againJan 10, 2026 -
Great service, good prices with staff and management that’s responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. I have been selling large quantities of scrap for 30 years. I have relationships with them all and prefer to do business with Adam and his team. When you do the math you will find as I have. These folks are working hard everyday to earn and keep your business.

I been recycling with them for over 7 years now they always treat me as an VIP customer top dollar for your recycling materials.
Adam is always answering all my questions and helping me very well.
Thanks Denver Metal Recycling...Dec 19, 2025 -
Honestly not much to love about a recycling center. They seem to pay decently on metals. Overall no complaints.

This people has no manners to specially on aluminum side. They have very discouraging policies. They take lunch at 12:00 closing all services. Bad service..!!!

Get an empty scale ticket first and then go to pick up the load. After the loading process is finished, get another scale ticket, and then you can get the paperwork from the office.

Been coming here for years. They are always fast, accurate, and give your buckets back!

Best recycling place in Colorado top prices. The only downfall is you dont get to clean metal for more than 20 minutes but it makes sense and im not complaining. They just need to get people in and out of there quicker. The Best part is the ladies inside there laid back respectful and are very helpful. I recommend Denver Metal to every one I see recycling. So they can go to the best scrap yard and get paid right. THANKS Denver Metal. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Always an awesome experience.
Quick, honest, and I never leave feeling as though I could have done better somewhere else.
Right now in the Denver area, I don't think there's a better one stop shop than this yard.Oct 27, 2025 -
A great place to recycle however I didn't like the fact that because I don't have a car I was denied to recycle and I don't think that's right

Best Prices & Friendliest Workers in Denver. Busy Place but worth it. They are all good people here.

I came here for the first time last week and it was super quick in and out, no time wasted whatsoever. Plus there was some guy selling ice cream basically right next to where you enter the business, so I grabbed some ice cream from him, and it was exactly what I needed after hauling scrap metal on a hot day all the way down to downtown Denver!

I called in to ask the owner a question about a difficult recyclable material. Instead of saying “no we don’t take it” like the other yards, he spent an hour learning about the material and gave me a lot of information.
Super approachable, knowledgeable and friendly guy along with his staff. I will be taking all my ferrous and non ferrous materials to them from now on. Kindness goes a long way and that’s exactly what I was met with while reaching out to this company.Aug 15, 2025 -
Because the manager got in trouble with the city for letting people park where they want I got screamed on about it when I did not know anything about it so I let it go and went back two days later and the told me they can’t except my scrap if I’m wearing sandals this is the first and only time I have had issues at any scrap yard about this and I have gone to several scrapyards and never had that issue I have been scrapping since I was a little and never once had this issue. It is enter at your own risk. If I wanna wear sandals, I should be able to wear sandals.Either they need to get their shit together or they’re gonna Lose a lot of customers I know for a fact they’ve already lost me as a customer sucks to be you. I bring a lot of metal.

Denver Metal Recycling is hands down the best place to go if you’re looking to recycle metal. They consistently offer the best prices in town, and the service is top-notch.
Adam and Elio are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rest of the crew is just as great. You can tell they work as a solid team — everything runs smoothly, and they treat customers with respect and professionalism.
I highly recommend this place 100% to anyone looking to recycle metal. You won’t find better prices or a better team anywhere else in DenverJun 28, 2025 -
Turned away for expired tags. Valid ID, matching registration and insurance....I have the sticker at home and asked if my wife took a pic and texted it if they'd accept us. Nope. A truck that is parked probably 355 days out of the year, yeah. Use it to make 1 scrap run a year maybe or help someone move. Yet atlas metals didn't have a problem with it. Denver metals had good reviews so thought I'd give em a try as a first time customer and drive a little further, plus they take batteries I believe.
The manager that had the ultimate say was pretty smug and condescending about it, like I'm some kind of deadbeat or criminal. I do wonder if all the RVs, trailers and vehicles (bringing shopping carts of scrap into the lot) parked outside of the gates acquired their scrap legally or have current tags. I guess I should have known the loophole .... Park outside the gates, walk it all in.Jun 27, 2025 -
The bottom line is that if you’re not coming here to sell your scrap, you’re losing money.
Elio and his people on the non ferrous side are diligent, hard working and always getting their customers the best value.
The ferrous side runs like a well oiled machine and the lady in the weigh house always gives my dog a treat.Jun 04, 2025 -
They treat you pretty fair over there at DMR. Probably can’t get a better price in town. The place is organized chaos. It’s like BarterTown on meth instead of gas. There’s a taco truck across the street in case you are looking to fill that belly after your three day run of driving around the metro harvesting your crop of recyclables.

We had some old copper coolant line to recycle and, after a few calls, this facility offered a good price. Google Maps sent us right to the location. I was a bit confused about where to enter as there is not a clear sign, but you want to turn into the large driveway just north of the brick and metal warehouse with the DENVER METAL RECYCLING sign.
Stay to the right as you go up the driveway and park as close to the second large warehouse entrance as possible. If all of the spaces are occupied, follow the Exit sign around the far edge of the yard and you'll find additional parking against the fence.
Once you've parked, grab one of the various carts and load up your materials. Get in the line by that second warehouse entrance. You'll come to a gentleman operating a floor scale. He'll check your ID, weigh the items, and give you a receipt.
You then walk back to the first warehouse entrance and go in the small door where you'll find the cashier. You give her your receipt and she gives you any change that's due, then directs you to the ATM in the corner of the office where you scan your receipt and receive your cash.
This is a busy operation, but all of the staffers were friendly, efficient, and helpful. We grabbed a cart, loaded up our items, had a short wait in line for the scale, weighed in and got our receipt, walked to the cashier, and soon had a very reasonable amount of cash.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was a very pleasant and professional experience. Just watch out for forklifts!Mar 18, 2025 -
Finally found a place that appreciates my toxic relationships... with my car parts! Brought in some disc brake rotors that had been giving me the silent treatment (followed by that concerning metal-on-metal screech).
The staff here are the automotive therapists I never knew I needed. They didn't judge me for holding onto those rotors far longer than any mechanic would recommend. Instead, they weighed my automotive baggage and actually PAID ME to let go of my past!
Sure, the cash I got probably won't fund my retirement, but the REAL windfall was reclaiming that precious garage real estate. Those rotors had been squatting on prime storage territory for too long! Now I have enough space to store... well, probably more car parts that I'll bring here in a year.
Quick service, fair prices, and they didn't even laugh when I patted my rotors goodbye. Will definitely be back when my muffler inevitably decides it's time for a midlife crisis.
Pro tip: The real value isn't measured in dollars per pound, but in square footage reclaimed per spouse's happiness level!Mar 06, 2025 -
This is ridiculous. I sit in line for half an hour just for y'all to say 80% of it was trash. What a rip off. I could've gotten more from a different scrap yard and probably should've. I hope y'all enjoy the $6.00 donation. Ain't coming back again

These folks are the most polite and genuinely friendly in the scrap metal business. They do more than just "their job" usually making it convenient for us, the customer. Adam even gives customers his cellphone number so they can get the best scrap price straight from him while Victoria is super awesome over the phone & at payout counter--you know some people just want to get the best price from a 'guy'. Overall, they go that extra mile for their customers

Denver Metal Recycling has the best prices in town! If you’re unsure of what metals you have they’ll help you from rare earth magnets to xrf! They have two different yards for ferrous and non ferrous metals! Great customer service!

Been doing business with these people for 3 years now. They want your business. Treat you like a customer. Easy off load not overly picky. Always open to change your price if you disagree. Adam and his staff are about taking care of the customers. Great doing business with Denver Metal

I had no idea what to expect, but it was really easy and everyone was very nice. When you turn onto the road, they have two different yards for different types of metals. I went to the ferrous metal yard which is on the left. You pull in, grab a cart, load everything up, and the walk to the back. There is an open bay door were someone will weigh the pieces. After that, they give you a receipt and you take it to the cashier where you can cash out. The whole process was really quick and people were very helpful, because I had no idea what to do.
