Similar to many other reviews, I parked in the empty lot, found the store closed and returned. The boot was placed by an unmarked vehicle within 1-2 minutes and I was charged $145 to have it removed or else they’d tow me. I tried to explain I did not know the store was closed. I called the number on their business card (7202751348) and was told that I was lucky I wasn’t towed. Again, turns out both business were closed. Very clear predatory booting leaving me with only one option, to pay the boot fee.
Booted my car after I parked in a lot for 5 minutes when my 5 year old had an emergency bathroom need. 5 minutes. I missed the signs saying parking was only for customers in that spot and that was my fault. I was dealing with a potty emergency. But really- 5 minutes. Predatory and unnecessary. I paid the $125 after they made it clear they didn't care.
I really appreciated the boot you gave me this morning in a lot that was empty because both business there were closed. I get it, I broke the rules but it’s completely unnecessary. Your company clearly practices predatory towing, but can’t now because of the new law. I hope “predatory booting” works out just as well for you. Enjoy your $125.
