I love the Love Encore program! On the day you buy a new car, the excitement and stress of filling out paperwork can make it easy to forget valuable information about your purchase. With this program, you make an appointment after your purchase (usually 1-2 weeks after your purchase). You are given a small notebook and are encouraged to write down questions/concerns you might have about your new car. At your appointment, the Valley Subaru representative sits with you in your car and first addresses all questions and concerns. My representative was Garrett Alcala, and he was fantastic! He answered all my questions, and then went through every component on my dashboard, making sure that I understood what everything was for and gave recommendations for settings based on knowing that I live in the mountains. He was a consummate professional but also felt very approachable. I never felt stupid asking him a question. This is a great program, made even better by having such a knowledgeable and personable representative such as Garrett.
Edit: the manager of the service department gave me a call, gave a very professional apology, and definitely made the situation right. I’ll be going back for future car service and just getting a ride home if service is supposed to take long.
Their website says no need to schedule an appointment for just an oil change as it’s an “Express Service” but I went in on a Thursday morning and waited close to two hours. They never mentioned the wait would be long or apologized for how long it took which was quite frustrating as I would’ve planned my morning differently.
