I cant recommend Devon's Car Care enough!
After discovering that the a/c wouldn't work in my Chevy Cruze, I was dreading trying to find a trustworthy place to get it looked at. Thanks to the high reviews, I decided to try out Devon's Car Care. They were able to get me in much sooner than expected. I had expectations of paying well over $1k, so I was nervous to hear the price. They were able to not only fix the issue, but they got it all done in one day and it cost half of what I was expecting.
About a week or so later, I noticed my check engine light was on, so I called them again to see if they could find out what was wrong. (Unsure if it was connected to when they had it before) Turns out, a pulley from my water tank had snapped, which in turn broke the serpentine belt. When you hear about anything going wrong on an engine, you know it can be expensive. But once again, Devon's Car Care not only had everything fixed in under 3 hours, but the price was unbeatable.
Communication is very thorough and I was kept up to date the entire time. If you are looking for reliable, honest work, you won't be disappointed. They have a customer for life!
Mechanic extraordinaire! Our go-to mechanic for 20 or so years. Devon has everything you’d want in a mechanic to entrust your cars with. Honest - Reliable - Extremely knowledgeable – Highly Experienced - Excellent customer service and communication - Reasonably priced. I recently had to bring my VW Alltrack in for repairs. Devon and his team diagnosed a tricky and complex leak and while it took several visits, he was relentless in finding the source of the problem, fixing it, and having me drive it a few days before even billing me.
Devin is an honest mechanic who’s willing to talk through repairs. He’s gone above and beyond at times fitting my car in on an emergency. His shop calls to go over repairs before fixing. Excellent Friendly customer service.
You won’t find a better mechanic anywhere! Devon went way above and beyond for me with a big job that had a bunch of unfortunate challenges along the way. He really knows his craft well. while I was happy to accept, I thought his pricing was too fair! How many mechanics do you know that have you feeling like you should talk their price up??
Excellent, honest service. Took care of a few other issues he noticed at very fair cost (oil refill, popped rear bumper back into place, addressed some noisiness related to exhaust). All in all highly recommended. Worked on an old 2011 Subaru. We will go back!
Friendly, skilled and trustworthy mechanic
We’ve gone to Devon’s for several years now. The whole staff is great. Today is the second time they’ve worked with me to quickly resolved a time sensitive problem on my vehicle. Devon’s great at explaining any issues they find and has always been straightforward and trustworthy.
After being a customer here for over seven years, I feel obligated to warn anyone considering Devon's Car Care. Unfortunately, this business has seen a steady decline in both service quality and professionalism, and my latest experience has left me completely disillusioned. Here’s what you need to know before trusting them with your vehicle:
Excessive Wait Time with No Updates
Despite booking my appointment a week in advance, I waited an astonishing 14 days to get my car back — far longer than I’ve ever had to wait anywhere else. During this time, I received no updates. Each time I called, I was either brushed off or left with no answer, adding to the frustration.
Unprofessional Communication
The woman handling customer calls was often abrupt and seemed frustrated when I asked for status updates. At one point, after a particularly tense exchange, she even apologized for her tone, but it didn’t feel sincere, and the interactions remained unfriendly and stressful.
Issues with Repair Quality
When I finally received my car, the new part installed failed due to a leaking hose that should have been inspected during the repair. Initially, they wanted to charge me to fix this issue, only relenting after I questioned it. Eventually, they admitted it was likely their oversight and agreed to cover it, but the additional repair still took longer than expected.
Further Poor Communication
When I reached out again about timing for the additional repair, I was told they couldn’t provide ETAs anymore, and the calls became increasingly tense. I felt brushed off and treated poorly — I honestly can’t remember the last time I was treated this way by anyone. Several of my calls even ended abruptly, and I’m certain she hung up on me each time.
In short, Devon’s Car Care has unfortunately lost the customer-centric approach that initially kept me coming back, and the quality of their work has become deplorable. I can’t recommend them at this point, especially given the decline in service and overall experience. I’ll be filing a report with the BBB, too. Please consider this a heads-up if you’re considering them for car repair. Don’t do it — Boulder has plenty of capable shops with much better customer service.
Devon's is great! The pricing is great. The work is wonderful. And the staff make you feel like you're being taking care. I could not recommended this place more.
Devon is great, gives service and fixes my car above and beyond what it needs. Great communicators and professional. They understand cars and always charge less than they should.

Nice people and very affordable but don’t take your car here if you’re looking for a quick turnaround time. I had the car towed there and was told it would be looked at on a particular day. But three weeks past and numerous calls later, it was finally fixed. My car has hasn’t run this well in 8 years but I don’t have time to wait for a repair. Happy to pay extra for an expedited service ….
Devon is the best, most honest mechanic you'll find. You can tell he cares about his clients and staff and goes above and beyond to accommodate needs however he can, could not recommend more highly

I had an engine fire in my 1996 Bronco and fortunately the fire department extinguished it. There was moderate damage to the driver side under the hood and to the quarter panel and hood that were peeled back to put the fire out. It’s difficult to find a shop willing to work on older cars that have been affected this way, but Devon took on the job. Not only was he able to reconstruct all of the burnt hoses and wires, he put on a replacement hood and fender that I acquired from a salvage yard. Devon was always patient as I called frequently for updates, and explained what was going on in good detail. My Bronco seems to drive better now than before the fire. Great shop, great service, at a very fair price - Thanks guys
Had a lot of life issues going on, and out of every mechanic I’ve had, they’ve overcharged me. The owner of Devon’s went above and beyond, and I’m very blessed to have him help with my car. Devon is genuine and honest mechanic which is rare to come by. I’ve never seen someone who cares so much about the quality and care for their customers. Devon is very nice and professional. I will not be seeing another mechanic again unless it’s him, he is the first and last mechanic I will trust. And I will only do business with Devon when comes to my trust in a mechanic.
Devon has been helping me build my Second Gen Range Rover overland project. This has been a complicated build and he has done the most complicated portions of it. Most shops won't touch a 20 year old Range Rover because it's such a PITA. I've had tire shops refuse to mount tires and lube shops refuse to change my oil.
Devon designed and welded up a custom 3-link suspension and anti rock sway bar. I have searched high and low and contacted several custom offroad shops and none of them wanted to tackle the job. He also installed new locking diffs, cv's, and welded on new diff pans that I'm sure were a huge pain. He's also helped me track down and correct typical land rover electric gremlins that most shops would have turned down.
I have a 94 Ford F150 that was my dad's. I plan to keep this truck forever. Brought it to Devon's for a bunch of miscellaneous items that needed work. Replaced a lot of the front suspension, front brakes, alignment, fixed the mix control on the heat/AC, fixed power locks. Great work and fair price. They always seem busy, so there are a lot of other folks that appreciate his work. Highly recommend!!
Devon and his staff were very thorough. I had been on a cross country trip and had two lights on and three electrical issues. They did an eval one day, ordered parts and had all the issues fixed in a six hour appointment the following week. Amazing service at an amazingly reasonable price!!
Devon and team are AMAZING: honest, thorough, fair, knowledgeable, friendly, and great communicators and technicians. They were patient with me through a few cancelled pre-purchase inspection appointments I had made for used vehicles I was considering buying, and unhesitatingly squeezed me in for a final pre-purchase inspection. I drove the car up to them from Englewood, that’s how much I trust Devon. They took a thorough look and helped me to feel confident in this vehicle. My first experience with Devon's Car Care was a positive one. I've been looking for a reliable shop to take my 06 LJU. I saw Devon's Car Care on the TFLTruck YouTube channel. During our first call, we talked for 30 minutes about the type of lift and pros/cons of each. Devon was patient with all of my questions. We settled on one that I am very happy with. The quality of the work is outstanding. The project took a bit longer than the estimate due to the complexity of the work, but he did not change the overall cost to me, even though I offered for such good work. I'm happy to find a place where I can build a long-term relationship with a mechanic.
I was recommended to Devon by a friend and I am so grateful. I needed an honest opinion on my own car, as well as a car I was looking at buying. Devon gave me factual and prompt information that made my decision easy to make. I appreciate Devon's expertise and honesty, as well as his professionalism. Devon's Car Care is top notch. My truck has been there a few times and each time I felt like he treated it as if it were is own. Him and his crew are knowledgeable, experienced, and they get the job done right.
Devon is amazing - efficient, clear, friendly and honest. I appreciated his expertise and the fact that my bill was $50 less than his quote. I was in and out within 24 hours...if only he could have magically erased the lack of care my used car received from her previous owners! When your dad says "I have a guy for that," Devon is that guy. My whole family has followed Devon from his previous employer for many reasons. He is a great mechanic, charges fair prices, and is honest. He takes the time to explain issues to me and has never spoken down to me despite my lack of car knowledge. Whenever he fixes something in my ten year old car, there are no recurring issues from that problem. Everyone should be so lucky to have a car mechanic that does quality work and will never take advantage of you! Also, his logo is trendy and my dad wears his shop's shirt all the time!
Devon has been my mechanic for years...since before he had his own shop. After a random good samaritan helped me change a flat, he gave me Devon's number in case I needed a mechanic in the future. Being female and not having anyone I knew and trusted, I went on the excellent reference. Now I will only take my car to him. He runs a good business, is trustworthy, and is a nice guy.
Devon has done a valve cover job (best price in town), oil changes and control arm replacement on my older Audi. Honest guy with excellent prices. Nothing fancy, they just do good work. He's my new mechanic after my previous mechanic moved away. Doesn't charge the crazy prices on labor for my Audi like most places in town do. I found him as a referral from a neighbor and I recommend him to others now too!
