Got a car from these wonderful people a few weeks ago. There were a few things that needed repair and I just picked up my car and they not only fixed the big thing but found 4 more things and fixed them all for free! They are amazing and Eric is an absolute gem!! Love him so much!

Best car buying experience I’ve ever had! Eric is the nicest person ever and so genuine and honest! Not the typical car salesman. But a true gentleman. Love him!

We are very pleased with our recent servicing at Super Rupair, as it was easy to schedule, thorough, as requested, all at a fair price. Thanks!

I was pleased that you had an opening the next day and that you were able to remove the stone from my wheel.
But I am not happy about the report on my statement that says the engine air filter is dirty and needs to be replaced.
When I was called to say my car was ready to pick up, I was told
• You need an oil change. No, I don’t, because SR changed my oil with Amsoil, 20,000 miles or one year, and an Amsoil filter.
• I was not told on the phone that the engine air filter needed to be changed. I did not realize this until I got home and looked at the statement. Had I been told on the phone that this needed to be done, I would have said yes. Now I have to make another appointment and spend hours on this.
Your thoughts?

I called to make an appointment today as a new customer and the person who answered the phone was very rude to me. When they couldnt find me in the system they said "Well you have to tell us if you havent been here before - I think I even asked." (They did not). I'll take my business elsewhere if this is how I'm treated as a potential new customer.

Great personal and professional interaction. You guys found my problem gave me a chance to fix it on the side off the road. That let me bring it back for the other issues. That was really helpful. You also tried to find used options for me. I have over 275 thousand miles on her so I really appreciate that consideration. You guys rock as always

I was a loyal customer of this shop for many years and brought two different cars here under the previous ownership. Back then, they were honest, helpful, detailed, and even worked with me to keep costs down when possible. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, my experiences have been extremely disappointing.
In March 2024, I brought my Subaru in and was told that oil was mixing with the coolant and that the engine seals needed to be redone — a repair they quoted at over $5,000. My stepfather, who is very mechanically knowledgeable, helped me research the issue, and we found a Subaru specialist in Florida (we happened to be traveling there at the time).
Even including $700 for shipping and $2,200 for the full repair — which involved pulling the engine, fully cleaning it, and doing additional preventative work — the total cost was still far less than the $5,000+ quote Super Rupair gave me. Multiple other shops since then have also been shocked by that original price.
Recently, I decided to give them another chance for a new issue where my car was lurching during acceleration. I clearly explained the symptoms when I booked the appointment and again at check-in. However, when I picked the car up, the staff seemed to have no memory of why I brought it in.
Instead, I was told — again — that oil was mixing with the coolant, that I supposedly needed a new engine, and that I should “just drive the car into the ground.” There were no warning lights on, no check engine light, and no transmission light related to this issue.
As a mother of two, being told to simply accept a potentially unsafe vehicle without a proper diagnosis was unacceptable.
I took my car to Hoshi Motors in Boulder for a second opinion. They did a thorough inspection and found the real issue: a bad spark plug. They fixed it quickly and affordably. They also confirmed there was no oil in the coolant, the previous repair done in Florida was excellent, and my engine is in good shape with plenty of life left.
Super Rupair never mentioned the spark plug at all.
I’ve always taken great care of my Subarus, stayed on top of maintenance, and driven them well past 200,000 miles. This car has been reliable, safe, and well-loved. To be repeatedly told it was essentially “done for” without proper diagnosis felt careless at best and misleading at worst.
I’m deeply disappointed in how this shop has changed and will not be returning. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major repairs here.Jan 19, 2026 -
Great experience buying an Outback, Eric was incredibly helpful and friendly

My indash climate control switch for the fan speed failed. I bought the wrong part three times on the internet and returned them. Super Rupair did the repair with the correct parts quickly right before December 31st. The part price was a little high but it covered going and picking up the part. My wife is happy to be warm.

Bought a used Subaru for my daughter and had a good experience with the salesperson Eric. Straightforward and easy transaction. So far the car is great and my daughter is very happy! Thank you

Quick diagnostic, parts were in stock at their shop and the car was ready the next day. Reasonable pricing for parts and labor. Friendly and knowledgeable mechanics/technicians. My entire household uses them for our Subarus

My new go to exclusive Subaru repair shop is Super Rupair in Boulder 1309 Yarmouth Avenue. Other shops were booked out for weeks and with a referral and one phone call they got my car in & fixed it the next day. What a find!
The steering had been wonky for 2 months even with pricey repairs to the power steering fluid & pump it just got worse. Matt at Super Rupair was friendly and knowledgeable after a full diagnostic they replaced the drive belt. It felt so good to drive a working car from the minute I picked it up. Thanks for your honesty and integrity I recommend Super Rupair to Subaru drivers in northern Colorado they are worth the drive.Nov 26, 2025 -
Super Rupair is the ABSOLUTE BEST!! The heat in my car quit working, right before the Thanksgiving holiday. I called hoping they could get me in the following week as you can't drive without defrost, heat - yes, defrost, no. Matt was able to get me in the very next morning!! Thank you, Matt!!
Today, Brian made dropping off the car and picking up a rental incredibly smooth & easy. (Thank you, Brian!!) The hope was to get it back the following day by close of business, before they close to be able to spend time with their families. (I'm so happy they close for that, not all employers do, so thank you to the owners!). I was so excited when I got back a comprehensive report of the inspection within hours from Brian. To say I was beyond thrilled that my car was ready a few hours after that is an understatement!!!
I have my car back sooner than expected and in perfect shape!! I really want to thank Brian for making everything so easy for me and my husband - you can train people, but you either have customer service skills or you don't. Brian most definitely does!!
Thank you to the entire Super Rupair team! We haven't taken our subie's anywhere else in decades. You are the BEST TEAM EVER & we are lucky to have you here in Boulder. If I could send you each on vacation, I would. Thanks for taking such good care of your community and happy Thanksgiving!!Nov 25, 2025 -
It was good to get a trustworthy estimate of the repairs. Also appreciate the offer to buy for parts. We plan on taking you up on that offer.

Been coming to these guys for years, always stellar service. Honest to a fault, will never overcharge you and are always looking out for your Subie's longevity. Matt's been trustworthy and awesome through two cars and years of repairs, and my boy Rob just saved me hundreds of dollars on a job by digging around for a quality replacement part in their inventory instead of buying a new one- that kind of service is why I'll keep coming back These dudes go the extra mile every time!

We've used Super Rupair for the past 13 years at the recommendation of another longtime customer. They do good work and use their extensive Subaru experience to let you know when to stick with OEM equipment or if you can save a few bucks with aftermarket. One time they really saved us diagnosing and repairing electrical issues with a broken wiring harness when another shop was in over their heads. I bring our Subbie to Super Rupair every time it needs the TLC of an expert mechanic.

I am super pleased with my experience here. Rob was very helpful when I needed an alignment done on my 06 Legacy Gt. They were able to get my car in on short notice and had the work done quickly. I recommend Super Rupair for anyone that wants their beloved subaru in safe hands.

UPDATE** after a dishonest response from the manage regarding my unfortunate experience here, i just wanted to share that I ended up taking my car to CHAN FOREIGN AUTO and WOW. These folks are HONEST and fast and charged me $225 for a job these guys wanted to charge me $800 for. They specialize is Subarus, too.
How disappointing. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review . I’ve had quite a bit of work done here with these guys and I trusted them. The other day, my window fell and wouldn’t roll up and it was obviously the motor that needed replacing and I was quoted one price after bringing it in. At first when I came by one of the guy said it would be around four or $500 and I was like OK great I’ll drop it off in the morning . I came back the next morning to drop it off then got a call saying they didn’t have the part in stock and said it would be a couple of days before getting it in. I said no worries. I can wait. In the meantime, family emergency arose and I need to leave town for a week so I need to pick up my car. They want to charge me almost $300 just for “diagnosing” the issue having done zero work to it. THEN, I got a surprise saying that to fix my window, it would cost $850 total instead of $620 total which is what I was quoted “out the door” Flatirons Subaru would’ve done that for free and even the cost to fix my car window was quoted less. I am floored by the way I was treated. Not to mention the last time I was in there when they did my brake job, they messed something up with that and I had to bring it back to them so that they could fix their mistake with that as well. Unreal. And they still have my car. Lost a loyal customer today, but clearly by the way i was treated on the phone by Brian, they couldn’t care less.
So I went by to check on my car and it was the ONLY car left outside of the gate which I wouldn’t be so bothered by, except I have a window that is stuck all the way down. Just wow. My car is not safe. It’s left wide open. Anyone can get right in it. Not in the safest location either. This is not OK.Oct 10, 2025 -
**One month update.
I absolutely love this car. GREAT gas mileage, runs great, still no issues. Did a quick oil change and a brake job before driving out to Wichita Kansas from the mountains and the entire ride went seamlessly! SO happy with my purchase and the way I was treated.
Went to the auto sales location to purchase a new car as my old Subaru was at the end of it’s life.. Eric was SUPER helpful and patient. He worked on finding out what car I was able to finance within my budget. I absolutely LOVE my car. Pricing was pretty reasonable, and after talking to a friend of mine I felt comfortable enough to come here. The worst part? Hearing my old car would be sent off to Subaru heaven. But I am painfully aware that I get attached to things that are not living and breathing quite often! I would definitely recommend coming here to buy a car. I see mixed reviews and that kind of scared me a bit, but I’ve also seen it at every other dealership.. but Super Rupair has one of the higher ratings I’ve seen.. and being what looks like a smaller business, I felt pretty darn good about trusting them. That is very rare, because cars & sales can be a bit tricky.Oct 06, 2025 -
I’ve been to another mechanic to try to figure out the issue I was running into with my temperature control not working.
Super Rupair Figured it out in one afternoon and had my car back to me the following day! Thank you so much for being fantastic and kind and knowledgeable!Oct 02, 2025 -
I don’t usually leave bad reviews. Actually, I almost never leave reviews at all but I felt it was necessary this time. My parents used this shop around 12 years ago when they had a few subarus and had good experiences, so I figured they’d be able to help me out with a quick fix. I just needed a bolt extracted from my throttle body.
They spent nearly three hours trying to get it out, failed to finish the job, and still charged me $500 in labor. It’s just a bolt—if you can’t get it done, don’t waste that much time and then hand me an outrageous bill. My regular mechanic later removed the same bolt in no time and only charged me $50.
On top of that, they made a big deal about my car being “built and they dont work with those type of cars" when it’s really just a larger intercooler and a aftermarket radiator. They also claimed all my air/oil separator lines were kinked, but when I checked with my usual mechanic, it turned out only one hose was the issue.
Overall, poor service, inflated labor costs, and unnecessary scare tactics.
Thanks for replying, but I need to clear a few things up. My engine never had a rod knock like you claimed. It turned out to just be a burned valve, and after that repair the car has been running fine.
I also never asked you to guarantee the bolt extraction, only to try. If you didn’t think it was a reasonable job, you could have stopped instead of charging me five hundred dollars for a failed attempt. My regular mechanic was able to get the same bolt out quickly for fifty bucks, which shows how over the top your charge was.
And about the air oil separator, it wasn’t “poorly installed” across the board. Only one line was kinked, not all of them like you told me.
The real issue here isn’t that you warned me about risks, it’s that I was left with a huge bill, exaggerated claims about my engine, and problems overstated just to make my car seem worse than it was.Sep 19, 2025 -
I just transitioned my Subaru to Super Rupair and am glad I did. Easy and fast to schedule. Their work was comprehensive and reasonable. I like how they proactively pointed out things to keep an eye on. Very professional and honest. I'll always bring my car back now!

Very impressed with the team at Super Rupair! I have a 2016 Forester that was making a howling noise and suspected a bad wheel bearing. I made a 9am appointment and was able to get a full diagnostic/inspection on my car, which showed a few other issues as well as the bad wheel bearing, which they were able to do a same-day repair on. I'll definitely be going back and recommending this shop in the future!

TLDR: I really felt like this place did not want to service me or want my business.
I came to get my vehicle checked out after countless recommendations from friends who own subarus as well.
I brought in my vehicle today. I let them know up front that I had an interlock device on my car. Matt stated the shop "doesnt do" interlock and they would ***DISABLE** it before they start working.
Well about 3 hours later I get a notification that my interlock device has been locked out due to the vehicle being started to many times and not blowing into the device. What happened to disabling it? That cost me $80.
Then Matt calls after sending the inspection report over. He was very short with me, barely could tell me what's wrong in words I could understand. No worries, ill get clarity at the shop right? Wrong.
He tells me its normal to have to add a quart of oil every 1200 miles and that the car is using up the oil.. when the inspection report states the oil is leaking, its just not leaking outside of the vehicle. This is what I already knew and came to get an estimate for.
Did I get an estimate? No, I was told its some exorbitant amount to change a wheel bearing.
I paid the $55 for the inspection, left with no estimate and felt this shop clearly did not want my business for whatever reason. That $55 cost from the shop cost me $80 in Uber rides, $80 lockout fees, and a serious waste on my time.
I was really hopeful. Everyone of my friends loved this place.Aug 22, 2025 -
They were fast with the service of the car and on time with everything. Their estimates for how much a repair is going to cost are very accurate. They did a great job, Highly Recommend.

Eric was welcoming, personable over the phone and provided me with the information I requested about the used Honda Odyssey. I drove 50 miles to check it out and test drive the van. Eric took the time to review the van with me so I was sure the various functions were working. We bought the van and He made the buying experience positive.

I was extremely satisfied with Subaru Rupiair! Their prices were very reasonable. I really appreciated that they were upfront about which repairs should be prioritized and which were not time sensitive. We also only have one car and they give out bus passes so you can get home and back to the shop on the bus if you want! Highly recommend for your Subaru repairs

I’ve been taking my Subaru here since I moved to Boulder county last spring; after spending a decade in the mountains desperately and unsuccessfully seeking a mechanic I felt confident and comfortable going to for anything. They’ve proven themselves to be honest and trustworthy, reliable, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. I have never even considered taking my car to another mechanic in the area because there’s no reason to after having discovered this one. I go here for regular maintenance and repair, and have even had to go in twice to have bunnies (safely) removed from the homes they’ve created under my hood.
I believe in the importance of having a mechanic I can trust, who is detail-oriented and respectful, and who always has my best interest in mind. I’m so grateful to have found this with the team at Super Rupair.Feb 24, 2025
