Tried to recycle some electronics including my old tech conference badges and some PCBs I no longer need today. The individual in charge of this first glared at me, did not greet me, and said they would need my name to start processing the items. I said my name is Kelly, then they said again quite rudely TELL ME YOUR NAME. I said it sounds like would be easier for me to type it, and they just shouted louder at me. I finally just took my stuff back off the cart and left. I am not fully clear if the guy was just really hard of hearing or what, but he seemed very upset in general. I would avoid this place.

Prices are soaring!! Bummer service. Manager ignored me (old lady syndrome) and wouldn't help me out when I needed something. He literally turned around when I said I'd have to go somewhere else.

Great service and I love keeping as much out of the landfill as possible. Thanks to you all and your awesome volunteers

We love Charm/Eco-Cycle! Great place to donate usable goods and leftover/un-used building materials or equipment. They offer multiple hard to recycle options at low or no cost!!! Definitely check their website before assuming they recycle everything!!

Easy, affordable and had more stuff for recycling than I thought. Parking lot is a little cramped, but the people are friendly and helpful. Sometimes there is a taco truck!

I enjoy their tool sale, and they have great prices on reclaimed materials for building

Terrible service Asked the guy to wait for me to upload items myself but he didn’t listen and scratched my truck. Then when weighing my items for payment he didn’t subtract the weight of the cart and over charged me. Service is everything. Won’t be going back.

I didn't realize a place like this actually existed until I took an SUV load today full of things left over from home and landscaping renovations that my wife and I had been stressing about disposing of properly. They take such a wide range of challenging materials, and the "Resource" operation that shares the site takes in items such as appliances, used cabinets, windows, doors, etc for reuse. A tremendous community resource, and you can tell that the people working there care about what they're doing. A fantastic experience in a world that has become far too jaded...

Convenient and inexpensive. They’ve got a great thing going and I’m thankful for a recycler like them!

In an age where companies will charge exorbitant fees to take away your trash, Eco-Cycle's CHaRM initiative gives a glimmer of hope for the future of sustainability. I had a TV I needed disposed of, and after shopping around, I was disheartened to see that most companies charge between $30-50 to dispose of one TV. I decided to check out CHaRM, and I was thrilled to see friendly folks ready to help recycle of all sorts of hard to recycle materials. The TV ended up costing a little over $10 to recycle, and it was well worth it to support a business that values sustainability and local jobs.

Paying for recycling doesn’t make sense to me! There was a $3 entrance fee on top of per lbs charge for recycling monitors! Very disappointing!

It seems like a well organized facility. The price to recycle an air conditioner changed from $18 to $45. It's unaffordable to recycle them now.

Gotta pay to recycle? For real? There a plenty of places that you can recycle for stuff for free and some places might pay you for recycling non ferrous items. Don’t waste your time with these tree hugging theives

This is such a wonderful resource! It is the responsible thing to do - I bring my broken electronics and random things here before throwing in the trash. It costs some money to make sure the electronics are going to the right place when being disposed of. But it is worth it. They also recycle all kinds of things - including clothes with holes and stains! One time I showed up with huge boxes of cds and tapes and they helped me separate out the CDs (which needed to be disposed of with the electronics) and their cases - trash. It took a while, but they were so helpful. Thank you CHaRM!

Ecocycle is an invaluable resource in our community. I'm grateful to have a place that I can divert an enormous amount of our household waste that I otherwise would send to the landfill.

Always clean and staff is helpful and friendly. It is wonderful to have a place to recycle the difficult and unusual item Check out the A to Z Recycling Guide online

I love this place! The employees are always so helpful and friendly. The prices are so cheap you could probably build a house from the items they sell…

They take a wide variety of materials/objects you wouldn't expect to be recyclable, and they make the process easy since the place is well organized. I had ~15 broken power tools that I was able to recycle at no cost - awesome! Also shout out to the guy (and the rest of the staff) who found my wallet. It fell out of my pocket here, but was returned with everything in it. Great bunch of folks working here :)

Awesome local source for good reusable things, like appliances pulled during home renovations and donated for reuse, including top name brands like Viking and Sub-zero - the name says it all. See for yourself!

This is a great place to go to recycle! They even have dog treats if you bring your pups. Everything is clearly labeled and it’s a super quick trip. We collect plastic bags, bubble wrap, styrofoam etc and bring it to CHaRM. The only downside is the entrance fee used to be waived for electric cars but they had to drop that now that so many privileged Boulderites drive around in their Teslas.

I wish there were waste reduction centers like this everywhere! They make doing the right thing easy. Good signage, affordable and everyone is super nice. I feel hopeful about the environment when I visit. I live in Brighton and about once a month I make the drive with an SUV load of hard to recycle items. It costs $3.00 if you don't have any additional fee items. Most stuff is included in the $3. They also sell liquid natural fertilizer right at the pay window!

Great first experience! We had a lot of plastic bags and some small appliances and ink cartridges. We were in and out in 10-15 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. The staff are very helpful and friendly and run an efficient operation. Excellent recycling center.

I wish there was an Eco-cycle in every town! Friendly staff and super cool place. They've been helpful in helping me properly recycle things like metal scraps and electronic wires and figure out how to dispose of things properly. They also directed me to where I can take stuff that they can't, such as used batteries.

Just to be clear, I'm reviewing the CHaRM facility, not the main Eco-Cycle facility. I took three boxes of papers that needed to be shredded and, as a plus, recycled here today. Once I entered the facility it was far from clear where I should go. However, after parking and getting directions, it was easy to unload my boxes into their bins. They _do_ charge a $3.00 entrance fee, plus $10.00 per "banker's box" for shredding but this is less than half the price of other places I priced. In addition, they accept more things like stapled paper, paper clipped papers, etc. than, say, the Office Depot I tried (which wouldn't accept either paper clipped or stapled paper). If in doubt though, call and ask. They were very helpful when I called. As always YMMV, but on the whole I had a very positive experience.

I have been to the CHaRM several times for both personal and business use. I love how quick and simple it is to responsibly get rid of and recycle items that should not, or dont need to, go to the dump. The CHaRM is an awesome local resource and it would be great to see more people get on board with their recycling program. Friendly staff and easy to get in and out of. Thank you Eco-Cycle!!!

Everyone here is so darn NICE! I wish we could deliver here every day because they treated us with more respect and kindness than almost every place we deliver to. They let us sleep in their lot for the night, and they even offered us donuts the next morning as they were unloading us. The lot itself has tons of really great refurbished stuff for amazing prices. Made me wish I had the room for some of the things we wanted to buy!! They seem like they're a great place to bring your hard to recycle items, and a huge shout out to all the folks who work here for doing such an awesome job at being environmentally friendly. If we ever come by Boulder again on personal time, we will definitely stop by!

Wasn't sure what to expect but it went great. Arrived 15 minutes before closing, just a brief wait while the person ahead of me finished up. A little confusion since I had such a variety of materials. No question they were going to take everything, just had to spend a little time figuring out how to classify everything. It was a challenging set of items: computer peripheral cards, car stereos, LCD monitors, speaker wire, CD drives, DVD players, networking cable, etc. Final price was very reasonable. Very thankful there's a one-stop operation in the area!

The website includes guidance for tube television dropoff fees. It indicated ~$35 for a 30" television. They're using some independent company now, and they charged over $100 for two 30" sets. I could have done the same at Best Buy for $70. The independent company acknowledged an old PDF on the CHARM site, but that's it. Evidently that was a CHARM fee before this independent company took over electronics recycling. I agree with other CHARM reviews for ease of recycling, a friendly staff, and versatility. But if they're going to outsource they need to keep their site updated to reflect and not have an independent company charge 30% more than what's posted. BTW, the remarks re: great stuff to buy apply to Resource, not CHARM.

This place is crazy Boulder Eco-recycling at its most organized and environmental! Drive your big truck or regular car right up to drop off all your hardest items to recycle from TV's to cardboard. They roll your right through to the appropriate bin for your item. They accept everything from toilets to computers. It's kinda amazing!
