Walked out after 10 mins. Terrible customer service! I made an appointment a week ago for an oil change and for assistance with “tire service” light on my import. I also asked if I could wait while the work was being done. The lady I talked to on the phone was very kind, professional and agreed to all asks.
When I walked in for my appointment, the man behind the counter gruffly asked me to wait while he made a phone call (I was there before he made the call, which I thought was interesting, but I was patient). While on the call he said the person’s issue was a faulty oil filter they put in and they were going to replace it for free. Faulty oil filter was red flag number 1.
I saw two mechanics (I assume they were mechanics) walk by with very sour looks on their faces - reg flag number 2.
When I was called up to check in, I was advised they don’t do tires. I said I asked ahead, but that I’ll resolve a different way. Service was supposedly available by phone, but wasn't in person - red flag number 3.
I proceeded to check in for the oil change. I mentioned I was told I could wait for the oil change to be completed. In a huff the man said “I guess I’ll have to find someone who can do it”. That was red flag number 4 and I walked out. They have lost a potential customer in me with poor attitude. Made me nervous how my vehicle would be treated.
I have been taking my vehicles to HRI for years and have always received outstanding service. I trust John and his staff to do an excellent job and charge a reasonable price without adding unnecessary services.
If I could give 100 stars I would! Jordan, John, and everyone at HRI are amazing. They worked with us for almost three months helping to repair our car. They are patient, kind, communicative, and good people. We cannot thank you enough for the amazing service you've provided us!!!
Brought my Countryman in to have a broken timing chain fixed after getting a ridiculously high bid from the dealer. HRI staff were straight-forward,, estimate was reasonable and I felt confident in their expertise. The entire job was completed two days before I expected, which is always a plus. Pretty sure I have found a great new mechanic for my Mini!

These guys came highly recommended, and have been told they do amazing work! Was excited to do business with them, but here is where the issue I have comes from. Took my vehicle there, explained the problem and told them it was time sensitive. They will NOT call you back, and when you call asking just for an update on your quote they will act annoyed and say they have to call back but never do. Unfortunate.... I'm only giving 2 stars because have been told they do amazing work.I, however, cannot confirm.

I used Highlands Ranch Imports about 6 months ago when I needed my brakes done. I should preface this review by saying that my father was an import mechanic with his own shop for 35+ years. He recently passed and I was looking for a honest shop to send my car to.
I called to make an appointment. The wait time was a week. I was told they’d check to see what I needed, despite me repeatedly saying I knew it was the brakes (that usually something people know about ). When I finally got in for my appointment, I let them know that I’m a working mother (as I did on the phone) and that I’d check in at a certain time because I need my car for picking my son up from daycare.
I called later that day and was told that my car had yet to be looked at. I was confused… the man then said they probably wouldn’t get to it for a few days. What is the point of an appointment if my car is sitting in the shop not even being looked at? I told them I’d come back for it then and the man on the phone said they’d be sure to look at the car today and call me with an update.
They didn’t call and when I called them 30 mins before day’s close, the man said they still hadn’t looked at my car.
The next day, I got a call that they looked at my car and I needed brakes…… duh. But they claimed I didn’t need both sets done. I didn’t think that was the case but I can’t be sure so I trusted them. I was able to pick up my car by the end of the work day. The cost was $200+ more than I have ever paid to have brakes (both sets) and rotors done. It really rubbed me the wrong way. An appointment for nothing, continually checking in when I didn’t hear from them after they told me they’d call me, and the cost of the appointment.
After I got my car back, I was told I’d have a smell in my car. I did but I never had before (wish I had my dad to ask about that one). I also was told I’d hear squeaking while the brakes adjusted. The squeaking and grinding from my brakes never stopped. In 6 months. In fact, the grinding is getting worse. I’m certain I should have had both sets done. None of this feels right to me.
I’ve since moved out of state, so I can’t have them look at the work they did. While I had a pleasant experience every time I called or spoke to someone in person, it felt like a facade for the shop being overworked and potentially not up to par. If I were still in HR, I would definitely be using a different shop in the future.
I highly recommend these guys. Extremely honest and very thorough in any reparations needing done. Great communication as well. We won't take our vehicles anywhere else but here.
Been coming here for several years and wouldn't take my Toyota anywhere else. They are very knowledgeable, upfront and direct with any vehicle issues, and very reasonable pricing. If they can't fix it (audio wiring/leather repair) they have great connections to help. Can't say enough kind words on how they treat you and take care of your vehicle.
This shop used to be good. There was a guy there that was a huge Georgia bulldogs fan. He was the best. After he left Matt and Alex took the helm. What a disgrace. I brought my car in for repair and not only could they not fix it. But they charged me over $500 to release it. I had to tow it (not fixed) out of their l
ot to avoid their over night parking fees.
Criminal operation. Avoid at all cost.
I'd been to another shop for an oil change and was told I needed a rear axle bearing replaced. Their price was around six hundred dollars. I called around for prices and came across Highlands Ranch Imports. The reviews were very good and the price was competitive so I scheduled the work with them. I took the car in and they called me later and asked who had told me I needed the bearing replaced. They informed me the play in the wheel was normal and I didn't need the work done. I am greatly impressed with an honest shop!!!!
John and his team are the only place my extended family takes our vehicles. They are top notch mechanics who are friendly, reasonable and always go the extra mile to make our visits a great experience. We've started taking our kids' cars there as well for service - best in the business!!
Recently had a simple wiper blade replacement and as usual the service was done quickly and with a smile.
Also had a side mirror repair/replacement.
Pat gave a detailed overview of what to expect for the repair and the costs. The service was done sooner
than expected since the part came in early and everything was done exactly as expected. Service was friendly and professional as always.
My family and I moved out here from Arizona a few months back. Back home we had an established network of people we could turn to for housing repairs, automotive issues etc. One of my biggest concerns was finding a decent mechanic here in Colorado.
That's no longer a concern. Highlands Ranch Imports will be our go to spot for the foreseeable future. I took my BMW into them to find out why the brakes were squeaking. They identified the issue, slapped some new brakes on the front, and treated the rear brakes.
No more squeaking. The customer service throughout the entire process was exceptional. John and Pat are great guys. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this shop to anyone in the future.
Started going to Highlands Ranch Imports soon after they opened. Always excellent work, only do what they say they are going to do, don't try to upsell everything. Have helped me out a number of times with some weirder problems, pricing is good and they certainly stand by their work. John, the owner, and Pat are excellent. Wish I could bring my GMC pu there too instead of just my Hondas. You would do well to patronize this shop!
I was in a bit of a bind and needed my Volvo car serviced within 24 hours. Jon and his crew fixed my issue and got me on my way. Their pricing was better than other shops around (including the dealer's). Not only will I be returning, but I've found my mechanic for many years to come. Everyone was very kind and responsive. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to any of my friends and family.
HR imports is always the auto shop for my BMW. I've taken in my BMW 328xi for several issues over the past years. John & Pat take the time to discuss what the issues are and how they should be fixed. Excellent communication and follow up with repair status. Shop mechanics are excellent !!! Pricing can't be beat and quality of work is Excellent. I always shop around when needing BMW maintenance or repair & HR Imports continues to be my 'go to' BMW auto shop!!!
My new go-to shop. I was departing the Avs game the other night and my ball joint decided to fail on the left side of my Acura TL. Luckily I was only going ~5mph so damage could've been worse. For under 900$ they replaced my ball joint on the affected side and the unaffected side (preventative maintenance), the left axle that blew apart, and alignment. It now drives like a dream! They are very knowledgeable and informative, even put 10$ of gas in since I was on E
Honest, reliable, etc. DON'T EVER take your out of warranty car to the dealer! John and the team will do a better job for a lot less money. Like half!! You might not get a fancy loaner, but you will save hundreds on almost any service.

I did some work myself replacing a wheel bearing, control arm, and axle on my X3 and needed an alignment done. I brought it to Highlands Ranch Imports as they were less than half the price of the dealership. They immediately told me they would not recommend an alignment until I replaced the other failing control arm bushing and printed me off the part number and a picture and gave me my car back free of charge. I replaced the part and came back a couple weeks later and they did the alignment in a matter of hours and provided me a copy of the pre-alignment data and post alignment data.
They are very friendly, fairly priced, helpful, and not trying to take advantage of anyone. I would strongly recommend these guys!
i have been bringing vehicles here for over 10 years. their prices are fair, and their wirk exceptional. i moved to the other end of town and all bring my vehicles here. a trusted mechanic is a hard thing to find, but should you choose to being your vehicle here, you will find one. very personable service all the way around.
These guys are great! I'm third generation of an automotive family, and was in the industry myself for years. I have an extended warranty on my AMG E63, so I have to take it to a ASE certified facility for service.
These guys definitely treated my car like it's their own. The work was done properly and all while I waited. The tech was very savvy and well trained.

John and his team are about as good as they come. They've been servicing my BMW X5 for about 6 months now, and the services are always reasonable and done on time. They never push repairs on you that can wait until later or aren't required. Try them out - like me, I'm sure you will regret taking your car to the dealer for all those years!
