they made me pay in advance for the parts. when I arrived the parts were clearly damaged clearly. they refused to refund my money do not deal with these crooks
I recently spoke to a member of staff their and they said they don't have any dodge ram 1500 any 90s model,or any jeeps YJ,XJ nothing from the 90s..so like they don't have much..sad
Dudes were cool there. They helped me with a truck back window glass and didn't huff and puff when I had 21 questions so now I call them first when I need a part.
I never got the chance to go to this junkyard, but I definitely called to get some help. The guy who answered the phone was extremely rude because I asked him about a vehicles color and then to see if they had any other vehicles that weren’t that color. I don’t understand why I need to get attitude from a junkyard employee. Their website says to call for help from their friendly staff. What a bold face lie.
Called to see if they had a specific vehicle and parts. The man on the phone sounded like he didn't even want to help or like if I was bugging him. Based off that, I wouldnt even want to go near their place of business.
Very clean vehicles in inventory. Not picked thru and destroyed like the local you pull places. I will definitely be back next time I need something.

I'm a disabled retiree. I needed parts to fix my Forester. The first person I spoke with was professional. I explained I couldn't remove the parts myself. He said they could pull them for me for a charge. I asked how soon, he said by the weekend. Later, I called to verify if the parts were pulled, they said yes. They said nothing about hail damage. When the parts were picked up the damage was noted and questioned. My choices were to get the parts or refuse and get store credit with a restocking fee. PREDATORY PRACTICES- BUYER BEWARE
Didn't have what I needed, prices were outrageous, staff were very rude and unhelpful. If I'm going to pull my own part, and a new one is or almost the same price or lower online. They used to worth it , now I learned order parts online or from a store get new you'll save money.
Zero stars. BUYER BEWARE! This is the worst experience I've had with a business ever. I called and asked if they had an alternator and side glass for a truck, they told me they had them both, I made sure that the glass had the frame and they that he physically pulled them before i drove 45 min, i was told he had them waiting. When I got there, he looked for 20 min and said he doesn't have the alternator but does have the glass, but I noticed it didn't have the frame, so I was lied to twice at this point. The attitude of the owner and his son was Terrible and I should have just left, but I got the glass anyway, even though he charged me the quoted price with the frame with no frame. I walked to my car and was called back by elliots junk yard in docono and was told he had the alternator and the glass with frame for less, so I walked back in and told the owner I needed to return it. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD ONLY GIVE ME STORE CREDIT THAT EXPIRES AND NO REFUNDS. I read that there is 90 day return policy, but there is fine print. What a scam artist, I didn't even leave the parking lot and he wouldn't give me my money back, in top of that he was VERY rude and arrogant and kept insulting me and rolling his eyes and even answered a call right when we were talking about the return, smoking cigarillos the entire time. Please avoid this toxic business or you may get treated very badly like I did.
Pretty nice u pull yard (I believe they have some parts already pulled as well) with great customer service... I needed a few parts for my 2004 mustang and found them here. Price was very fair as well.. overall a great place will definitely recommend.
I called to inquire about looking for a spare tire. The person I spoke with over the phone interupted me 3 times in about a minute. He was entirely unhelpful and completely dismissed my request. Even when I tried to ask about the self service option, he interupted me and disconnected the call.
Mike & Western Auto was a god send. When I purchased my Jeep J10, I needed a lot of different parts to get the Jeep looking as spiffy as I could for an event I was taking part in and was able to find a Wagoneer nearby. Mike sold parts to me extremely well priced and was quite friendly. I advertise and tell my friends & family if they need parts, don't go to LKQ or Upull, they charge you for even a bolt! Mike on the other hand will give you deals of a lifetime. For example 100 for a door with everything on it? Other places will charge you over 300 in the end. The Yard is small and they will pull parts for ye too, but they have items that others most likely will have damaged or will be gone. It's been a while, but I do plan on picking up some other parts for my other vehicles here soon. Thanks again Mike & Sean!
This is a self service auto salvage yard, so bring your own tools. There is no entrance fee to enter the yard, which is great! I was told at the front counter exactly where the cars I wanted to see were located. The property is only a few hundred yards in diameter so the selection is fairly limited but its an easy walk. You can send an inventory request by email to see if they have the year make and model you are looking for before you make the trip. This was very helpful and time saving for me. The price for parts was very reasonable and will be coming here for parts again!
HORRIBLE customer service! The owner was rude, condescending and unprofessional when I asked him to confirm that the part they were holding for me was the correct one...he acted like it was a huge ask for him to look at it and verify before I drove over an hour to get it.
Once I got the part to the mechanic, it was the wrong part. When I called Western Auto Recycling about it and spoke with the owner, he actually asked me if I asked them for the correct part, which was upsetting given how he treated me when I pushed for him to confirm the part before I even drove up there. From the other reviews I'm seeing, it sounds like they are really good as long as everything goes well and there are no problems or you don't question them...otherwise, you get treated rudely. I definitely would not recommend them!
We have been going to western auto recycling for a couple years. They always try to help us with parts since I own a mechanic shop. They give fair pricing. Will be continuing shopping for all my used part needs.
Called them 3 times and asked them to pull and hold a part for us. Told them that we would drive to Commerce City in the morning to pick it up. When I got there in the morning they had not pulled it and I waited 45 mins for them to tell me that they didn't have it. Would not depend on them to have parts that they list on there site.
This place is the cheapest around for a used radiator for my car. The gentleman that answered my call and was at the desk when i got there is very calm and did not rush me away. He even answered my questions, unlike the other salvage yard ice been to... and that helped me to be a lil calmer, lessen my anxiety about what needs to be replaced on my car.
Hello everyone! I have been coming here for years, and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. they always have the best price in town on whatever you might be looking for.
These guys are crooks. Stay away at all cost. I bought a transmission from them paid 300 for a mechanic to install and it didnt even make it out of the stall. Transmission was junk. Asked for a refund on trans was told they would exchange only. Like im going to spend another 300 to put in another junk trans.
Dont use these crooks.
They were knowledgeable on the phone telling me they had the two parts I needed.
Vehicles were well organized with plenty of room to remove the parts that I needed.
My part was $20.00 where the other salvage yards charged $50.00. The check out guy was very friendly and gave me the second car part free. I was very pleased with the whole experience. They will be the first and probably the only place I call or go to next time.
I bought a car from Mike at western auto recycling. When I tried to pay it off he could not produce a title. I called almost weekly for 3 months. Still no title. About a month after that he sent a tow truck to my house a took my car. He is a crook and a thief. The most unfriendly, rotten person I've ever met. He deserves to be in prison.
If there was a no star I would give them one. This place has a bunch of crooks working for them. They sold me a junk transmission, tried to take it back and didn't even try to give me my money back. Gave me his card and first thing he said said, "Have your lawyer call me." It wasn't a lot of money but it was enough. How can you run a business like this?
