Absolutely Infuriating and Unprofessional - AVOID Firestone Camarillo! My experience at Firestone Camarillo was an absolute nightmare. Despite a pre-booked 1:00 PM appointment, the lobby was deserted. After an extended wait, I had to venture into the shop to find staff. A clerk, Anthony, finally appeared, immediately screaming at me for being "where I wasn't supposed to be." His subsequent rudeness, refusal to acknowledge my appointment, and insistence on a 1.5-hour wait (because he'd sent the only technician to lunch) were beyond unacceptable. When we finally got to the tire, he refused repair, citing a "company policy" about nail proximity to the shoulder – a policy he couldn't produce and which contradicted the actual placement of the nail (inches, not millimeters, from the shoulder). This felt like a blatant attempt to upsell a new set of tires. The complete lack of professionalism, basic courtesy, and transparency is appalling. They wasted over an hour of my time only to deny service under dubious pretenses. This establishment is a masterclass in how not to treat customers. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

Takeaways: - 2 hr 20 mins service duration. Dropped off. - oil change reminder sticker not provided (this was a first, ever). - did not take care when operating the vehicle: smudge marks/human oil from dirty hands or gloves over steering wheel, gear shifter and center counsel. I’ll clean it. - very quick and easy check in/checkout and payment. - staff already had coupon applied, friendly. This place is usually pretty good. Mark was great, thank you!

Firestone in Camarillo is the place to go. Mark is amazing and the services provided are great. If you have any car issues don’t hesitate to go or call this shop. Highly recommended. Will definitely use their services again!

Mark helped me today He was so personable and explained everything so I could understand... Never feel rushed here!!!! Sam is also amazing...... I have even changed my hubby over to Firestone after awful experiences at Honda dealer!!!!! No going back.... Sam is awesome He is very informative and patient and personable...Needed more repairs but there was No pressure whatsoever just informed us on prioritizing our repairs...

Called for wheel balance. Mark took the call. He was awesome. Very knowledgeable, professional. Did not try to sell me windshield wipers or any usual tricks. Mark was very honest and insightful he helped me with some questions for Future tire purchase. I would recommend my sister for services here. What a great and refreshing experience. -Joseph

Lack of professionalism and overpriced. $200 for an oil change. Nah. Got the same services for $98 elsewhere and got the rest of my fluids topped off. But what bugged me the most was the lack of transparency of NOT giving proper quotes.

Refused to service my car because I requested that they don’t get on it too hard during their “test drive”. I was then told to go to the one in Thousand Oaks or Oxnard, when i previously had stated that my car was NOT taken care of and recklessly driven at a previous Firestone. Ridiculous.

Front door guy very nice, the work that they did to my car, no good. they just lost a client. very expensive and not a good job at all, need to take the car to another mechanic

I never write a review but Firestone in Camarillo was great! Staff was very nice and great to talk to. Time wasn't the best but did great work on my car. If you have something to do you should most definitely get pick up and wait for them to call you. If not they do have free Wi-Fi and some stores/restaurant around the area to keep you busy. I will be coming back if my car needs any maintenance in the near future. Thank you Mark, Sam and the rest of the Firestone staff.

Really not sure how to write this but I'll leave you some feedback. This is Michael Tasker, we started using Firestone close to 3yrs ago and have had pretty good experiences dealing with Sam & Jill. I had a leak in my front left tire which I had bought from Firestone and called and asked about getting it fixed. The service suggested an appointment so I made one for 2:00. Brought the car over and talked to Sam. I had intended to wait there while it was fixed but Sam said he wouldn't be able to get to it until about 6:00. I was surprised because my appointment was for 2:00 but said that was fine and that I would walk home about a mile or so away. Sam said he would call me and let me know what was up. I got doing other things and when my wife came home from work at 6:15 she asked me about the car and I said I hadn't hear. She said you'd better call, which I did. I got the service and explained to her about my car and that I had not heard from Sam. She tired to get ahold of the shop but said no one was answering and that she suspected they had gone home. I said to her that I had a Drs appointment in the morning in Moorpark at 9:30 and would she leave a message for Sam. She said she would. I got up and waited to hear from Sam but by 7:30 I decided to call and see what was up and what had happened. I called got Sam and he said he forgot to pass along the message about calling me and letting me know what was going on. I said I appreciated that he owned up to the oversight but I needed the car for a Drs appointment. He then said that he wouldn't be able to get to it until med morning. I voiced my frustration over the fact that I had a 2:00 appointment yesterday and that my car had been kept overnight and that nows he's saying mid morning. I said I would have to walk over now and get my car because it was my ride to the Drs office in Moorpark. I got there at 8:00 and my car was now in the shop jack up with the tire off and I thought cool it's getting fixed. I went in to the showroom and no one was there so I opened the glass door to the garage took one step in to see if I could see Sam to let him know I was there and the next thing I knew Sam was tapping me on the back telling me he couldn't have me in there. I was taken back by the tone from Sam. Honestly I had talked to him maybe 15 times the last few years and thought we had a good relationship. Listen I know I not suppose to be in the garage but my god I was just looking to say I was here! And don't you think he could have just said good morning Mike I right here. Instead we ended up getting into an argument and I asked what the hell happened and then he accused me of cursing at him and then I got mad and said something like what the f are you talking about. And again he accused me of cursing at him. It was a bad and awkward situation and I'm sorry it happened but man all this over a leak in a tire? I sat and waited and got my car in time to go to the Drs and Sam said they found a nail in it and he was not charging me because of the missed phone call and my car being held over night. I would have paid to have the tire fixed gladly but my experience with Sam leaves me thinking I not coming back. My car actually is in another shop right now Hay's automotive getting some work done because of what happened at your shop. You can check our record at Firestone , my wife and I have had several things done the last few years. I know I've written a book but I was really bummed about how the last experience worked out. Maybe I caught Sam at a bad moment I don't know but I felt like I was made to be the bad guy and was accused of cursing him out which was not the case. I was certainly surprised by what happened but I liked Sam and would never direct anger at him, I was frustrated at the situation. Michael Tasker

I dropped off my vehicle early around 11:40am, had an appointment and didn't get my car until 9:00pm. Not to mention the price to change out just 2 brakes is ridiculous. I ended up paying over $900 and didn't get my car out on time. The place is over priced and the time to get jobs done is ridiculously long. Not even discount or money back was offered for my inconvenience to get my vehicle 8 hours later! I would not recommend, take your car to another shop.

I made an appointment for 10am to have four tires replaced and a standard 4-wheel alignment. It took five hours, and they didn't even get the alignment done. I am guessing when you're not there waiting, they take in walk-ins ahead of appointments, but I don't have proof. The so-called manager was in denial and was kind of belligerent and argumentative. Then they tried to bait and switch me on the tire price. I printed out the OUT THE DOOR PRICE from my online price quote. He tried to add sales tax to the out the door price I got. I wished I had checked the reviews which many are the same as mine. Anyone who will listen, never use this store if you can keep from it.

I can no longer recommend Firestone for any car service after my recent service. I previously sent my experience to both Customer Service and the Area Manager. No response from either in over 2 weeks. This is the information is what I provided in a previously submitted survey I completed on Monday, Feb 3, 2025, as well as sent to the Area Manager on Thursday, Feb 6, 2025. My recent visit to this location was for an oil change. I understand that your technicians are trained to examine my vehicle for issues, and this has turned into a good thing from time to time. However, they are making recommendations that I don't understand, other than to lie to the customer to generate more services that aren't actually needed. 1. Their recommended "services" are for parts that were replaced within the last 6 months. One recommendation was to replace my battery. I replaced my battery myself hours before I had Firestone replace my alternator (I was having an electrical issue at that time and started with the battery). Took my car to another shop. My battery and alternator tested normal. 2. I had my front brakes replaced in Jan 2024. This service included a brake fluid flush. Now I'm being told that my fluid is extremely bad and needs to be replaced. This doesn't make sense that my fluid would be this bad if it was replaced a year ago. Again, I took my car to another shop to test my brake fluid. It measured at 2.1%, which is a warning to have it replaced soon but nowhere near the "dark purple, extremely bad, must replace" situation that was shown to me. 3. Tried to explain my concerns to the associate at the store. I was met with an arrogant and condescending tone. I've been working on cars for 40 years. This associate treated me like I didn't know anything about cars and that his "20 years" of experience was absolute. I have been a Firestone customer for many years, originally visiting the Thousand Oaks location in The Oaks Mall before moving to Camarillo a few years ago. I'm not sure what your company's policy is with following up with your customer's messages. I hope that you find the information helpful and as an opportunity to improve the customer experience at this location. Thank you.

Love this place! I went in for a General Vehicle Inspection last week because I'm headed on a road trip from Southern California to Oregon. Car needed an oil change, all four tire realignments, and some other fixes. Got the repairs same-day with constant call updates and some discounts, it was great! Mark is a fantastic salesman and customer service agent. Definitely would recommend!

I went into have a tire plugged. When I was called three hours later to pick up my car, I was told I needed several things replaced, refilled, and repaired. Not sure how you would know that when only the tire needed a plug. I was told I needed two front tires and was shown pictures of worn tires, who the salesman referred to twice as "princess tires". Seemed like an insult but then my husband brought me back and he heard the guy call them princess tires. Anyway, long story short, I looked up the tires when I got home and had the receipt from American Tires from June of last year for the so-called worn tires!

Booked an appointment online two days ago. I'm leaving for a trip this morning, there was a reason why I chose a time and date. This morning, the morning of the appointment I was told not to come in as they had someone else on the schedule. I could have booked with a business that has consideration for their customers' time. Horrible management, horrible place. I will avoid all things firestone now.

I just wanted to say that I saw a man behind your business last night sweeping the floor and cleaning around trash bin and that guy I trust I seen him before I know him he was somebody one day he still is but he's broken, life has hit him hard on him but God has taken him under his wings and he's getting healed thank you for helping him fixing his tire at no charge This poor man was thankful thats probably why he was sweeping the back of your great business Thank you all Firestone guys "Mark" "Angel"and all the FIRESTONE TEAM you have a good heart and want the best for people and their vehicles.i know I've seen it.

Its seems most places I go these days customer service feels like a last priority. However, today I took my car in to the Camarillo Firestone due to a leak in my tire, and Mark really went above and beyond to give me the best experience. His energy was high, he’s very professional and made my situation feel like it was a priority rather than just another number. Amazing experience, very glad I found this location.

I was leaving Ventura County and headed back home to San Diego County when I noticed my dashboard all lit up and realized that my alternator went out. Everyone here went above and beyond to help fix my car. All staff were professional and patient with me as I tried to understand my options with going forward in replacing my battery and alternator. I would say that my wait time was worth it, and I would highly recommend this location to anyone that needs any services for their car. I was able to get back on the road safely due to their time and dedication in helping me get my alternator replaced.

Sam and the staff were beyond accommodating in my time of need. Had a flat tire on the way to the beach and they made the experience unbelievably quick and easy as I am pregnant and had 3 kiddos with me. Definitely turned my day around. Would recommend 1000%.
