Drove up to meet wife at snow play area, stopped on way down in empty lot to take chains off her car tires, a grumpy guy was mad at someone parking there a couple hours, kept setting alarm off on his ring camera after coming out and yelling at them, and the whole time we were taking off chains. Maybe he didn’t want tracks on his snow? A no stopping on parking lot sign would have worked. We had a great time after at the diner in camp Nelson, great service, kids enjoyed it. Anyway he can rewatch his camera footage to see how much of a grump he is, how he gets over it.
Wonderful family operated restaurant with great service and food. I got very bad service down the highway at Pierpoint so left after waiting an hour and it was refreshing to come here for lunch and interesting conversation with the son of the owners.
Unfortunately after driving sometime up the mountain we got there at 5:10 p.m. on a Sunday. We read online that they were open until 6:00 on Sunday's so we thought we had plenty of time. When we got there we were greeted by a sweet poodle and the backs of several 'Bar flies'.
The outdoor area looked lovely and we were hoping to be seated out there but we were told the kitchen was closed at 5:00 p.m.
It would probably be helpful if they stated that on their hours that the kitchen closes at 5:00, not that they close at 6:00
Needless to say we were disappointed.
It may have been nice if they offered a complimentary beer on the patio for the misunderstanding on their website.
Probably won't make that drive again.
The food, environment and service was initially so wholesome and yummy. Until we accidentally parked in front of their "driveway" which is not clearly labeled as it's all gravel. Got cussed out, degraded and blatantly disrespected. Not a kind, small town ran location. Would not recommend
We visited Cedar Slope Brew for the first time this weekend, and it was amazing! We camped up the road at Quaking Aspen (also amazing), and it was nice to be able to hang out at a friendly, local-owned, mom and pop cafe/pub. The food was great, the owners are super-friendly, and the views were amazing. All the bakery treats are made in-house, and the maple-glazed scones were delicious! They have great beer on tap, and the bartender is a great guy to chat with! I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area camping!
Forgot to take pictures because I was too distracted by the beauty and the excellent food! This was a wonderful addition to our weekend camping trip. We had a round of late morning coffee, enjoyed the fabulous views on the deck, and then had the most delicious lunch of pulled pork sandwiches, sliders, fries, chili, and beer. Everything was so good that we were all saying "You HAVE to try this!" and ended up sharing our orders. We were treated to a crisp and refreshing Golden Cross beer from Crusader Brewing which complimented the meal nicely. Service was top notch and so nice. I will be stopping by every time I get a chance.
The vibes are immaculate and the food is fantastic. Despite being nearly all tables full at 1pm on Saturday, our food took maybe 10 minutes. Dogs are allowed to roam and they're all so friendly. The family owned business definitely gives great mom and pop vibes, which it is, and it's just a fantastic little stop on our trip.
We got the chili cup and the pastrami melt with an order of fries (and 1 Pepsi to share), the fries were a large order so don't hesitate on their $8 price tag! The house made ranch with the fries was a nice touch, delicious! The chili was meaty, with a hint of spice, very flavorful. The pastrami was amazing!! It was tangy but also peppery. We also got a fresh blueberry scone and cinnamon roll cookie (to go)
They also have free wifi, which was nice because we had no service for quite a while on our drive.
Our total, with 30% tip, was $56
That was an absolute amazing place, we ordered pork sandwiches, and i want to say that was absolutely the best pork i ever tasted, want to come back one more time and taste beef sandwiches also) If you are near you must visit this amazing place!
My family stopped here during our sequoia vacation adventures. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly. And my kids got a couple much desired souvenirs! What a gem of a place!
AMAZING mom-and-pop business. So welcoming. We loved that it was pet-friendly. The owners were incredible and went above and beyond to give us a great service. We highly recommend and certainly be back when in the area
Incredible spot in an incredible area. Hal has taken care of me for the last 2 afternoons. Amazing chili, great beer, even better coffee! Gorgeous view from the patio. A must visit if you're out in the area!
Grab a coffee and scone whike on your morning hike. Then stop in for a brew on tap to cool down...quaint and cool. The people are very personable...loved it!
The family enjoyed a great meal in the welcoming atmosphere of Cedarslope Brew. Self advertised ‘Mom and Pop’ establishment, the service was nevertheless top notch and food excellent.
We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon ordered a pulled pork and deep pit sandwiches with fries and beers. Excellent food and ate outside to enjoy the weather, we will be back for sure, the owner was friendly with his German Shepherd dog following him around.
If you’re anywhere in the area, this is an absolute must visit! We stopped in here and had a beer and a delicious pork sandwich on the patio overlooking the valley. The owners make everything from scratch, except the french fries. I don’t normally love potato salad, but this was extremely good, too! We didn’t try the coffee shop section of the restaurant, but we did get delightful raspberry scones to go.
My co- workers and I got some beef sandwiches Right before thanksgiving And I have been spreading the word that this is the best food I have had In almost a year working on this mountain It blows any restaurant out of the water in any other town below camp nelson. It is so worth the drive up on the craft to enjoy an amazing meal with an amazing atmosphere.
Customer service is beyond And the view that comes with your meal Is pitcher perfect .
So cute and homey! Stumbled across this cafe x saloon with a large group - the owners were so kind to us, and we loved our drinks and appetizers. I got the matcha latte!
