The team at Powersports of Modesto (formally Cycle Specialties) are fantastic from beginning to end. I’ve entrusted their service dept with multiple bikes, and just purchased a ‘24 Triumph Street Triple Special Edition Moto 2. They carry a relevant selection (ie all the sought out models) and they’re in the business of selling bikes, not sitting on them! Justin negotiated with me for weeks, and never did he make me feel like just another number. If you’re truly in the market for a new toy, this is the shop to visit!

First I'll start off with I love BMWs and BMW makes fine machines and the bike I purchased is an incredible machine. As far as dealerships go this one stinks, first off they have some questionable practices when working with lenders and putting false numbers on the credit application which jacks up interest rate and lied when asked about this, but to be honest I wasn't super concerned about my interest rate because I purchased the bike to build some credit and higher rate paid fast is good for credit building. I paid off half of the loan the next day and will make triple payments, its ok. I purchased a bike with a bit over a thousand miles on it and my first ride I had bolts falling off and a chain that was out of specification right after having left the dealership, they were kind enough enough to replace the bolts since I have a warranty on my bike so decided I would buy some peripherals. I purchased the BMW phone cradle and I asked multiple times before leaving if they guarantee that my phone would not fall out of the Cradle while riding but sure enough on the first ride with this cradle my $1,200 Galaxy S24 Ultra fell right out after hitting a bump on the highway. I talked to the staff about this incident and they were so kind to offer a $500 store credit for all the inconvenience and phone issue, meanwhile I'm down hours having to go back and forth to the shop and sitting around for problems/parts/repair right off the bat and a 1200 phone, thanks for the offer... I would probably not have taken any offer considering I have phone insurance and more focused on customer experience rather than money since i had just purchased an almost 20k bike, but figured I would see how dealer would handle such situation. Would recommend looking elsewhere if you're looking to purchase a bike anytime soon, far superior options available. Eager to see the excuses they make in response just like all the other passive aggressive responses for bad reviews on their page.

The sales manager, Kita, followed up with me the very next day about a question I had submitted online. Very helpful and friendly. My sales person, Nate, was awesome too! At first, I didn’t realize that he was a sales person when he first approached me. Very much NOT a high pressure “salesy” kind of treatment. Very helpful, informative, and professional. From floor sales to counter sales, from finance to management, Triumph Modesto staff treat you like family. They do their best to work with the customer to find the best fit and deal, without high pressure up-selling tactics to wring every last penny they can out of a sale. They made my buying experience a pleasure. I’ll recommend them to anyone.

I have been looking for several months for a 2024 Street Triple RS in Cosmic Yellow and called about 5 dealerships around the bay area. By far the best experience I had was with Junior at Triumph Modesto. Junior worked tirelessly with me as I changed my mind multiple times on what I wanted and how I wanted to structure the deal. He was always positive and willing to help and even though I would be annoyed with myself, he ALWAYS kept it professional. Junior not only provide consistent excellent customer service, but also has the best price as far as Triumph's go. Will come back here again for next bike and highly recommend to anyone in the bay area. My experience was so good that I drove from Sunnyvale to Modesto to look at the bike and negotiate.

I'm very picky about my purchases. I studied my options carefully before deciding on a new Triumph. I was able to get in and make my order with no trouble. The bike arrived from the warehouse and I completed my purchase a few days later. I remarked that I expected a markup of some kind on such a desirable model but Dirk told me that is not Cycle Specialties policy. Overall I was thoroughly impressed. Better than previous experiences with Honda and Harley Davidson. I am sure my next motorcycle will come from the same dealer. Update: Have since returned and bought my second motorcycle here. When the time comes I will make it 3.

Cycle specialties is the place to go! Getting my feet wet with a G310GS and I could not have had a better experience! My sales associate Juve Q. had me feeling like I was walking on the red carpet. He had a friendly NorCal Central Valley kinda feel that made me feel right at home! And shout out to my mans Kita and Gale for doing the same. Thank you Cycle Specialities!

I live in Oakland -- made the trip out here and bought a KLR 650 from Nate. Over the course of a few weeks he patiently talked me through some great options, keeping an eye out for inventory as it rolled through the shop. Nate was deeply knowledgeable, laid-back, and patient with me as I asked a bunch of newbie questions. He grabbed a bike and rode alongside me on my test ride to make sure everything went smoothly. Their inventory here is incredible. So so many bikes and gear. I'm a 6'7" rider, so sitting on a variety of bikes was very helpful. They've got my repeat business next time I decide to get a bike. Worth the drive from SF or Oakland.

I first stopped by here in December 2018 to take a look at the K1600B after test driving it at the Long Beach motorcycle show. They happened to have a K1600B Grand America demo bike. We took it for a drive and were very impressed. I'm not an impulse buyer so out buying a new bike on hold. Eight months later I was looking online and found one in Long Beach BMW discounted substantially. I called Tom at Cycle Specialties and he said "you're not going to have to go to Long Beach to buy that bike, you're buying ours." He offered me a better deal so I bought it in August. I really can't say enough good things about my experience here. I didn't ever feel pressured which is probably why I bought from them. Tom is knowledgeable about BMW motorcycles which helped since this is my first one. Thank you very much.

I was so happy I found these guys. I came in for some new tires and I tell ya. Everyone treated me like I was an old customer (except telling me where stuff was...coffee) Rick, in service was super nice, friendly & helpful. I even got a loaner bike, wow. I called around a lot of places looking for a specific bike, and honestly a lot of the other people from different dealerships and they were extremely rude and I just didn’t get the feel they wanted my business. I called Cycle Specialties and Gale answered towards closing time and he told me he could check if he had the bike coming in and he would call me back the next morning. He was prompt and friendly and called me back the next am. From start to finish they didn’t make me feel pressured and made me feel like my business was appreciated. The salesperson Dirk was awesome and amazingly helpful and he walked me through my bike and gave me a lot of insight on the bike. I would definitely do business again with them and I would recommend you do too!

Easy no hassle dealership, I worked with Tom to purchase a new R1250RT and it could not have gone better. Tom is a very welcoming and experienced sales person who loves motorcycling. He’s been a buyer as many times as he’s been seller, so he understands your viewpoint. I had lots of questions, which we handled mostly through email and text and he was able to answer everything quickly. When I went to pick the bike up everything was perfect and polished and I was in and out in no time. You can’t go wrong with this dealership and with Tom.

Brought my triumph Daytona in this last month to get serviced. Everybody was super nice and helpful. Rick in services kept me updated through the whole process and took care of everything for me. Motorcycle lover here, I stop in from time to time to see the new BMW and Triumph models, and look at the used bikes. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Recently had service on my K1200GT, Rick provided excellent Customer Service as well as John in the parts department making it less painful to part with my hard earned cash, with his hilarious life and motorcycle anecdotes. Talked with Tom in sales about possibly upgrading to a K1600GT and enjoyed salivating over his 1000RR in the showroom. Great team and bunch of guys here at Cycle Specialties, do yourself a favor and visit buying your next bike locally at home here at Modesto Cycle Specialties…!!!

I have a 2021 Yamaha Star Venture Trans Continental that needed a new front tire put on. I removed the tire myself and brought it into Cycle Specialties. I left the tire and wheel by the service entrance and contacted the service writer/ mgr. They immediately started the job. You don't take 370.00 wheel and tire to be mounted by anyone. I wanted professionals that take care when working on high dollar vehicles. No complaints here, fast, professional and price was acceptable. 7/8/2022- Took my 2022 Yamaha Tenere wheels and loose tires in this morning. Again was treated professionally and service was provided quickly and at a reasonable price. I wish they would take on Yamaha, we need a professional dealer here in Modesto.

These guys are great. Super helpful and knowledgeable. The sales staff are friendly and approachable. Gail can answer all your Triumph questions. The service staff is great. They worked on my 98 BMW K1200RS and were able to get it purring like kitten.

I've had my 2014 s1000rr since 2016 . Cycle specialties is the only place I would take my bike for services. The bike itself is awesome but as far as customer service at cycle specialties, garbage. As far as the mechanics at cycle specialties, extreme garbage. I would say probably 50% of the time I would get my bike back from them something would always go wrong. I would take it there and the bike would be just fine. Just want a simple service job and when I'd pick it up something would fall off or breakdown or fairings put on wrong etc.and I'd either have it towed back down there or picked up by them and then they would try to charge me for whatever they broke or lost or whatever. Cycle specialties is complete garbage at least the one on Carpenter is I do not at all recommend you take any motorcycle there. I'll never go there again. Sad too. You think they treat you right owning a higher end bike I spent a grip of money there. Cycle specialties is trash!
